Time to Turn it Up to 11 on the 360

The smash hit Guitar Hero finally makes its way to the 360 and it is easily the best in the series so far. Features include all the songs from the PS2 verion plus 10 exclusive songs, downloadable content, acheievements & online leaderboards.

I already own the PS2 version, but the thought of playing in HD with online leaderboards was more than enough to make me purchase GHII again. However, the first one I bought was defective. The game ran slowly and stuttered, and the whammy bar on the guitar was completely jacked. Returned it for another and it works perfectly fine now.

Nothing beats playing Guitar Hero II with your friends and a case of your favorite beverage. It is truly the ultimate party game that everyone can enjoy!

Everyone can rock at this game!

Up until my recent purchase of Guitar Hero II for XBox 360 it had been about 18 years since I had played a video game (the orginal Nintendo, I loved Excitabike). We recently purchased my son a XBox 360 for his birthday. I had heard a lot of good things about this game and I thought that this would be fun for him to play so we got this for him too. A month and half later, my son and I are both addicted! He had to start out on the practice level, with the song on the slowest setting, and he was initially very frustrated. After a few days of practice, he is rocking along on the Easy level. My sister and I both particularly uncooridinated and she's able to play the Easy level and I am almost through Medium. SO - If two uncoordinated non-gaming ladies and a six year old can rock, THEN ANYONE CAN! Buy this game NOW!

You need to buy this game. There is hours and hours of fun in this game, and if you go and buy another guitar, you can battle your friends for even more hours of endless fun. This is a must buy and every gamer should have this in their collection.

I'm a lefty but I've learned to adapt and for me, it's just as easy. This is a great and fantastic game. I first played it in my six grade math class, and I was the class champion, then i thought that it was only available for the PS2, but then I bought it for the 360 and I fell in love with it! I didn't like rock or heavy metal before this game(My dad is in a band), now I have about five of these songs on my Ipod.

If you dont buy this game, you'll make the biggest mistake of your life.

GO GUITaR HERO!!!!!

i first played this game when it was only out on PS2 and then considered bying a PS2 just to play the game. when i heard it was comming out on the 36 i rushed to pre-order it. the graphics are incredible, the songs are awsome, and it is not a game you can just fly through in a week. i first beat the game on medium, then hard, and just recently beat every song on expert unlocking the battle ax guitar. this game gets me to the point where i will have parties just to play this game with all my friends. i strongly reccomend getting two guitars because the multi-player feature in great and many acheivments can not be unlocked unless you have two people. if you cant get two guitaras you can use a regular xbox 360 controller but it is much harder and not nearly as fun. by the way... my name is Derek Donahou not eden, shes my mom and i used her account to reveiw this. thats just how amazing this game is!

I got this for my 14 year old as a birthday present. We have had so much fun with it! As a 40 year old mom, I don't tend to play any video or computer games, but it looked like so much fun that I had to try it. I created my own character and am working my way through the songs. As a hint, if you get this game, you need to get Guitar Hero 3. It has a co-op mode so 2 people can play together on each song. Lots of fun for the entire family! Rock on!

Save $90 and give it to someone who can make a quality product.

First of all, let me state that I love Guitar Hero games. There's no need to go on a rant about how much fun this game is, because there are plenty of reviews praising the game. It's brilliant, fun and outrageously addictive.

For some reason I decided to buy an XBox 360. I have no idea why plunging into that money pit ever looked appealing, but that's neither here nor there. The point is that my PS2 died before I ever got the chance to purchase the Guitar Hero games on that platform, and I felt like a kid at Christmas when a giant box containing Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 was sitting in front of my door when I got home from work a few days ago.

My complaint is that I've only had the game for a week, and the Xplorer controller is basically useless already. The buttons stick once in a while, but that's not the worst part. The worst part is that sometimes, even though the fretboard on screen indicates that a button is being pressed, it doesn't actually register in the game. I'd probably have better luck nailing solos if I jammed the jack of my real guitar into the 360's USB port. I wouldn't be so critical if I thought maybe I've just had the unfortunately luck of receiving a faulty controller, but this seems to be a common problem.

This is intensely irritating. Don't they test these things before throwing them in a box and shipping them out for people to spend $90?

No Left-handed controllers?

This is a great game, however the lack of a left handed controller really stings. Wasn't so much of a problem on the PS2 version as a Gibson SG is realatively symetrical, but playing a Gibson Explorer upside down is down right ridiculous.

To add insult to injury, Guitar Hero II actually has a left handed guitarist playing a lefty Les Paul on the front cover of the box. Great way to alienate 15% of your target audience.

In the very least, they could've made the volume controls and whammy bar detachable and reconfigurable for either a right or left handed guitarist. Or why not make 15% of the production line dedicated to lefty guitars?

I have the money to spend and want to play this game.

Lousy design. Am really offended by this product.

THIS is AWESOME!

guitar hero 2 is the most awesome game you can get for 2007. I've played it on PS2 and on Xbox360. The Xbox360 version is much better. There's new songs on Xbox360 also. So, if you're thinking of buying this item then you should get it.

Awesome

This game is really good. I have played both the PS2 version and the 360 version, and they are basically the same game, except the 360 has 10 new songs, an awesome x-plorer controller, and downloadable content. So basically if you have it for PS2 skip it on the 360 but if you have a 360 and a PS2, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up on the 360.
