FUN FOR EVERYONE!

Okay, I'm a 25 years old, a female. My boyfriend is addicted to games, especially any on PS2. I usually don't understand the obsesstion and never spend more than 20 minutes with a game due to boredom or controls are too complicated.
But oh boy, am I obsessed with this game! I was taught about 4 months ago and love this game. The layout is great. Now this is no girly cutesy game. There's no colorful animals, no candy-looking scenary. It's battle and your competitive side really comes out when you play with more than 1 player. The stats at the end of each round always give someone some braggnig time...until the next one starts up. Not only are you battling the enemies but you're also racking up all the guys you put down, along with numerous awards.
Here's the bare basics: You can run/jump/give other guys on your team commands/crawl/etc, you have 2-3? bombs, and depening on the guy you pick you get special items. You can play this game over and over. You can also pick each planet to beat and unlock new planets. So many levels to choose from.
Soooo much fun! I cannot express it enough! Give it as gifts, get it for yourself. There's just too much to write. There's a reason why it's the #1 best selling Star WArs game of ALL time! Can't wait for #2!!!!

This game is extremely fun and addictive. I can and have played this game for many hours. If you like Star Wars and are a video gamer then buy this game! Battlefront has very good graphics and I'm always finding new places to explore. Hop in an AT-AT and blow the enemy to smithereens. The only problem with this game are the gliches such as walking through walls or being able to stand on someones head ( which is kinda cool). But overall this game definetly deserves 5 stars.

Battlefront is a great game. It has fair graphics and good maps. I think that it is very entertaining, but I think that more missions besides plain and simple "Defeat the Galaxy" should be provided. It does meet my standards though. By the way: if you have read all these reveiws you are crazy! by by now.

Star Wars Battlefront is a great game, despite a few minor flaws. Out of all the Star Wars titles I've played, it is by far the best. It offers all of the gameplay styles of the past Star Wars games, including battle on the aerial, vehicle, and soldier levels. You can fight as four sides on planets such as Bespin, Geonosis, Hoth, Endor, and Kashyyyk (One course, Rhen Var, was only in one short scene of Episode 3). The targeting and radar systems are good enough, but the missile lock-on systems are somewhat hard to use. You can fight as four sides, each with benefits and downsides.

Rebels: While the Rebellion lacks some of the firepower of the Empire, they have the best starfighters in the entire game. Their special unit, the Wookie Smuggler, can drop time bombs and shoot several enemies at once.

Empire: One of the best features of the Imperials is the ability to play as walkers- including the AT-AT, which can be used on Hoth and Rhen Var.

Republic: This group focuses mostly on heavy weapons, with armored tanks, walkers, and gunships at their disposal. They are very similar to the Imperials, but have better starfighters.

CIS (Trade Federation): Their vehicles are some of the worst in the game, but they make up for it with their droid soldiers. For the first time ever, you can play as the lethal Droideka, also known as the Destroyer Droid, from Episode 1.

There are only two real downsides to this game. The first is that you can only battle within your side's Era. For example, the Rebellion can not fight the CIS in a battle. Also, every mode of gameplay is almost exactly the same- you must kill enemy soldiers and capture their Command Posts - so the game can get repetitive at times. Still, I would highly suggest it for anybody with a PS2.

Wow, this is a nice game. I rented it at my local Blockbuster for giggles, and I was crying when we had to return it. The graphics are suberb. And when you hit someone, they die, none of the "I'm shooting him but strangley enough, he isn't dead" problems that killed me on SOCOM 2. But anyway, the weapon choices are really something. The gameplay will knock your socks off. You can play as the Rebels, the Empire, the Clones, and the CIS. Now for the immortal PROS and CONS list.

PROS:
1. Good weapon choice
2.Graphics are the best I've seen
3.Each player has different weapons and abilities, which I think is kinda clever
4. Lots of different maps
5. Downright fun to play
6. Three difficulty levels
7. I could go on and on, but now to the cons

CONS:
1. Lasers are kind of cheesy
2, That's it
So if you've got 20 bucks layin around go and buy this game, you won't regret it!

I absolutely loved this game!

My friend let me borrow it and I was playing it basically every day. It's impossible to get bored of this game! When you beat the historical campain, you can always do instant action to have even more fun. The character choices are awesome. There are pilots, guys with machine guns, heavy weaponry guys, sniper guys, and guys with all different weapons. It's really cool when you have two people playing on splitscreen, because they can on the same team, or your enemy. There are tons of ways to play if u use your imagination! I haven't tried multiplayer, but i think it's gonna b awesome!

Pros:
Switch between 5 differnt characters on each team
Awesome weapons
Cool ships
Great battlegrounds

Cons:
None...

This game is great, best game ever in my opinion!

My 8 year old son bought this with his own money and loves it. Not too violent or scarey even though it's rated T. He loves it and would play it more often if I'd let him!

Let me start by saying that I really have to take issue with some of the recent negative reviews of this game. First of all this is not Star Wars SOCOM nor does it try to be. This game is a straight team action shooter so just forget any slams that say it doesn't live up to SOCOM. It doesn't because SOCOM is a different genre. Second, another reviewer said that he got tired of the game after playing for 5 hours everyday. I'm sorry but if you play any game that much, it will get old!! Other reviewers have stated that the game is too easy. The game has adjustable levels and defaults to the easiest. Bump the level up in the options menu and you'll be crying like a wookie and throwing your controller quite often.

Honestly this is one of the best Star Wars titles I've seen in years. This game does exactly what it says it does. It provides true to life simulations of the large scale battles from the Star Wars saga. Pretty much every trooper class and major vehicle is represented in the game as well as the strengths and weaknesses of each.

The only negative side of this game is perhaps the small number of game modes (a whopping 2, historical campaign and galactic conquest). The game is easy to pick-up which makes it accessible to anyone but exciting and detailed enough to hold even the most hardcore gamer's attention. If you are even a casual Star Wars fan pick this one up. You won' regret it. .

I just wanted to say this is a great game. Superbly designed. Accurately detailing the movies. The fighter craft battles maybe could be better but this in no way takes away from the game. This is a must have for star wars fans and shooter gamers in general. Again, great game!
