Awesome graphics, lot's of fun too

I won't bother going real in depth, there are other sources for that (gamespot, ign, etc.). I just have to agree with most people in saying this game has some of the most beautiful graphics ever seen on a console game. The water seriously looks photorealistic. An HDTV is a must, partly because it's the only thing that could possibly do this game justice, and partly because the text on the screen is too finely detailed to be readable on a normal screen. I have a Samsung 32" 720p, got it from Amazon for $750 with free shipping. Highly recommended.

Solid Game play and story

This is the first game that I bought for the PS3. I agonized between this and Heavenly Sword, but thought that I might be able to swing this by my wife, where I knew a sword wielding babe with barely clad Bazongas just wasn't going to fly, even if she said "it's fine, really..."

The play is fairly straight forward: you essentially play a male Laura Croft. Fast and loose, but with his own moral code, you leap and jump and climb and shoot. As you progress, so does the level of the enemy, but it never felt too bad (except for when you fight the fast moving screaming zombie creatures, and realize what a terrible weapon a WWII era sub-machine gun is).

This game is very fun. I wish it were longer, story is amazing. This shooter stand out from the rest.

Let me start off by saying that I only own a handful of PS3 games & that I am a very 'occassional' gamer and don't go online or play daily or anything like that. With that being said , I am surprised how many glowing reviews this game gets from everyone for the sheer fact that it is really not that hard. I've spent hours on levels in God of War, Prince of persia, Assassins creed due to the difficulty. With this game I was rarely stumped and kinda disappointed when the only two puzzle parts of the game are SO hard to see the graphic images you should match up due to the images small size. Minor factors though - the gameplay is lots of fun , graphics are great and story line is fun albeit very short playtime. I think it's great for people like me who want a game to play easily after periods of non-playing and you don't have to remember every combo,etc. I found 50 out of the 60 treasures so that was fun. the only reason i don't give it 5 stars is that it was almost too easy. After playing on the hard level (after Normal) i solved the game again in less than 10 hrs. Great music and visuals though.

This was a random Christmas gift given to me. I really wanted COD4, Assassin's Creed, and Rock Band, and just kinda threw Uncharted to the way said. After I finished COD4 (AMAZING GAME), was able to take a break from rock band, and got bored of Assassin's Creed, I put this in when I had some free time, and am I glad I did. It's simply astounding what these developers have created here. I would put it near the top of my favorite games ever list.

Pros:

I have NEVER seen a prettier game. Graphics are unmistakably the best I have ever seen.

Incredible Sound

Immersive story that is told in style. Great Cinematics.

EXPLOSIONS! Yes, it gets its own point because I have never seen smoke look so real in a video game.

Great Pace and Perfect Length.

The Setting

Cons:

Um, you could may be complain about the controls not doing what you want them to do ever now and then, but it doesn't detract from the game at all (especially due to the fact that there are MANY checkpoints).

Do yourself a favor, but a PS3, and buy Uncharted.

I haven't written too many reviews, but I just had to comment on this amazing game. Let me preface it by saying I am an old school gamer (since the Atari 2600 days), and I am VERY picky about what I like. There's just a lot of games that don't do it for me. I mostly play sports games, but also like 3rd person adventures/shooters. Until I played Drake's Fortune, I always said the best game ever in my opinion was Resident Evil 4. I had that for the Gamecube, and it blew me away. I've half heartedly compared every game to Resident Evil 4, and nothing had compared to me.......until Uncharted. As I'm sure you've read elsewhere, the graphics make you pause the game and look around like "WOW", it has a very good story, and is very easy to control. The most important thing to me however, and what I think we look for in all of our games, is it's FUN! The game is just SO much fun, from constantly shooting the increasingly more intelligent enemies, to exploring the incredible places that Drake goes. Riding the jetski's while shooting enemies is fun, swinging from vines up high is fun, and again, finding ways to shoot all of the enemies at times can be a nice,rewarding challenge.
So many people have already bought this game, but if you haven't yet, I couldn't recommend it enough. It has become my single favorite game ever, and I can't wait until Uncharted II comes up, as it's already in the works.

Beautiful graphics, excellent gameplay, what more can you ask for? This game is like a cross between, resident evil, and tomb raider. One of the best games on PS3. Assassin's creed doesn't come close to the gameplay value on this game, but the graphics are awesome. When he goes in the water, he comes out looking wet. It looks really cool!!! Anyone would love this game. Don't rent this, BUY IT!!!!!!! It's a must have for PS3!!! If anyone rates this below a 4 star rating than they must be crazy!!!

Uncharted is awesome and I can't wait for a sequel. I've only played it through once so far, but will do so several more times I'm sure. My wife was even entertained just watching me play!

This game has a very good plot--it's like you're playing through a movie--the "cut-scenes" are so seamless with the game that you've not sure where they end and the gameplay continues. There is a good mix of puzzles, shooting, and other adventure activities (the Seadoo was awesome!). The dialog was actually good and funny. Of course the graphics are great. Perhaps not quite as good as Call of Duty 4 or Assassin's Creed, but certianly at that level of quality (I find it to be a much better game than Assassin's Creed).

One of my favorite things about the game is that the AI for the badguys is REALLY good! They actually use real combat tactics on you--if you stay in one spot, they'll flank you! They coordinate attacks and really gang up on you. I think it's one of the best enemy AI systems that I've played (MUCH smarter badguys than Assassin's Creed or Halo 3, or even Call of Duty 4 or Gears of War). This makes each fight unique and fun.

Download the demo on PSN and see what you think. The demo doesn't really give you a taste of the story, but it does show you some of the combat. I think the gameplay is really great for a 3rd person shooter. I think it's very challenging on "hard" difficulty, but I'm not an extremely hardcore gamer.

There are far too many great things about UNCHARTED to bother reading any negative reviews.

Had this been a film, we would see fans demand a sequel within two years. But it's even better. It's a game. And we should demand a sequel within two years.

The story is so good, and the gameplay is fantastic. I have been playing this over and over, increasing the difficulty, unlocking the treasures and secrets, and it gets better every time. The characters really drive this experience.

Indiana Jones is coming back for one more movie, to show young adventurers and lovers of Tomb Raider and National Treasure who the original treasure RAIDER is. We needed to see Dr. Jones one more time to prove what a real adventure is all about.

We needed Nathan Drake to show the world of video games what a real adventure is all about.
