Half-life 2 is gonna be the best game for a long time. All new effects and technology is used to make this game perfect. One thing i dont understand is (Please do not be mad at me for asking a question) Why is this game coming out December 15th? Half-life 2 comes out September 30th.
This Sucks!

GRAPHICS: Although I cannot really give Half-Life 2 5 stars without playing it, I do believe that is what I would give it. Based on how excellent the first one is, and the revolutionary graphics engine (Source engine). From what i have found out the A.I. will be like a real human, and there will be location damage. The will be ragdoll physics and skeletal animations will allow Half-Life 2 to have the boast the best Engine and A.I. on the market.
THE STORY: Gordan Freeman is back along with the G-Man and of course everyone's favorite Barney, of course they will look like people and not just pale rectangular blobs. Black Mesa has been left behind and the mysterious City 17 has replaced it. City 17 as Valve has said is in an area that strongly resembles Eastern Europe. That means Gordan will not be in the southwestern desert. In Half-Life 2 there is an alien invasion BUT some of the Xen inhabitants are your allies (could Xen have been overrun and they need OUR help?). Gordan will have a sidekick named Alyx, supposedly she is the daughter of one of the Black Mesa Scientists.
THE CREATURES: The pesky headcrabs are back, along with an array of new horrors like the fifty foot striders that shoot lasers from its body, and a sewer dwelling hydra. But I hope that the ham dogs that shoot electricity are back.
BOTTOM LINE: This game looks incredible. And I cannot wait for its release.
3/4 tides me over : )

Hello everyone I am Dr. Noob,
As I am sure you are all aware HL2 might get pushed back again.
Thanks to computer nuts accross the globe there are mini maps that can be played on the HL2 engine crack. Also with the counter strike beta source code out you can get a feel of the gameplay on steam. From what I have seen and played based off the engine and some game play, I must say this engine will be a major part of the video game industry. I just hope they come out with it soon. Heck both doom 3 and Halo 2 will be released before HL2. Over-all it will be worth the wait. The relizm in both the models and maps are insane and are just fun to look at. Belive me, if a game is fun just by looking at it, imagine the actual game. I would highly recomend buying this, if not for the single player think about the multi player. Already they are working on counter strike, day of defeat and the original half life game has been ported over to the new engine. The day this game comes out is the day I will probebly fail out of school. See some of you guys at E3 Peace!!!

Although HL2 is not released at this time, I have played it, via the source beta that was leaked. I can tell you this game is extremely amazing. If it's not as good as the first, it can only be better. HL2's new engine was designed to work on all kinds of systems, taking advantage of preformance if its there, but also not being too demanding if it isn't. VAVLe has been working tiredlessly on the game for many many years, and I know from experience when you delay a game and spend years on it, it's bound to be good. The story follows the same one from the original. Although it was difficult understanding exactly what was going on in the beta source due to it being extremely incomplete, I can tell it will be gripping and very entertaining to play. This game will revolutionize the gaming world with not only its amazing single player story, but multiplayer should be found to be fantastic as well. Counter-Stikre: Soruce, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress Classic, and more mods will be converted onto the new engine, as well as the orginal single player story line of Half-Life. This game will prove to bring a lot more then just the single player game play of Half-Life 2, but a whole franchise of gaming opportunity will be released with it. I can spectate it will get a 5 out of 5 once it is released and I can see the whole product.

I haven't lost hope. You shouldn't lose hope either. This game will be awesome when it comes out. It might make it this year it might not. Who knows, who cares? As long as it comes out, I'm happy. I pre ordered it on january, Yes, I'm frustrated, but it will be long worth the wait. Anyone who hasn't pre-ordered it yet, (...) But please, don't play this one if you haven't played the first one, I beat the first one and I'm proud of it. You should too.
Half Life 2 for ever. Half Life 2 shall rock this world

First:
One guy says don't say the game is good unless you've played it well the people who reviewed the game most of them were allowed to test it.
Second:
This is amazons discription they must of forgot DOOM3 came August 3.
"Unnervingly realistic graphics the likes of which have not been witnessed outside of a motion picture or pre-rendered cut scene"

It was pretty good, but I could have done WITHOUT the Gary Coleman monster, it totally ruined the atmosphere when he came up, EVERY TIME, and they introduce him like half way into the game, so... yeah.
Its good to sleep again!!

So after about 1 week of airboating, dune buggying, sewage running, zombie killing and falling for the main AI character of the game. I finally got some sleep. All I'm gonna tell you is be sure you have a strong marriage and some vacation days from work cause you WILL NOT be doing anything else!! This game had to of been the greatest game I have played! Only bad part about it is that its over!! Now I have to wait till they come out with expansions! *sigh* some things are too good to be true.

i havent really played this game much. i only got to the part with the hover boat thingy cuz i wuz @ someones birthday party lanning. neway. this game has intense graphics and i get so into it that my friend touched my chair as i was playing and actually thought it was from the game. this game keeps you on the edge of your seat. the terrain is so cool cuz you can pick up stuff, like anything you see. WOW! in this one part you have to pick up cement stuff and put it on this thingy to make it even out. COOL! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. i like this game. but the award for best graphics ever has to got to age of empires 3. if you live in asia and watch MTV gamepad, the answer to the question about aoe3 is colonial age.
thats all
