Tak is great!!

I just bought Tak for my son and he loves it. We watch a lot of Nickelodeon and he has been seeing all the TV ads and bugging Daddy to buy that game for him. So when I bought it, I watched him play it a little. I even found it entertaining! While he loves just playing the game and telling me how good the graphics are, I love watching the characters interact. It is very funny! I recommend it for all kids and parents looking to buy a cool game for the holidays.

Purchased this game for my son (Age 12), he got bored and frustrated within a few hours. I tried to give it a play and pretty much had the same experience. While not completely awful it certainly was nothing special. My biggest complaint is the game is just too slow. The character control could have been better and the camera logic needed some work - my son got motion sickness. While some people seem to really enjoy the non traditional characterization, I found the characters to be visually weird and the voice over to be somewhat poorly conceived. Tak mumbles a lot and seems to have a slight English accent, which is somewhat bizarre for a native.

I don't recommend this game, if you are interested in it you should rent before you buy.

this game starts out fun but they make you do alot of stuff at once. they try to be really funny and make monkeys and stuff throw stuff at each other it is not worth it.

some difficult controls for little ones

This is a very beautiful platformer with some interesting challenges and puzzles, and definitely entertaining action. My one complain so far, and I haven't gotten all that far into the game, is that the throwing interface is difficult to get the hang of, and I'm 32. I could see this really frustrating a little kid. My son won't even play it yet but he does enjoy watching, and numerous parts of it make him laugh, which when it all boils down, makes this game worth every penny of the $40 I paid for it. Just be prepared to help little ones get the hang of it.

Tak and the Power of JuJu is the most violent game ever. I bought this game for my son. I thought it would be fun and unviolent but I was wrong. I dont belive in violence. My son who watched a violent PG-13 movie got scared and started punching the new TV. The next day I woke up and was to return the game but I couldnt find it. When I went outside I saw a burned Tak and the Power of JuJu case and disc. Later I found out that he saw a tiger that ate Tak. I thought that was very violent. Please dont buy this game for your kids.

This game is really fun. My mom made me wait till last month to get it, till the price came down. I love how funny it is and that you can ride the animals. The jujus are funny and i love the cartoons in between. Overall, this is my second favorite game.

Terrible - slow collect fest

Warning this game will make your hands stink. Hunk of garbage - don't be duped. Basic premise, wait, wait some more collect something so you can collect something else, which allows you to wait then collect more, which opens up the possibility to you guessed it collect something else. This game is about as much fun as 52 card pick up.

Tak and the Power of Juju

I recently bought this game and as a platform lover this is the tops. Move over Jak 2. This game was great for any age. The gameplay is conventional but the art is outstanding. Tak is a shaman apprentice who tries to defeat the evil Talaloc. No wonder Nickelodeon is going to make this game into a cartoon. The environments in this game are wonderful. There are several innovative game play techniques in Tak. I think that THQ hit the target with this one. The different puzzles are exciting and challenging. I highly recommend this game to gamelovers.
