happy yet dissapointed

i like the game but it seems that this should have been an update not a new edition. with that said i like the new tools editor so that i can discover all of the avaiable booths and rides. the colors revert back to strange colors on my system but maybe i should go to the website and download a patch i dunno but it is definately not true colors. i dont like that the predesigned rides come with scenery and que lines so when i make a mistake and have to demolish the ride i end up spending 2 or 3 minutes to delete the que lines and scenery that came with it

...afer all this time I'm very disappointed there were NO improvements to the original interface. We have the same hard-to-use landscaping tools (just try digging underground); the same weak zoom (only one level) and the same 90 scene rotation. These problems make building things very difficult and, since there's still no undo feature, you can lose a ton of money if you make any mistakes.

Example: if you place an object, like a $12,000 coaster, you're money is gone immediately. If you find you need to rotate it or move it one square...you can't. You have to demolish it (and get a PARTIAL refund) then build another one for another $12,000.

RTC2 is the exact same game as the original, with a few new bells and whistles. Lovers of the original (like me) will want it for the new parks and scenarios, but will be disappointed in the lack of improvements. New users will, of course, be thrilled because Roller Coaster Tycoon is one of the best games ever produced. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is, again, no improvements to the old program.

i have 3 comments 1.it rocks 2.IT ROCKS and 3.IT ROOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCKKKKSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! 10 out of 10!
the best part is u can make your own rides! not like sims theme park, u have 2 put down already made rides. and on both modes u have to spend money(not real money, just videogame money to buld the parks). this one has great graphics and even awesome features.
Features-
U have a new game feature and a scenario editor that lets u make brilliant parks. infact u barely dont have 2 use the keybord!

Graphics-
Amazing effects. and any computer can play it!

My suggestion-

I have been a Roller Coaster Tycoon addict since the first one came out. I have all the games and all the extension packs. This game is so awesome! I can play it for hours at a time and not get bored. There's so much to do and so many possibilities for rides and scenarios and scenery. The only bad thing is that they don't have good graphics and you can't ride your rides. But that will be resolved when Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 comes out later this year. This game and all the Roller Coaster Tycoon games are worth buying. A++++++

Ok. I have to admit, I wanted fireworks. Otherwise this is a great game. Although, if you buy this, buy an expansion. Don't buy it alone. If you buy it alone, it is ZzZz(...).

Rollercoaster tycoon is a great game. I like to build very extreme coasters and cool atractions. I'm very happpy because the new rollercoaster tycoon is comming! If it is released i gonna write a new priview. So, i wish jou luck with rollercoaster tycoon and if you don't got it, i say : buy it here!

This game is a theme park lover dream! You not only learn how to make you park profitable. You can cause a trend of popularity or a build a very expensive ride that makes tons and tons of money and you never have to take a loan out again.

Hi i am hoping that you will help me. I just got this game yesterday, but i am really confused. On my parks, I couldn't set a price for a ride to go on. I clicked the arrows to make it go up or down but it wont let me set an admission price. I tried it on the middle level and it wouldnt let me. Will you please help me?

Its an ok game, but they could have made it better.
Its basicly like Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 (RCT1), exept there is more rides, and u can add music to youre rides.
Baiscly I think you shouldent get it now, because I hear that Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 (RCT3)is coming out!
Its gonna be 3d, and you can ride the rides you build.
(...) Basicly I think you should wait untill (RCT3) comes out, and dont buy it just when it comes out, cause there probebly will be expentions or something.

First off, I will agree, that RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is not some great changed product from the first one. The basic premise is exactly the same. However, there are many features that weren't in the first one that are in this one that make it worth owning. The addition of Six Flags rollercoasters adds a unique dimension to the park, especially if you've had the good fortune to visit any Six Flags. The option to build your own scenario is challenging, but fun. All in all, it's not a bad deal for your money, I love it, and will always put it on my favorite PC games of all times list.
