This game is awesome... it's a great game but the controls have some geting used to. Other than that it possibly the best game, or star wars game atleast, EVER. I thought Rebel Strikes was good until I played this game. I would like to be able to play as a jedi though. There is a great variety of maps you can choose from and I like how you can choose from rebels or republicans. he he he. its awesome!
This game ROCKS!!!!

I first played this game at a friends house and was instantly addicted. You can fly TIE fighters around and drive an AT-AT and shoot the enemy. Best of all, you can chose which side you are on, and play against or with your friend(s), since you link up 32 people with X-Box, or play online. Abd you can drive tanks, fight in the clone war, and command your armies with differt commands.
Finally, Some AT-AT action!

Dis game is the BEST(...)!!!!!!!!!!!!! At last, we can pilot AT-ATs. I'm sick of always using chicken walkers. I say, the Rebel Strike AT-AT was horrible. I mean HORRIBLE. Also, were the bad guys now! THE BAD GUYS! Stormtroopers are the best! They also make the AT-ST experioence better! So, for those who love Imperiall walkers, GET THIS GAME!

Star wars battlefronts is a great game for your collection. The graphics are not the greatest, but still pleasing to the eye. For those of you wondering, you can play as third person OR first person. My favorite aspect of the game is the fact you are no one special. You're the same as the guy next to you. (You do have advanced options, but technically you are no one special.) You can defend on the back line, run gun blazing into battle on the first line, or covertly assasianate enemy troops to take over their bases. Any way you play this game, it's all good. Replay value is very good as well.
Pretty good.

I've owned the game only for a few months. I've been a Star Wars fan for a long time and I just loved it when they came out with this game. I've always wanted to be a Storm trooped trudging through the snow on Hoth to attack the Rebel base and this game actually let's me do just that. The game is overall pretty good, except for the fact that the flying controls aren't really that sensitive so you wouldn't be pulling off any fancy mid-air manuevers in it. On certain levels you also can fight against not only the enemy, but the actual inhabitants of that level. Like on Endor, if you were the fighting agaist the rebels, you would also be fighting against the little Ewoks. Overall a good game, I would suggest buying it.
Use your aging computer to drive the AT AT, fly an X wing or snow speeder

This game works great on my aging computer (AMD 1900, 512 RAM, 128 MB video card), and it is now under $20 bucks. I enjoyed playing the single player games, but I like the on-line play even more.
A word about playing on-line: most of the people on-line are decent, however a few chat absolute nonsense/filth. Some of their screen names are even Alarming! If you have a child who wants to play this game on-line, I recommend that you get a second copy and play it online with them. Also, there is an option to "Vote to Boot" your mis-behaving teamates from the on-line game. I recommend doing just that when the bad apples start being bad apples.
The documentation, as in most games is a little lacking. So here is what I found out.
Switch Teams: by clicking the RED symbol over your to be spawn character.
Team Chat: by first typing "Y". Finish with [enter]. The text will be green.
Chat to All: by first typing "T". The text will be yellow.
Cycle through secondary weapons: "G"
Lay down: "X"
Crouch or stand up:"C"
Getting online is simple, and it is free. My friend plays this online with a 56K modem. This is a fun game for the Star Wars fan.
It Can't Get Better Than This!

STAR WARS:
I am a hauge Star Wars fan and if you read this review, sometimes, you might have to change gears from a gamer who just plays games regardless, or a Star Wars fan who buys Star Wars stuff regardless. I like to play games for free time and I love Star Wars. So change your gears now.
GAMEPLAY:
Hi tech battlefield. The cool thing in this game is that you can control your teamplayers. For example:if you press the down directional button, you will command your team AI to follow you. Pretty cool. In other games, your team just follows you. A variety of weapons. You have to do the story mode to unlock characters. each character is asigned two weapons. Also, you can mount vehicles and run over droids or stuff.
GRAPHICS:
I don't know what you think butt compared to other games, this game has awsome clear graphics. And especially in battle games, when the field is intense, the clear graphics makes it clear to see your enemies. BEAutiful!
MUSIC:
Awsome score from the original Star Wars movies (4,5,6,) and from episodes 1,2,. The one problem with the music here is that it's missing my favorite the Duel of Fates. Still, they come up with some cool original songs.
THE DARKSIDE OF THE GAME:
Every game has it's fault's. The only ones here is in the graphics. The storm trooper helmet's are a bit too fat. Also, you are not allowed to play as Jedi. Death Star is not included and there are no space battles. If you pick a character, then you are stuck with two weapons. no changing unless you want to kill yourself and change. Jedi/sith characters are invinsible.
Overall a great game. I enjoyed playing it and i hope you do too.
Great Game - Could Be better

This is a great game for someone that doesn't like to play for long periods of time. For those of you who do play forever, I suggest you buy Battlefront 2. The graphics and soun are very good for a game made that long ago.
a LONG time ago in a galaxy far, far away... but LONG enough, is it?

Star Wars!
Not only do you play as rebels or republic soldiers, you can play as the sepratist or as imperial soldiers. There is an online multiplayer mode and you have he "split screen" two player mode. The two player mode can help u on the campaign as well instead of battling each other head on.
in the campaign, there are two time eras: the clone wars (episode 1-3) and the galctic civil war (episode 4-6).
the first 3 levels of the clone wars you start out as sepretist droids. the rest of the lvls you are clones. sometimes jedi/sith "help" you out and slash lightsabers at your enemies. it doesn't help much, but it cool to have them around. Their moves look a little cheesy too. and when i say cheesy, i mean it's a piece of cheesy cheese. also, if you try shooting them, they block your moves. also, you are not allowed to control jedi of sith characters. the clone wars campaign was pretty short (7 lvls), and i haven't completed the galactic civil war campaign yet. the arrow pads are used to command troops. when you signify to follow you, only like 2 come with you.
graphics
overall great garphics, but the storm trooper (not clone trooper) helmets look very fat/cheesy. Some battles in this game are not exactly in the movie.
game play
the aim system is a circle in the middle of the screen if not aiming. if you zoom, it appears every thing is is closer (this only applies to 3rd person view) on 1st person view, when you aim/zoom, you are seeing threw a scope.
controls aren't that hard to get used to. the only thing wrong with this this thing is that when you choose to be a certain clone, you can't pick up any new items/guns.
overall
this was a great game and will last long (except for the clone wars campaign). there are extra things such as instant combat and galactic conquest but you don't need to know about those (now at least). the only thing i would want from this game is, that you would be able to control jedi and have duel lvls.
thanks for listening to my review!

This is a good game. It is great for non-gamers that stink because all you need is some practice and you will be killing 50 or 60 guys a level (and that's a lot after you play the game).
This game is rated T (for ages 13 and up) but it is not all that bad. You shoot the guy, he falls down, and he disapers, no blood no nothing. This is good for ages 8-12.
This game has good graphics, levels, and clips from the movie as cut-scenes!
This game will have you playing for months(thats the whole idea Right)!
