It is a good game you kill droids, use viechles, kill droids, fly in an x-wing, kill the empire, kill more droids and get some jedi along the way (and kill more droids). The campaign is good and you can be good and bad wich is fun. It also has a good conquer the galaxy mode where you can have more space battles than ever!!! You can compare it to the old game and say "You don't compare mate." Then you put the old one in the carboot sale round the corner. Just buy the game and you will see...

Star wars battlefornt 2 is truly an awesome game. There is so much new stuff!with new characters avaialbe jedi/sith guys + heroes like boba fett and chewbacca, and new planets. although they have new maps, they got rid of all of the old ones, except the ones i didnt like. but i think that is for the better. Some of the new characters are ..... dark trooprer with lightning bolt stuff, imp officer, the magna gaurd, bothan spies w/ incenerators, and clone commanders. also the space is SO coolio. u get in a starfighter/bomber and bomb their critical systems OR land in their hanger (if u get transport vehicles they r mobile comman posts)and get out and use your expolsives to blow them systems up.AWESOME! IF U DONT HAVE IT NOW DRIVE 110 MPH TO THE STORE AND GET IT! WHAT R U DOING JUST SITTING HERE? GO AND GET THE BEST GAME OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!

I'll not take up too much time and space here. BF2 is not a bad game, it's similar to the first, but a little more fun stuff. But where it makes a huge mistake is within the space scenarios. There is no rebel-assault on the death star. It seems to obvious to have that, that I assumed it was there. It isn't. You get to pilot the a-wing, x-wing, and that other rebel ship, so the deathstar assault seems obvious.

No doubt a BF3 will come out to fix that, thus raking-in just a few more zillions for Lucas.

4/5 stars, not bad at all, but could have been just a tad better

Battlefront 2 is way better then the frist one and I mean a whole lot better.Thare is way more to do you can play as more troops and even jedi thare are new weapons to use and even a storymode whare you play levels from a clones story of how the empire took over the clone army.The graphics are just great they look like they were PS3 grpahics.The game does get hard at times and anoying espiclly in space battles becuse you can't use jedi and you can only play has a raglure troop or a piloit.Also if you have a PSP but not a PS2 you can play it on thare too the PSP version is the same as this one but just on a smaller screen it's also for computer but you need alot of systeam requirements.Any fan of starwars should get the game now!

This is a great game!

Better than Star Wars Battlefront 1, the AIs are way smarter and actually know that they should dodge thermal detonators

Also great was the re-made maps in Battlefront 1 like Hoth and Geonosis

Bad point was that it lacked many of the old Battlefront 1 maps like rhen var and the Bespin platforms, but it had new maps nevertheless

The jedi and space battle features are great too, but the jedi seem to be less superior than the infantry since they're pretty easy to kill with a mine...

Star Wars Battlefront meets it's match

Star Wars Battlefront was the best selling Star Wars game in 2004. But now it meets it's match. The sequel, Star Wars Battlefront 2, is well on it's way to becoming the best Star Wars game of 2005-06.

THER GOOD:
1. Space combat is now avaliable. It allows players to play as the fleets of the Republic, CIS, Rebel Alliance, and the Galatic Empire.

2. Playable Jedi/Heroes. This is a cool new feature. It allows players to play as their favorite Jedi/Hero from the movies. For example you can play as Anakin, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Han Solo, Boba and Jango Fett, Darth Vader, the Emporer, Leia, Darth Maul, and the list goes on.

3. All new maps. New maps such as Felucia, Mustafar, Utapau, Coruscant, Mygeeto, and other planets from Episode 3. And even a few from episodes 1, 2, 4, and 5. The older planets such as Hoth, and Yavin 4 have been changed into bigger maps.

4. All new squad command and HUD. The squad command has been passed on to Battlefront 2. Now you can press the up button while the targeting reticule is on an allied soldier and he will go into formation with you.

5. Medals. The medals are another addition to Battlefront 2. The medals are givin by doing specific tasks. Some examples are the Demolition medal and the War Hero medal. The Demolition medal is awarded to a soldier that scores 4 critical hits with a rocket launcher on a vehicle. The War Hero medal is awarded to a soldier who scores 24 points on ther battlefield in one life. Once you obtain legendary status on a medal, the affect the medal gives will be permanent. And you can get a promotion with enough medals.

There is only one hitch. The graphics in the space battles aren't exactly the best they could be. But overall this is probably on it's way to being the best selling Star Wars game of 2005/06. By the way don't listen to the people who say this is rated only one star. They just can't play the game very well.

This is sequel to the best Star Wars game EVER!!!!! It has all new ways to play space, Jedi knights, and all new units in your army. Its new Galactic Conquest is a great new improvement you have to make your army. You have to make fleets and move sort of like a board game and earn credits to buy units and upgrades. You also get to play on ROTS planets like Mustafar, Mygeeto, and Coruscant. The space battles are so cool get off your ship fly to the enemy capital ship and blow it up!!! The space battle ships go from starfighters to bombers each for a specific use. The Jedi have special powers like forcw choce, lightning, push, pull, and even throw your light saber. The best Instant Action level is Mos Eisley you play as Heros or Villians but i won't give away the team who usually wins. Well i've said way too much Battlefront II is a MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh sorry got carried away .Buy it i didn't write this review for nothing.

Not as "classy" as the first...

I will definitely be in the minority with this review. Being a child of the 80's and a Star Wars nerd since the age of 4, I am a bit of a purist. The great thing about the original Battlefront was that it was truly inline with the feel of the movies. Star Wars has always been able to capture heroism and valor in its action. The original Battlefront was inline with that. Playing it gave thirtysomething geeks like me a trip down memory lane. I actually bought a Playstation II just to play the game. The developers did a great job of capturing a demographic of 10-35 year olds.

Battlefront II is more violent (only thing missing is blood) and does not track with the classiness of the Star Wars series. All the chatter of both sides gets annoying quickly. The players fight more dirty. When I play it, I feel like I am playing any other shooter game. It could be Doom or Resident Evil or whatever. It appears that the developers went after the 10-18 year olds this time.

Sure, the maps, players, and features are all faster, bigger, and better. It is kinda neat to play the Death Star map and fly a Y-Wing fighter in space.

Bottom, line, Battlefront II completely misses the essence, soul, character, integrity, and honor that George Lucas has always tried to capture in the Star Wars franchise.

Say hi to your new favorite game!!!!!!!!!

This game has awesome new graphics and battle modes. You can even be jedi knights.the space battle is a great new way to play.I gurantee you will love this game.

this game is absoloutely wiked i just want to play it all day sometimes i get annoyed with it and i throw my control (its wireless) at my tv i have had to have 3 new tvs because of thisi think you should all buy this game as it is out of this world. i love being the jet troppers as they can woop ass with there gun they blow peoples headss off and make masses of blood all come out of the enemys heads and i once blew this guy out of the screen with a heavy gun. i would not recomend this game to any1 under the age of 14! go buy this game now!!!
