It's Golden Sun

For starters, I'd like to say that this game is a great game, despite it's low price (because people seem to think that lowly priced games are the bad ones) and provides good entertainment.

I'm not saying this to say that kids shouldn't play this game, but it sorely depends on what the parents feel they should keep their children from. That sounds quite original, right? Wrong. Some sections of this game shouldn't be viewed by kids 9 or younger.

I'd also recommend playing Lunar Legend; Breath of Fire; Pokemon Ru/Sa or Legend of Zelda series if you enjoyed this game to it's full extent.

By far the BEST console game I have ever seen!

As of the time I am writing this review, I have had this game for three days. Let me tell you, I am astounded. This game has the BEST graphics of any console game I have ever seen, and the battles are breathtaking. True, while the basic storyline may have been used before, Golden Sun somehow makes that plot new again.

I will admit, some parts are a tad confusing ( right around level 7), but it's nothing a little bit of thought won't solve. Also, if you do get stuck, you can always find some tips online.

P.S. I'm not really 12, but ever since I got a new computer I haven't been able to get on to my amazon.com name. I wouldn't reccomend this game for people below 11, unless they are familiar with sismilar RPG's.

All-in-all, this is a game definately worth buying.

breathtaking!

I got this game for a long road trip. which it is great for it sort of long and challenging but still easy to beat it took me about 21 hours to beat. i only got stuck twice. it has beautiful graphics and an awesome storyline. only one minor thing though the giant eyeball is really cheesy with graphics like this couldn't they make something cooler? everyone should have this game. even if there not going on a road trip. if i could give it more stars i would it is totally awesome.

GREAT

Golden Sun is possibly the best GBA game EVER!!! It has incredible graphics,(You can see the characters blink, nod, and shake their heads! Plus, the words shake when they are scared!). It's also got a great plot and you catch on quickly, without a lot of trouble. I urge anyone who has a GBA to get this game as soon as possible! It is PERFECT!!!!!

Start with the review title. Continue to now. Golden Sun, the first of the series, is a smashing primary to the secondary of The Lost Age. It starts off with a bit of drama, the usual. Your dad gets himself killed whilst saving the home village, one of your friends' brothers gets washed away by an out of control stream, magic is used to save the day, and you get your preteen behind whipped by some extremely powerful magician-warriors who knock the stuffing out of you with a flick of their fingernails.
Flashforward a few years. You're a few years older, wiser and much stronger when it pertains to your magical abilities. It's just you and your mother, since your dad...well, you know. Your magic (Known as Psynergy in this game, btw.) teacher convinces you and 2 friends that you should come with him and break into a holy mountain in which the source of all Psynergy is said to lie. This mountain is, of course, off limits to every normal soul. So what are you to do? Sneak past the guards, of course!
When you breach our fair mountain, you are subjected to a series of puzzles and mazes. Take care, because the last one is a doozy. You'll unlock the secret of the mountain and the Elemental Stars ( Don't ya know, the source of Psynergy!!), thereby unleashing a forbidden, extremely strong ancient magic that the world was never to see or it would fall into darkness. You also get your teacher and one of your friends captured by four mysterious magician-warriors, 3 of whom are very familiar...
Not bad for your first thirty minutes, right?
The graphics of this game are extremely cool for the GBA, fluid, 3-D, smooth and all around pretty. The game itself ain't half bad either. You will embark on a long and eventful journey to save your friends and the world. You will have to solve a lot of puzzles, slug through mazes and beat the crap out of bad warriors, woodland creatures gone wrong, manipulated trees and a whole mess of odd looking...things. You will have to employ strategy, as you will have to juggle old fashioned swordplay and magic. Magic makes it a bit more complex, as certain types of magic, such as Fire Psynergy, is weak agains Water Psynergy, but strong against WInd Psynergy. Instead of diving into a battle, sword swinging, you need to think out battle plans and set your team to suit, as the order of your four team members can affect drastically your gameplay.
I could blabber on about the complete and utter coolness of this game, but unfortunately Amazon.com gave me a word limit, and if I go on any longer, I won't shut up.
So, in closing, if you don't have this game, buy it. If you don't have a GBA, or GBASP, buy the system if only for this masterpiece!
And be sure to follow it up with Golden Sun: The Lost Age

The best RPG I've ever played!

I am a gamer, and this is by far my favorite game...until I get the second one ^^ (I wanna play it so bad...) From the graphics and music, to the places they hide things, to the villians, this game is the best. ...Though, while most people say that the Crossbone Isle boss is the most difficult in the game, I dissagree... Anyways, if you're even thinking of getting this game, do it! You won't regret it!

SUPER AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!********

There were two great role playing series released for the GBA. Final Fantasy 1-6 and the two Golden Sun games. Both series hold up very well,
and are quite different. I would actually say that the GS games sported
better graphics, quicker gameplay, and a much longer playing time.
