A great game with some faulty hardware

Rock Band is about as fun as a game of its kind can be. Guitar Hero was always a well received franchise, but the addition of drums and vocals certainly helped Rock Band set itself apart. Playing Rock Band with 3 friends is a gaming experience that all should try. My only problem with the game is probably the guitar problems that everyone, including myself, seems to be experiencing and perhaps the music available. I'm aware you can purchase more songs via the Xbox Live Marketplace, but the game itself was already $[...]. For that price-tag, it would have been nice to include a few more. Overall, even though it is a bit pricey, Rock Band is certainly worth checking out, particularly if you have a few friends willing to join you.

The actual game is great. The only frustration is in the individual "instruments" and their poor design quality. The pedal on the drums broke after about 1 week, and the strum bar on 2 guitars went out. I am questioning if others have had these issues, and if there will be a recall.

my son thinks this game is so much fun. i think he actually likes it more than guitar hero only because it allows you the opportunity to sing, play the guitar, or play the drums.

This game smokes guitar hero on graphics, animation, and song selection, although hardcorde GH3 players will find that it is not as challenging on the hard or expert levels. But WHO CARES! Why play lame one player when you can rock out to some bad a$$ drums, bass, and wicked kareoke! This game is excellent for parties! Ever have your girlfriend or wife just sit there and watch you play HALO, well tell her to grab a guitar or microphone and rock out!

This edition is excellent for any social activity although you might need another guitar to plug in the bass player.

Excellent for parties and weekends. its definitly a must have and the ablility to buy songs through XBOX LIVE adds limitless fun to the whole pack

I agreed to get my boyfriend a game for Christmas, but only on the condition that it be one I would want to play with him. We have both (and all our friends) been so surprised at how much fun Rock Band is. We have toured the world and unlocked all kinds of songs from our childhood days -- as well as many from more current decades. It is such an awesome feeling to conquer a song that you always used to sing to in your car or in front of a mirror....or to play the drums and pretend you really are Neal Pert....or freak out on the guitar as if you really can play a solo like that! Don't worry though. It is nearly impossible to master these songs. We can't get past the Medium level very well, even with songs we know by heart. So, you won't get bored if you like a challenge!

The only thing that would make the game better is if there were about 100 more songs to play through. But I have read that they will continue to release more every week of 2008. Hopefully, it won't be too expensive to download them!

This game is one of the great cooperative multiplayer games ever. It's become a Friday night ritual among my friend to get together and rock our virtual band.

My only real complaint is that the solo tour options are not nearly as robust as the multiplayer tour options. Also some of the multiplayer options are lost when you play with friends over Xbox Live. Those complaints aside this game is a must-have in my book.

XBOX 360 games rarely bring a family together but this Special Edition involves everyone into the action. Even my two year old can bang on the very well put together drum set. (Not connected, of course, during play!) Our whole household are musicians so we have a great time as a band and trying to best each other on the singing part. We used to have Karaoke Revolution parties with all of our professional and veteran amateur singers and it would be a riot with hours of fun. This takes it up a notch with the ability to play drums, sing, guitar and bass lines. With some of the Impossible songs, we're lucky to just get off the start line and maybe get to 20% of the song before we get booed off, what a challenge! Now, if they can get some Led Zepplin, Cream and Pink Floyd, this would be the perfect package.

The game is a lot of fun. Our whole house plays it ... from six to forty-five. We did have a problem with the guitar ... Amazon was wonderful. Overnighted a replacement and refunded my shipping when they received the damaged product. I could not have asked for more.

Fun for teenagers

My son loves this game. His friends come over and play for a few hours. They laugh and interact which is great for them. Not like some of the other more serious games that require you to shoot and hunt people down. The only problem I had was the guitar stopped working properly and I sent it back but have not received a replacement yet. It's been 4 weeks.
