I got this for my nephew for Christmas! He loves it! I love it, his friends love it, my friends love it. If you love music or just like a challenge---this is the game!
You need a Hero.

This game is awesome! Want to feel like a real rock star? Get it! The only problem is that I am having a hard time typing this, as my hand is sore from playing too much Guitar Hero.
Addicting Game

The first time I picked up the guitar, I couldn't put it down. Hours of fun trying to score higher and hit the hard notes. Would highly recommend it but plan on spending time in front of the TV playing it for hours.
Still Great Fun but doesn't have as many AWESOME songs as the original

The good:
-more challenging XD
-if you're stuck on a hard song you can go into "practice mode" and practice sections of the song at a slower speed
-introduces new 2-player modes including "pro faceoff" where both players play EXACTLY the same notes, and "cooperative" where each player can select their own difficulty settings (i.e. one plays easy, and the other plays expert)
-"Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns n' Roses, "Killing in the name" by Rage against the machine, "Heart-Shaped Box" by Nirvana, "Carry on Wayward Son" by Kansas, and of course "Freebird" are probably some of the BEST SONGS to ever grace Guitar Hero =]
The bad:
-There are some good songs and a few great ones, but a lot of the songs near the mid-end before the final ones don't seem all that famous or memorable in my opinion.
-They finally have Aerosmith, except I never heard of the song "last child"?? Why couldn't they have gotten Angel, Dream On, or something more DEFINITIVE of Aerosmith gosh...
-No Franz Ferdinand or Chili Peppers =(
-I really wanted to play "Dance Dance" by Fall Out Boy. Guess my hopes for GH2 were just too high =X
It's still TONS OF FUN, but I was slightly disappointed on the songs this time around due to my own high expectations. Hopefully GH3 will let you program your own songs =P

I really enjoy playing this game, and I am better than my big sister at it. :) All of my friends want to come over and play it. Guitar Hero II is a really fun game that has great new features compared to Guitar Hero I. Guitar Hero II is the best game ever, and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that loves to have a great time.

My son really likes this game, but the whole family would get more use out of it if there were a bigger variety of songs.
Good Game, but,,,,,

First of all, this is a wonderful game, awesome tracks, awesome guitars, awesome venues, and awesome characters. The only thing this game needs is a soundtrack picked by the people, not by harmonix, because frankly i think i could live without, "Them Bones" or "Search and Destroy". If your new to the series or a returning hero, i suggest buyibg the game.
Very fun game to play.

This game is so much fun and it can be set to different levels for younger kids to play it as well as adults.
