Star Wars Battlefront is perfect for my child! He gets to play in his favorite movie battles and he can be the empire.Most games don't let you be on the bad side. This is incredible.

I love this game. The negitive reviews are mostly silly and not justified. This is exactly the Star Wars game I've been waiting for and I love it! Get in all the vehicles and shoot all the weapons, from ALL the movies! Sign me up for Jedi class, I'm ready. Exactly what I expected and a lot of fun!

Four stars (or better) is actually what I'm hoping this game will get considering it hasn't come out yet. This game has the potential to be the best Star Wars game ever. That is, if you don't care too much about Jedi. Basically, this game is like Battlefield 1942 for the PC. You get to fight in all the great battles from all six movies. That's right, I said six movies. This means not only will you get to play as the rebels and the imperials, but you get to play as the republic and the sepratists too! The will also feature at least one planet from Episode III! There are a total of ten planets to battle on and sixteen different maps meaning that some planets will have more than one map. As a soldier for one of the four armies, you'll have five different types of soldiers to choose from. You'll have the regular infantry, the vehicle killers, the pilots, the snipers, and a special type. There should be a total of twenty different weapons. The planets I'm 100% sure will be featured are: Hoth, Tatoonie, Naboo, Endor, Yavin IV, Cloud City, Kamino, and Geonosis. The part I'm most excited about is not the battle on foot but the battle on vehicles. There will be about thirty different vehicles to take down enemies with. While you are on Hoth, you can get a buddy (AI or human player) and go lasso some AT-ATs. I can't wait for Star Wars Battlefront to come out.

The gameplay of this game is lots of fun but don't buy it for the online aspect. The GameSpy system does not work as well as the system used for SOCOM2. The biggest problem is finding a game to join. I use a PSX2 connecting to the internet with a broadband cable connection but it's difficult to find matching players and I always lag out of the game. I'm also blocked from joining PC games which seem to have high average ping ratings. If LucasArts can come up with a patch that makes the online play system match that of SOCOM2 then this game would deserve an easy five star rating.

What really amazed me in this game is that there was incredible detail and also you can command soilders to cover you, protect you and more..!there are about ten misions, but don't what i said once you finish the ten misions you can go to conquest mode where there are jedis, in each mission. you can ride many planes, motors and much more you can ride on, so what i mean is that every single working plane ship what ever is yours. tere are about 200 vs. 200 in the game, play on multiplayer or play online. you sould get this game is mad fun to play. ohh and also one more thing don't listen to the people who rated this game 1,2,or 3 because they have no life.

This just might be the best star wars game I have ever played. Instead of all the other games where you're the rebel alliance taking down the empire, this time you can choose to be the dark side. After you pick your side, you can choose from different units to be. Once you're on the battlefield you can pilot any vehicle and freely travel across the battlefield. Even the graphics to this game are great.

I see a lot of negative reviews for this game but the truth is that this is a great two player game. My little brother and I can play this game for hours at a time without getting bored. I am 25 and he is 13, we enjoy getting to fight with each other on the same side and he has fun because he is able to participate in the battles that he has seen in the movies. I mean who has watched the movies and did not want to drive one of those great big at-at's(looks like a big metal cow with guns)in the battle of hoth(the snow world) and get to fire on the rebels? Or be able to fly one of the snow speeders to try and destroy one of the at-at's by flying around its feet with a tow cable? This game is a lot of fun for all ages and it has a lot of replay value buy it you will like it if you liked the battles in the movies.

I would give it Game of the Year award...

This game is awesome. And it just keeps getting better. I swear, I find something new in this game every day, whether it is a new place to kill jedi or a more effective way to use the sniper's recon droid. The main objective in each map is to capture bases. There are 5 types of soldiers for each team to capture bases with. Each team has their version of a sniper, vanguard (demolitions), regular, pilot, and special trooper. Each teams' versions of the soldiers vary, but they are the same for the most part. The droids' special trooper is a droideka, the clones' a jet trooper, the empire's a jump trooper, and the rebels' a wookie smuggler. Each special character has a special ability that no other soldiers have (you can watch tutorials that explain everything if you buy the game). There aren't as many maps as I'd like, but you can do lots of different stuff in each map. For example, Bespin: Platforms. You can fly around in starfighters and strafe the ground or shoot at enemy fighters. You can also fight in huge melees (this is my favorite place for ground fights because it's close quarter fighting with lots of thermal detonators and lots of soldiers flying off the platforms into the abyss) where you boost your kill total fast. I would suggest the latter if you are planning on winning the battle. Its fun to snipe anywhere especially in the bigger maps like Hoth where there are is an unlimited number of concealed sniping areas.The splitscreen feature is a lot of fun because you can play against or with other people. Now the downsides. Two of the maps, Kamino and Rhen Var: The Citadel, often freeze up. The graphics and character movements get choppy so you're playing in slow mo and then it doesnt run very smoothly. Theres no way to control when it fixes itself, but it ususally doesn't last longer than three or four minutes. Another problem with the graphics that happens more often is your character sinking into the ground partially when in the prone position. Still not a big deal. One of the biggest flaws is the nonability to play as a jedi. It is also hard to kill jedi because they can block anything you shoot at them (including missiles). The only ways I know how to kill a jedi is to either land on them or run them over with a vehicle, or to get them close to the edge of a bottomless pit (which cant be found in too many maps). Thats when you throw a thermal detonator at their feet. It explodes and they go flying. The gameplay is basically picking a soldier, getting him killed, and having to respawn, where you can pick a different type of soldier and can start at a different base. For the most part you go through lives quickly, switching characters depending on what you need to do (exp: destroy AT-AT use a vanguard, advancing infantry use a sniper). Overall, great game, tons of fun, lots of stuff to experiment with, THE END.

Ok this is a very well planned game. Sadly they should of spent a little more time on it.I will explain it in pros and cons.

PROS.

Fast loading time doesn't take too long.
Solid graphics.
Great gameplay, very easy to get used to controls.
Online is fun.
Good campaign...not sure if I spelled that right I forgot how to spell it :)
Good sound effects.

CONS
Sometimes while playing online people like to shoot rockets below your feet and make you fly up into the air for fun.
Sometimes graphics can get sketchy.
Music can get annoying sometimes in the battle scenes it's playing a nice little fru fru song while rockets and bullets fly everywhere.
"campaign" is very fun yet really short, but, do not fear!Galactic conquest is here and fun!
Players do move slowly.

If you are a dedicated Star wars fan you might want to buy this game but I would recomend buying a different one. The Missions are very repetitive (therfore eliminating any replay value) and the vehicles a VERY powerful, oh and did I mention that you can pilot an At-AT ;), but really, one hit from one and BOOM your already dead before you can even see what just shot you. Did I tell you about the online play? IT'S TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! The animation is not at all smooth, no clans, mics sound weird, not many people on, very one sided usually, join in in the middle of games, only can talk to your team, not sure if there is much of a buddy system but then again most people on there seem like nerds, and the whole lag symbol thing, unless you have a t5 connection or something extremely fast, you better get to know Mr. lag symbol well. The Hit miss addition is a great idea in all the bad stuff and I like all the different options like fps or 3ps camera veiw and the auto-aim or manual. For a serious gamer you could finish it fairly fast without much of a problem, even in hard mode. I would like it if you could pick up different weapons instead of automaticaly having 2 picked out for you when you spawn. also it seems that your side can't fight and you are the super-duper galactical hero on you team, your teamates might get 5-6 kills and 10-20 deaths while you easily get 80 kills (my record is 88) and 10 deaths. airiel combat is hard because of the very small enviroments, and if you have an ai in a vehicle with you, be the pilot your self!!!!! I had an ai run me into a wall until it exploded, talk about stupid ai!I like the command post idea but i think there should be more multiplayer gameplay modes. This game will be collecting dust after 1 week of playing it for sure.
