This game had such wonderful music,it litteraly brought tears to my eyes. The graphics were splendid and the story line had me playing late into th night. However grand the game may be,it might come across overly violent to the more youthful audiences, seeing how the monsters you defeat disintegrate into dust.Besides that,Golden Sun is the best game out there.
I hope my review is helpful! Enjoy!

The battle mode is awsome. I spend most of my time battling to raise my ally's level. The puzzles are very boring and hard.
Very, Very Fun...except

The only thing wrong with this game is all the talking. There are times that you'll just press the "A" button for 10 minutes. About a third of the game is spent in dialouge.
However, if you can get through the talk, it's a great game. A good story that progresses nicely. You won't spend hours trying to figure out some vitale part that's incredibly obscure.
All in all, I give it a B+. I don't know what the developers were thinking with the dialouge.
It's great, just not perfect.

Oh well. Don't get me wrong, Golden Sun is the best portable RPG ever made. The graphics are unlike anything you ever thought you'd see on a portable game (and that's just the first summon you get), the battle system is well-thought out, and the music deserves better speakers than the GBA is equipped with.
However, I don't necessarily call this a 5-star effort. For one thing (massive spoiler ahead), the story isn't complete. The whole game is a massive teaser for the sequel (which is coming out in Japan in June), to put it one way. You get through what is ostensibly half the story, and it ends. Personally I would have rather waited a year or so, then had the entire story at my disposal at the same time. For another thing, it's only around 20 hours long. (For those of you with short attention spans, 40 hours is a good length for an RPG like this one.) Granted, the story isn't finished yet, but you still pay your [price] for the game, regardless of how long it is.
So, let's recap. Golden Sun is a must-buy game. I'm not going to lie to you and say that the flaws in the story make it not worth your while. If I could give 4 1/2 stars to it, I would by all means do so. (Amazon, are you listening?) So don't take it personally...
One of the Best GBA games...Period!

When GBA first came out, I was impressed by the by the new design and look. So, as a Christmas gift, I got a GBA (Pink, it's so pretty) and two games, one of them being Golden Sun. I"m still trying to beat it, but I take a great love from it. It's an addicting, wonderfully planned out game that delievers. The main plot of the game has you play the role of Issac, a young teenager who lives in the mountain town of Vale, along with his best friend Garet. Both have what the game calls "Psynergy", which is that they control an element (either Earth, Wind, Fire or Water) using the power of their mind. Your mission throughout the game is to safely find their friends Kraden and Jenna from two power-hungry enemies known as Saturos and Menardi, who plan to us the Four Element Stars to gain the ultimate power and possible take over the world. Along the way, you make and gain allies Mia and Ivan, also gifted with Psynergy, to help you with your quest. With incredible powers, spells, enemies and puzzles, you will get your money's worth! Plus, the sequel Golden Sun: The Lost Age is just around the corner and continues where you leave off after beating GS! This is where all RPGs should get their influence from! Excellent plot, charcters, game play and graphics will kept Golden Sun in the limelight and drive it to become as infamous as Final Fantasy is for the Playstation and PS2 gaming systems.

I got this game a long time ago and still haven't beaten it. It has never got boring because there is always something new to find. You collect various creatures that help you fight, give you more magic, and up your stats. You play as 4 chacters that i know of Garret, Mia, Ivan, and what ever you name yourself. There is a battle mode to test and see how good you are or fight a friend. There is a very good story line and it is when you were young ( Garret and the main chacter) you were in the middle of an earthquake. Part of your town is destroyed and the only thing that is keeping your town uncrushed is the men and women using their magic to hold the bulders.Your friend Felix gets stuck in a river and dies? Find out.
I've seen better

Ive played tons of RPGs in my life. What makes an RPG good are three things: a good plot, excitement, and freedom. First lets talk about the plot. The plot in Golden Sun wasn't the best. It was obviously for younger kids becuase it was all so set in stone!! I mean, you know the kids are gonna survive. Second, excitement. It certainly didn't lack excitement, but they could have done better. Third of all, freedom. You had no freedom in this game whatsoever. Even in Pokemon you could chose not to get a monster or to abandon it. Don't forget that: you cant make your own character, you can only do the good, you can't do certain things in certain parts of the game (I actually couldn't finish the game because I got to the end too fast). Then they tried to fake choosing character classes by having the stupid (no offense) Dijin thingys "change" your class (really just changing like two spells). Although this game has good graphics, I would skip it if I were you.
Golden Sun, is it worth it

This game is ok but it's some part's of the game that don't make sense. And at some part's in the game you won't know what to do. but if you like adventure game you sould get it. If you don't want to have to go all the way to a village from a cave. DON'T I repeat DON'T buy this game
