I would like to know when in the world are they going to release the greatest Mario Bros. game of all time on GBA?! I mean, this was the only reason that I had bought my GBA (now I have a SP as well)! I was hoping and praying that they wouldn't skip Super Mario Bros. 3, the greatest game of the series of them all, on the Super Mario Advance trilogy. I pray that this doesn't get left out, let alone, the original Super Mario Bros. What were they thinking? Please game releaser gods, don't do this to me! I must own this on GBA SP. My collection wouldn't be complete if this doesn't come out soon. I mean, *what were you thinking* when you guys thought it would be a good idea to skip the legendary Super Mario Bros. 3! You know that this was just about everyone's favorite game of them all, so many powers and baddies, and power-ups. I must own this, so please I beg of you, release it! Fans will be happy.

Back in the early days of the NES era when Mario was famous with his gang. I got this game and my broher and me fell head over heels for Mario. The verus games where you go head to head with mario and lugi were fun to play. This has to be the best Mario game second to the orginal Mario Bros, and third to the SNES Super Mario World. When it comes out I plan to purchase it and play head on with my younger bro. It has 8 worlds like the orginal with Bowsers kids being the boss's in each level. The power ups are cooler, and the levels are hard only if you have never played the orginal nes game before. I say that Mario fans out there should go out and buy all three GBA games.

Out of all the Mario games this is to be the worst. I mean come on you get in a suit of a frog and racoon? This would be great for little kids from 5 and under. Everyone else stay clear.

Super Mario Bros 3 is the best game that came to the NES and the SNES systems. Now people who buy this game will say that this game is #1. The new items that are in this game are from super mario Bros 1,2,3, and Super Mario world like the white feather, the vegetables, and the football guards. On level 5 and 7 the bad guys on the airship you have to fight can be a tough time. When you hit them on your first move they start to bounce up and down shaking the airship to destroy you so the item you can use for Mario or Luigi is the P-wing. It help fly higher to get away from danger in only 1 stage. when you have beaten Bowser the princess will be in the castle and she will say that she is in another castle but it's just a joke. The strongest item in this game is the tanooki suit. You can turn into a statue for a short time and the P-wing is very powerful. Your mission is to save all 7 kings from all 7 stages and save the princess from Bowser to restore peace to the mushroom world. My advice can really help you alot so have fun.

I must have devoted 200 hours of my young life playing this game on my Nintendo. I'm not even one of those Mario freak[s], I play all sorts of games, from strategy to 1st person shooter like Halo and Jedi Knight 2. Yeah those games are all good, but can they even come close to such a classic? Each world provides you with a whole new adventure. I mean, could this game offer any more variety? You've got your desert land, water land, GIANT land (very sweet) ice land, sky world, grass land and KOOPA KINGDOM or Dark Land (Hardest of Them all by far) And Mario himself doesn't get old or boring either. The different suits that Mario ends up wearing are numerous, all providing a differen't type of gameplay. And the small portion of time (well depends how good you are at not getting hurt) that you actually end up getting to wear those different Mario suits is always a pleasure. My favorite being the one you barely ever got to wear, likely the Mario dude that threw those axes or whatever they are. This game never gets old, its a story in itself. And after all the time I've used playing this game, I'm still ready to start back up again, so please, have no fear when it come to replayability. Each level in this game is a classic. I dont even think I beat this game without using a game genie, and if I did it was only after I had been playing it like 5 years. Super Mario world on the other hand, I beat in like 2 weeks. If a game gives you 200 (perhaps more) hours of enjoyment, its one heck of a game. NO wonder its one of the best selling games of all time. Voted: Best game ever.-

I have seen platformers come ang go over the years, but few hane come close to the quality, amount of imagination, not to mention addictiveness of Mario Bros. 3. This game is just another port like the other Mario Adv. games, but with a few extra features. The best of which, is the e-Reader connectivity. In screenshots, you'll notice things from previous Mario GBA games. These are only unlockable through the e-Reader cards that Nintendo will start to put out soon after the release. I don't know if they have hit Japan yet but they'll come. Definately worth the money. The only drawback is it isn't a new Mario game. But since Nintendo is running out of old games to port, we may see a new one soon.
It's about time.

Obviously as this review is written the game isn't out yet but who the hell didn't play Super Mario Bros. 3 in its older days? In 1990 this was THE game to get! It had the biggest selling release of all time until 1999 when the more than disappointing FFVIII came around.
I'm not reviewing the NES one but rather the SNES one since that's the one we're going to get obviously! This is the best Mario game ever made! The only one that could possibly be better than this is probably Super Mario RPG on the SNES.
I'll admit I was disappointed when Nintendo re-released Super Mario Brothers 2 and then they SKIPPED THE BEST MARIO GAME and came out with a re-release of Super Mario World and then Super Mario World 2. I couldn't believe my eyes when I heard thatt they skipped this one!
The reason why this is the greatest Mario game is because this focuses on EXACTLY what a game should focus on (Back 13 years ago especially) and that is gameplay! These days gameplay is what games tend to lack. They get tediously long (making you never want to go through it all again) and are much too focused on storyline that they forget what keeps people coming back to the game and that's gameplay.
Graphically this was by far the best looking NES game in those days and on the SNES it was just so much better looking. However, I can't say the same for the music. I LOVED the music on the NES version but in the SNES version the music got worse. Sadly because of the GBA it WILL be worse on the GBA (Super Mario Brothers 2 had worse music as well in it's re-releases).
The controls scheme of course is top notch and easy to do as it is in most Mario games. If you're like me you were without a doubt a little displeased with Super Mario Sunshine. But this game will make up for that.
However, I still don't like that once again we're getting a RE-release of a classic game for the GBA. When are we going to get a NEW Mario game on the gameboy advance? We've been waiting FOREVER!
Still, when this game is released remember the old NES days and the SNES days and you'll KNOW why this is the best Mario game of all time.
Five stars if this game is faithful to the original

SMB3 is the best Mario platform game (i can't say "the best of all" because i haven't played SM64 and the Mario game of the Game Cube), but what is that about "ripping" vegetables from the ground (a la SMB2) and using the magic cape? (ala SMW).
The SMB2 remake for the GBA suffered from montruosity alterations from the original SMB2... is this game is going to be the same? if that's right, what a shame
