I had the game for almost a year and just started to play it. I got my husband hooked also and he was up until the next morning playing it. Recommend this to all and we are in our 30's.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is a lot of fun. You build a amusement park and you have to make sure you dont run out of money. People can even die on rides. Its a lot better that the first rollercoaster tycoon.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is a great game to play again and again and even let your kids help our running the parks and building rides. We own both versions 2 and 3 and have gone back to playing version 2 because it is easier to manage and allows for more creative landscaping.

In any version these games are great at teaching problem solving. (The main problem being generating enough money to manage the parks.)

So far I've found the scenerios in version 2 worth going back to again and again. The ones in version 3 just aren't as much fun although the graphics and the addition of nighttime and fireworks are fun to watch.

I just got RCT2 today and it's great so far! The only problem is that it's a little more confusing than Zoo Tycoon. I had to read the owner's manual for some things. It's also a LOT harder than Zoo Tycoon. The guests are a lot more needy, but they are less annoying than the Zoo Tycoon people. Example:
Zoo Tycoon people: "I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I don't like this zoo at all; I'm going to an amusment park."
Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 people: "Wow! A new ride is being built! This park is so nice and clean. The Bumper Cars ride was great!"
See the difference???
With RCT2 you can make your own custom roller coaster, too! And you can name it anything you want: The Phantom, Insane Twister, Psyclone, e.c.t. That's cool. The graphics could have used a tad bit more tampering with(just a tad bit!) and the music that you can accompany the rides with is great! RCT2 take a little long to load, though. And one more thing; this game has all senario games so you can't do freeform game like in Zoo Tycoon. Oh well. It's still a rad, awesome MUST have game!!!

This new Rollercoaster Tycoon game rocks becase there are new types of coasters such as a giga coaster or a multidimetion roller coaster! It also has pre made parks like Six Flags Magic mountain!You have to get this game! [...] And this game fetures its own web site so you can dowload new parks ond Coasters[...]

it is a sweet game when you get the chance get the GAME!it worth the money and if you Roller Coaster Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon the second one and if you liked Roller Coaster Tycoon Loopy Landscapes the latest one yet then you'll love this one even better!!! and if you dont even have the game and don't like or even kinda like Roller Coasters you'll still love this game. for those who don't have this game then buy the first one or better yet borrow it from a friend (it saves more money!)or you should buy the gold edition. then buy this one. and for those who dont like this game YOU! ARE! WIERD!!! once you install it you'll be hooked on it for 1-5 years! then stop playing for a little bit then you'll play it for another 4or5 years!don't forget to BUY! THE! GAME!!! now i'll tell you why I like it, because its awsome theres bathrooms,information booths, and food booths and you can look through rides which lets see through bathrooms and see people going to the bathroom. and you can make sidewalks go under ground and also the Roller coasters can (the main ones)and also can train stations which you can transport the people in!

I think this game's really fun!

This game is so much fun! You can build rides, make shops, and try to be a tycoon. Also, to the guy who says you can't make your own coasters, you have to choose the first option. The only flaw I find with RCT2 is that the graphics stink. However, I think the little park guests are really cute and cartoony. There's a flaw that another reviewer mentioned. The rides are either too boring or too scary for the guests! For some reason I have a *special* talent for getting high intensity rides with low excitment. Well anyway, gotta run. Bye!

I revieved this game from my husband for Valentine. I wanted it because it has rollercoaters from SF parks. I rode quite a few of these rides and the PC game rides are like the ones I rode. I wished you could ride these rides on the computer game. It would make it much better. I really enjoy playing the game I don't even play my PS2 rollercoaster game now that I have this one.

Almost like an expansion of the original

RCT 2 is basically the original RCT with more rides to build and different parks. The visual and audio aspects of the games are exactly the same, and if one did not know any better, one could mistake RCT 2 as an expansion of RCT 1. Even though RCT 2 doesn't really bring anything new to the table, it is still a great game and I recomend it.
