I love super mario bros. 3 but it's time for Nintendo gameboy advance to release some new games instead of taking old games from NES & SNES. Just a list of some of the games which are not new and put on GBA:
Super mario world from SNES
Super mario bros. 2 & Super mario bros NES
Super mario world 2, Yoshi's Island SNES
Donkey Kong SNES
Those are just a few!
and I think it's fair to say that there hasn't been any new amazing games that haven't been already on NES or SNES. Nintendo is making the money bags just rereleasing games instead of making Super mario bros. 4 or Donkey Kong 4. Nothing new! Now it would be alright it they had some, but they really have no new games for the most part. All and all the games are great and it is a great way for the younger crowd that didn't have SNES or NES but give me a break, Nintendo needs to develop some new material.
one of THE best platformers you can buy... EVER

If you remember the olden days when Super Mario Bros. 3 was on the original Nintendo systems, you should definitely get this game. People who also want a good platformer to tide them out for about twenty hours, get this game. The game starts out easy, but gets harder with each level you beat. The graphics are all candy to your eyes, and the E-reader connectivity is a great new addition to an already great game.
The final say:
If you remember the original SMB 3 on Nintendo, get this. If you want to know what all the hype about this game is about, get this game.

I admit it Im one of the ones who think that Super Mario Bros 3 is the most overrated game of all time.Sure its fun but the graphics and controls were better in the sequel that is known as Super Mario World.I have to say though out of the 3 Mario games that were available on the original N.E.S. this is the best one with the original coming in a close second. This was also the first sign of Mario's evolution.I mean take the last level for example. The last levels in Mario 1 and 2 were pretty hard but not this hard. There is a fortress in the middle of it that is extremely comples. This is a game of skill and strategy.
Also I think that the graphics here are some of the best available on the Game Boy Advance. They arent as good as Metroid Zero Mission but they are excellent for a 2 dimensional Mario game.Super Mario World is a better showcase but this comes in a mean second. If you have a Game Boy Player hooked up to your Game Cube to play this game it will be like having a Super N.E.S. all over again.
Fun, fast, and challenging (for me)

Okay, so this was an NES classic, blah blah blah. I couldn't care less about its history. It is the port that decides if the GBA version is good or not. And let me just get this out of the way: Buy this game if you are interested in platformers even a little. It has all of the great qualities of other Mario games, but more items, better levels, and best of all, e-reader compatability. This game gets quite challenging after a while, and you need some good reflexes to beat the bosses. In short, it is one of the best games out for the GBA. Well, what are you waiting for? Buy the %^&! game already!
ported from the nes to the gba sp
