The Newest Saga, Sort of...

Pokémon Crystal is Nintendo's newest version of Pokémon. Although it is very similiar to Pokémon Gold and Silver, it does have somethings that are different.

One of the first, most noticeable, differences is the choice of whether you want to be a boy or a girl, and I really love that option! Most guys don't understand how nice it is to PLAY a girl when you are one. That way you can use your own name without it being REALLY weird!

Another nice thing is the Battle Tower. This gives you the chance to prove yourself over and over again against other pokémon trainers in the game!

Suicune has also being made into a sub-story. There is a rival to catch it, as well as a final battle with this magnificent legendary dog. Suicune has been modified so that it's more easily caught, but you don't want to mess up, or else Ho-oh goes out the window too!

There are many other things, such as Unown Mystery, the modified cellphone calls, different locations of pokémon and the battle animation. You sorta get used to them after awhile though.

I find the game very fun, and more challenging. You get used to things being certain places, and looking certain ways, Pokémon Crystal mixes that up a little bit. But I'm sure I speak for many Pokéfanatics out there, "We Want Pokémon Advance!"

i luv this game i play it 24/7. .... i think this is improved because it is improved because the pokemon animate as well as playing as a girl trying to catch celebi(yes you can catch it for the first time without cheating) you also go deeper into the mystery of the unown.like you have to use an escape rope on 1 puzzle. i think getting a gs ball is cool too i won't reveale more get your own one and come and live the magic.

This game is absolutely fantastic! It's cutting details held me gasping. The "unrare" shiny pokemon are so awesome. I adore how cool the pokemon look! This game is definatly a must-getter1

The ways of the Suicune!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST POKeMON games I've ever played! This game you can actually capture Suicune, get the Crystal Bell goto the tower, face the wise sages, defeat them, goto the tower where Suicune wishes to meet and challenge you, save before you enter the tower, take on Suicune, have Ultra Balls, capture him and you'll beat the rest of the game no sweat! Level up some strong POKeMON against Ash, yes you POKePlayers, Ash, Pikachu is probably the only POKeMON to give you any real trouble! Ohter than that, the game's a piece of cake! Extra features include "Battle Taunts" (POKeMON taunt other POKeMON when comming out, map, so when you enter a new town, you don't worry about getting lost and other trainers say a lot more things than what they say in the fist two installments. Than the rest is the same!!!

I have been saving up for a gameboy advence for awhile (the special pokemon edition i bought online) and i was lucky enough to get a sweet deal since it came with a Pokemon Crystal. Anyway all i know is that this game rocks! I havent even had the game for a week and iam already addicted to it! It is the best game around i will tell ya that much.

this game is the best pokemon game. I found it alot easier to catch certain pokemon in this game. The battle tower in Olivine is great. Some pokemon are very hard to get like ho oh. Celebi can't be found at all in the game though. You redeem togepi but you also get a mystery egg. It could ge igglybuff, pichu, cleffa, etc. i beat the elite four easily. when hooked up to stadium 2 on nintendo i can do lots more. it is great for being a pokemon master

This game is great! It has all new adventures. It has new places like Battle Tower and a bargain shop on the top of the Goldenrod department store. You get an odd egg at the day care that will hatch inta a Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Pichu, Cleffa, or an Igglybuff that knows Dizzy Punch. Some of the trainers that call you on your phone will give you items like evolution stones or berries. You can play as a boy or a girl, which is great for girls. Suicune appears in the Tin Tower, making this the perfect game to catch it in. Pokemon know moves that they normally don't know. A new radio station gives away points that you can trade in for prizes.You can get new prises at the game corners. The move tutor will teach your pokemon moves that they can't lear otherwise. Overall, it's a great game. Even if you have Gold or Silver or even both you should still get this game. I hope this review was helpful.

Addicting

I bought this game a long time ago a little while after it came out. It is a great game, and like i said very addicting. At first i just played a little and i couldn't figure out how to get out of my home town (i don't remember the name of it) and so i didn't play for a while. Then i bought the guide book and figured it out AND I PLAYED NON STOP!!! i would even play it in the car when my mom took me places. I have played for something like 95 hours (it keeps track for you) (i checked last night cuz my friend told me how to duplicate pokemon, and i was checking to see if it works.) any way i beat the game a while ago and now there is nothing else to do except collect pokemon. i got suicine, but i can't get raiko or the other legendary dog. I don't have a master ball cuz i used it to get suicine and the dogs run away one turn after they show up, so i can't catch them unless i have another master ball. So i beat red, the guy after the elite four, and there isn't much else to do, that is why i stopped playing. I think something happens afer you catch all three legendary pokemon but i'm not sure, as i have not done so yet. Any way all in all it is a great addicting game, and i highly reccomend it, altho i suggest a guide to go along with it, for those tought times when you get stuck.

Well worth the price.

Pokemon have made many great games, but every time they just get better and better. In this game you battle tones of trainers and gym leaders (just the usual). This game is really long, that is if you want to complete 100%. But that would only be the real setback. But all in all it's fun and interesting.
You can catch Entei, Suicune and Raikou now. Well worth the effort. The graphics aren't the greatest but fairly detailed, just like any other pokemon game. Buy it.

In case you can't tell by my perfect spelling, I'm not a young kid to whom this game is directed. But, from my point of view, this game is quality.

Yesterday I went back and played Pokemon Red for a few minutes. I couldn't stand it any longer than that! Crystal is so much better when it comes to graphics, color use, extras, and smoothness of gameplay.

The color is actually used! Remember in the other games how the battles are all one color with shades (kinda purple)? Well, now the battles are in real color, and the animations for attacks are cute. The pokemon actually move around before a battle. The towns and routes are much more colorful too. The quality of the graphics has improved too. The lines are smoother, and the pixels are smaller. The animation is also smoother. Some of the pokemon graphics have changed, like Golbat - it no longer has its tounge sticking out and slobbering (this is an improvement). You can choose to be a guy or a girl! This is fantastic for us female gamers. Then you look in the mirror and it says "looking good"!

Extras: There are little things that make the game more interesting. There are trees with berries, more items, trees that you can headbutt, baby pokemon, new HM moves, a money saving option, a cell phone, a radio, etc. But the thing that I liked most was that it knows what day and time it is! So different pokemon will come out during different times of the day. Read the manual when you get the game.

What was wrong with it, you might ask? Well, it's more of the same old pokemon game. Even though it's Johto, you can go through Kanto when you beat the Elite Four (who, I'll add, are not the same people). Kanto is really boring because if you've trained well, the gym leaders are easy there. Your cell phone has limited memory, some things in Kanto are closed, and you can't win the bug catching contest!!!! To those of you who want to catch Suicune, don't try. I didn't because, to a programmer, you have to make it faint for the game to move on. Try catching Entei and Raikou instead. Your rival is not as fun as Gary. Some things are way too easy to figure out. Sometimes, the ultra ball won't work, and the great ball will. Small things detracted from enjoying it.

Oh yeah - Kurt is a good addition because you don't have to buy all of your pokeballs. Another good thing is the pokemon day-care where you can leave pokemon and then find an egg. "We don't know how it got there..." well duh! They do try to make it a kid game.

The ruins of alph is the only thing that is a little difficult.

That's about all I have to say. Get it if you're a fan of pokemon. It's a big improvement and the best pokemon game you can get if you only have a GBC.
