I bought this as a birthday present for my husband and we love it! I am not very good at video games and this is one that we can enjoy together!

I purchased Rock Band for my 13 year old son. We had to choose between Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Guitar on Rock Band has been reviewed on other sites to be better. Drums are quite nice. Overall, good quality from the musical instruments. The game is a lot of fun to play. Amazon's price was much cheaper when you factor in free shipping and no sales tax.

Ok, so I'm not a gamer, in fact I hate most of these games because I am just not coordinated enough to play them. I've never even owned one because I don't want to waste my money. But my friend was hooked on guitar hero, so when I saw this game and read the reviews, I knew I had to get it for her. She has the perfect party house and we spend a lot of time over there, so I thought this would be something that we all could play. I knew I could at least fake singing on this one. But, from the first time we got a song moving, we were in stitches, loving every minute of it. I've even become a pretty decent bassist!!! Who'd have thought? We ALL love it. My friend's husband is a drummer, so he hooked his headphones up to the 360 and wears them while playing these drums..it rocks! Only problem is he can hear the singer pretty clearly and for the most part, we all sound horrible even though we can score well on it! Rock on!

Got this for my son for his birthday. He had Guitar Hero, and this steps it up by adding drums and vocals. Not sure if it's our settings, but I couldn't hear the drumming or vocals very well through the TV. Drum parts are surprisingly challenging (I'm a drummer). Rock Band also takes the physical interaction even farther than Guitar Hero - you can actually work up a sweat playing the drums.

Have your friends over, have some drinks and play this game. I just did it Saturday night and I'm still laughing to myself Monday morning. Not only did we establish a band but we also had roadies, a manager, and even some groupies. The comic banter this game generates is worth the price alone.

Cool game. Lots of fun with friends and family. I wish that the special edition came with 2 guitars, it seems like we're always borrowing one from a friend.
Also, the cordless guitars (from Guitar Hero) work well with this game but you can't buy them as a Rockband package? what's up with that?
Anyway, we want more older songs and wireless devices...other than that awesome!!!

This is easily the best rhythm based game available. The full kit gives you the ability to play drums, guitar (or bass guitar) and vocals. You can play solo on any instrument, as a local group on the same Xbox or over Xbox Live.
Awesome game and great music selection. Must get for any gamer. If you'd have to find a down side, it may be a bit pricey, but you do get 2 instruments and a microphone, as well as the game, so it's not a bad value.

I am not a guitar or drum player generally - but we had one of these at a carnival at work, and it was tied up all day with folks either playing or watching their coworkers play! We had so much fun! Put it on EASY and anyone can be a Rock Star!!! What a fun toy - and all of us are adults - it's not just a kid thing!
