As soon I as saw the previews of this game i knew this was gooing to be a hit. Rockstar made this game so iknow its good they made GTA3 and Max Panye. I Can't wait until this game comes out.

I doubt a game that's been sitting on the shelves at Blockbuster for a year with a $6.99 price tag on it could be any good. It's supposed to get boring quick.

Alright Alright we all know that this isnt as good as grand theft auto 3 but its still good rockstar did there best they thought that we would like there game its not there fault
i bet when they first came out with GTA3 they didnt know it was going to be a success just give rockstar a good chance this game isnt that bad you can cause [heck] through 4 pretty long kinda short levels and if your complaining because you dont have enough ammo get cheats for the game overall The mall chinatown and all 4 of the levels our amazing with outstanding graphics and more this is a must buy to put in your PS2 collection

This game is one of the funniest and most enjoyable game I've played on PS2 (even though I'm slightly new in the PS2 world). Besides Grand Theft Auto 3 and Devil May Cry, State of Emergency is the only game I have so far. Now, for the pros and cons:

PROS- cartoonish/realistic violence, alot of blod and gore (more then GTA3), alot of weapons, nice colorful graphics, beat a whole horde of ATO guards and gangs coming at you easily (sometimes!), easy controls (it took me 10 seconds to master them), nice cheat codes (hehe), to playable modes "Revolution" and "Chaos", if guards see you with a weapon, they're after you, rivalling gangs fight each other and sometimes with the guards and by having 4 maps you have to unlock brings the determination to finish mission.

CONS- Maps are way too small (they're tiny!), no innocents fight back even if you bash and punch them (like in GTA3), guards only look for YOU and do not hunt and kill rioters or innocents (the Corporation guards are supposed to be evil, aren't they?), camera system frustrating, sometimes you don't hit your target in close combat and it wastes time, the game gets too repeatative and it gets boring FAST and the AI is not to good in the game, and the game is uninspired.

Anyway, I do believe this game deserves a 5, because its a nice and good game with alot of violence and killing. But unfortunately the killing is only done by you 95% of the time, and the rioters don't do much but run around like idiots. The way I see it, they are the prey for killing, and its fun to hack and slash them and more fun against a horde of enemies. The axe could slice heads off at once if the enemies stand next to eachother... So as you may already know, its not for kids (at least not under the age of 11 in my opinion). But I recommend this game, and it deserves a chance to played by everyone.

OK listen people. I don't know if you've realized this, but this is the type of game Rockstar is all about, and if you guys don't like it than don't play it. It looks like an awesome game and am planning to buy it. Rockstar gaming has come out with the best games and has been knocked down because they are "violent and provoke bad behaviour," well I have an idea... look out the window. These games are about real life, and if you are only playing video games cause you can't handle real life don't play these types of games. Personally I support riot if it is necessary, I mean look at the Revolutionary War. I bet like hell that looked like a really big riot to England. History is written by the winners so there is no unbiased veiw on these types of events. Then again, its just a game. Play on, peace out.

wha wha whaa.... i saz whazzx up my gta3 fans. ye yet ye yeaht yeah..... i think rockstar made another good game like gta3. i will buy this gqame if its the last thing i do
i will push all them stupid people. and untill i have the state of emergency in my very OWN HANDS hahhahdhehhehah... i will play the whaaaaaaaa. out of it. ( thats if its good) if its not i will take it back and throw in the cashier face. and rob it. hahahhahah

this game is just like or even better then the top sellin game grand theft auto 3 for ps2 i highly ecommend this game to kids 13 or older due to violence and bad influence yet still a very fun game

From what I have read about this game it seems great. However, the only place I have seen anything about this is in one magazine which did not tell much and brief discriptions on the internet. I would like to know more about it before it comes out. One more thing, I would like to know these people that reviewed this game and claim to have played it. It is not out till the 18th so these people are probably have no idea what they are talking about

I have been waiting for this game for a while and already preordered it off amazon. I cant wait. I played the demo and thought it was amazing. Anyone who liked gta3 will love this. I cant wait any longer!!!! Metalgear 2 and dragonballz rock!!!!!
