Solid Story

Very epic story and plot twists that make you jump up and scream, "what?!?!?!" Enjoyed it very much. So much that as soon as I finished it I created a new character and started over again...

Mass Effect - Not Bad At All

Mass effect lived up to the hype without a doubt. Not only does it deliver a creative storyline, it also allows the gamer to take the story where they want it to go based on decisions and key events during the game. The best part is the fact that the gamer gets to detail their character, literally, down to the very scars on their faces and the shapes of their faces. Naturally, they also have a wide variety of classes & skills to choose from. It's basically like Starcon II meets Final Fantasy. I really enjoyed the "free space" aspect that allowed me to deviate as much as I wanted from the main mission and explore other planets and stumble across side missions. I've already played and beaten this game once, and have already started playing it again. Very worth the purchase!

First let me just say that this game is fun, but don't build it up in your mind while waiting for it in the mail. I waited for this game for three weeks (truck strike here in italy), the whole time I would listen to people who owned the game say how much fun it was to play. Naturally, I was building up this mental picture of how this game was going to blow me away. I was wrong, but that might be my own fault. Also, I only have a standard def TV. Maybe that's the reason for this, but I didn't think the grafics were all that great for a next gen game. Bioshock, Halo or Gears owns in that category.

Way Better than...

This game is just like Lord of the Sith games I and II, but way better. I know that there a die hard Star Wars Fans out there but just give this game a try. You don't know what you are missing if you don't.

Could have been so much better

HIGHLIGHTS:
-The Third person combat is flawed
-Very Slow
-Incredibly inaccurate aiming with rifles

Like most I wanted to like this game, and wanted it to be very immersive and entertaining. After about 15 hours of game play I found myself simply playing becaue i wanted to like it, but couldn't quite get there.
What i found the most disappointing was the fact that i picked the sniper pistol class and found myself unable to get more than One shot off and actually hitting with a sniper rifle without getting myself killed. Even using the pistol was a challenge simply because of the difficult camera/cover dynamic. My squad members don't help either, they die almost instantly.
The other 85% of the game consists of you walking from one relaying a long conversation and walking back to another place just to tell the other NPC what was said. This was an entirely dull experience for me (only redeeming value being the scenery).

So if you like Fable, Oblivion, Jade Empire, and other more action RPG's I strongly suggest you ether avoid this game or rent it/borrow it.

I'm now selling it while i can, it's looking grim and the aiming/gameplay/fun level isn't helping.

I'm glad there is always Lost Planet or Halo online to fall back on to

One of the best games I've played since Oblivion

First of all I got to say great game the RPG elements make it worth while. The character customization is fairly good you don't get near enough options like Elder scrolls ,but you can tolerate it. The allies you get are cool I like both Ashley Willams and Wrex ,but their all cool they have their own story as well. The combat is cool changing guns in battle is one of the best things about the combat and of course the skill system is cool giving yourself some biotic powers and such. The Sci fi scene is cool for people who love Star Wars and Star Trek. All and All awesome game you will spend hours exploring galaxies and planets.

A MUST BUY!

This is as a superb RPG for the 360 where for once the storyine is every bit as good as the graphics! There are huge areas to explore and it will take you some time to complete so it's really worth the asking price. If you like RPG then you MUST get this game. 10/10

Great game--took me about 25 hrs to complete. You will enjoy this game if you enjoyed KOTOR on Xbox. This game does have it's flaws: the side missions become very repetitive, vehicle combat is terrible, and the game suffers dramatically from framerate issues at times. While it was a great game, you can't help but feel this game was rushed and could have used a bit more development time to iron out the kinks.

Most games I play I get Bored and Don't play all the way through. This game is NOT one of them. I great 3rd person shooter with some rpg elements. I was not a fan of biowares star wars knight of the old republic but this game had a appeal. (discover planets, not star wars) the only complaints about this game is half the planets you "discover" you can't land on them and explore, you just survey. Also i wish there was another way to do your abilties than hit the bumper and stop the action. other than that it is a awesome game, it's got great replay value. nudity, I see worst sex scenes primetime tv so big deal. I wish you had more choices for your lovers. Also I play this game and not my kids. chacthers are cool expect the the two women that are your two lover choices Ashley who is up tight and Liara is to over reaching, why can't Tali be a choice shes self sufficient, modest, and self-less. ah.. oh well. the gameplay is great, I use to love those choose your adventure books as a kid and this is what this game reminds me of a little. The story is good except the council makes you mad but what politician doesn't. I hope sequels are as good when they come out I just for new races and abilties.

Just for the record, I don't have an account, so I borrowed this one.

This game is loads of fun. I like the idea of choosing your character's appearence, dialogue, and backround. The combat controls are great, except the Mako takes time to get used to. However, this game has only 6 main levels. There are side missions, but they're not much trouble. I beat this game in a week. While I do think this game is really fun and detailed, I only recomend renting it.
