Medieval II Total War is fun!

This is a fun strategy game. The battles are pretty cool looking, but you have to use your head if you want to win! Don't try to buy it if you don't have a dvd rom though!

Great, no fantastic game

I write this review to tell the world that this is one the best games in the world. There are lots of people who say that it takes up too much space and blah, blah, blah. Hopeless. If it takes up too much space than uninstall a few things. Some people are really sad. Anyway, back to the game. It has great graphics and the battles can support up to a few thousand units. The new gunpowder units are the BEST!!!!!!! My personal favorite is the Portugese arquebuiser. The best gunpowder unit in the game. This game is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game is o.k.

I bought this game for my birthday and i was really happy till
i played it. In the trailers you see awsome graphics ,but i say
unto you it is not that great when you play it on your own computer.
In my high performance computer, the game gets really slow when you play
battles. However, you can update your graphics ( i think). Other than graphics, gamplay is really cool. Sound..... in my perspective Rome's
music is way better than Mideival 2. If i was a new newcomer in the
series... I WOULD GET ROME TOTAL WAR INSTEAD because wasting 40$ is not
worth following the popes's command and his ambition. This game has a lot of good stuf too,but it would be 2 pages long. Over all this game is a
must have for a total war fan.

Space Cadet........... OUT!

This game operates along the same lines as Rome: Total War, but is set between c. 1000 and 1500.

I give it only three stars because it drags horribly, especially if you don't have a very new and high performance computer-which I do not. It takes mine literally one to two and half minutes for a turn to end, at it takes up to fifteen minutes for campaign map battles to load. It is for this reason that I hardly ever play campaigns.

If it wasn't for the custom battles, I would have considered this a total waste of money. I have had a heck of a lot of fun with the custom battles though; pitting huge armies with such diverse composition as Norman knights, Egyptian ghazis,Italian spear phalanxes, and Scots highlanders against one another. And the graphics are excellent. The appearance of the individual warriors I also think are slightly more historically accurate than in the Rome games, which were pretty good themselves. Only the Scots highlanders are really stereotyped. Another nice detail the battles capture that is not to be seen in the Rome games is that each warrior is slightly different all the way down to their faces and hair colors.

The campaign is hardly worth playing just because of how laboriously slow it can be, but it is hugely fun to recreate (or rewrite) European and Middle Eastern history with the custom battles. This is just my two cents, many may disagree.

Medieval II Total War : Totally Impossible

Complex, long play time, fantastic graphics.

Far too hard to complete, I hope they come out with a patch or an expansion pack that makes this game easier to win. (It's all about money of course)
I have purchased and played every single Total War game they have, and this one is impossible to win without cheating. Very disappointing.

This game was awesome and the only bad thing sometimes is you have to spend long time on this game to make it fun, lol.

I bought this game and played it for 2 months. For these few months I had a great time. The gameplay is very good, and the AI poses a real challenge if played in the right mode. The downside to this game is that every battle seems to go the same way. This does eventually get pretty boring. It's a pretty great game, and maybe the expansion will address some of the problems. I'd recommend it, but it could be much improved upon.
