I have never seen such an idea in my life! I like other people will have an idea and say to ourselves, that would make a great game, but this time someone had an idea and let it out to microsolft and they added top of the line sound and grafics. T This is the best racing simulation I have ever seen! I downloaded the trial version first and I loved it. Thats what made buying the full version even better because it is like adding on to a great game! I say look no more, buy this game!

This game, believe it or not, is better than MIDTOWN2 which supposed to be even more exciting than this! Midtown2 hasn't got realism nor excitement, but this game has both, although is not the newer version! The cars are perfectly detailed with their real average speed meter and control! The pedestrians in the game are sometimes business men, or tourists. They walk around streets and cross the road sometimes, just like REAL LIFE! And when you think you can kill them, they jump away from you! Midtown madness also downloaded meigs field airport with planes landing and taking off! And when speeding up your car, the cops follow you. You can sometimes get away from the cops as quickly as you can and not let them track you! You could also make the cops crash into other cars! All of this is part of the realism and excitement in the game! The other part also includes traffic lights! If you're interested into cruising around and obeying the law, one way of proving that, is to stop your car running while there's a red light! Also, you could always control life at Chicago! Before you cruise in chicago, go to the main menu and there you can change the population and traffic in the game! You can reduce the pedistrian density and the traffic density aswell. And don't forget, you could also reduce the cop density aswell! Proving this game could get more realistic, you could put in city sounds instead of music while driving! Or you could increase the detail in the game by going to the graphics option! Do not even forget, every time you cruise around, the music changes! And that my friends would not make you bored! When you're tired of cruising around, you could always win races to unlock special cars! Or you could also go to multiplayer and play cops v.s robbers match! I could go on and on but i'd better leave you here! And remember, it's up to you to buy this game! But my advice is to buy it!

This game is so realistic and fun. The 3D graphics are awesome. I have played it at a friend's house. It is cool how you can drive in racing mode or FREE/TEST DRIVE mode! If you are good enough by winning races, you unlock a bus and a truck! I totally recommend this game to peop,e who love graphics, cars, and/or racing! You can just use the keyboard, you do not NEED a joystick or steering wheel. Another cool feature: when you are driving, to accelorate you press the up arrow. And you don't have to hold it to keep going the same speed! to slow down, press the down arrow. You can go really fast. THIS IS THE BEST GAME!

Wonderful product-hope to see more like it

Midtown Madness is one of those few computer games which you buy and just cannot stop playing. Others get boring, but with MM, the fun remains. The only real competitors this game has are NFS V and Driver. It beats both hands down. I am a driving sim addict-those are the only computer games I play most of the time. Due to this, I have played literally hundreds of driving games, including the computer and PS versions of NFS V and Driver. For a computer game to beat a PS game (I use a keyboard for my computer; no joystick or steering wheel) is *very* rare, but MM achieves this with not a competitor even coming close to it's realism, stability and sheer fun. MM gives you a whole city to drive in-no limits to where you can go, no wrong way, no out of bounds... other games give you 10 or 11 tracks. MM gives you a whole city-and with MM2, they gave you 2! NFS V loses out here. MM has only a few cars (in MM2, they added more) but even with those, the realism of their handling, bumps, engine trouble, noises, damage... is wonderful. Both NFS V and Driver's graphics are better than this, but Driver only gives you one car, so... And besides, you can always download other cars. The competition in MM races is fierce, with the competitors using their cars against your weak points, fishtailing you, bashing you up, cutting you off... The only thing is that the police are *really*, *really* dumb-even the ones in Driver are better Overall, this game passes with flying colours in other fields, but the big test is stability. On my P-III 550 with 64 MB, the game flew, with no crashes and no dropped scenes. On my P-II 450 laptop with 32 MB, the game was only a little worse, with a few pauses and dropped scenes, but nothing major. Compare this to NFS V on the laptop, which crashed the system every time I started it, and Driver, which would freeze after about 1 hour, and the results look good. So, my verdict would be 9.5 on 10, but I gave it a 5 star rating, because there is no option for halves or quarters. I say buy it; I have had it for 6 months and am *very* happy.

THis game is so cool, you can ride around down town Chicago, smashing cars and doing lots of other damage, or you can drive safely and see all the things you can do on the streets of Chicago. MIdtown Madness is a great game and I recommend to anyone who likes fun games.

If icould give it 6 stars I would

This is one of the best simulaters ever. It just blows Need For speed and other games out the window! There are so many tracks, about 30, then there is cruise mode were you get cruise around chicago, while pedestrians and other drivers coment on your driving. If you got a new PC (NOT A LABTOP!) this game is a dreamboat. Tires burn and engines smoke if yoou crash to much. number of cars are ok but the ones they do give are awesome. They give you: VOLKSWAGEN NEW BEETLE, cadallac eldorado, FORD MUSTANG GT, ford mustung fastback, Freightliner Century (flatbed truck), Ford F-350 superduty, Panoz Roadster, Panoz GTR-1, Ford mustang police cruiser, City bus, and i must have forgoton something. If your wondering you can't jump the highway boards theres a invisible wall there and the tops of the buildings are liquid. There are some graphics glitches like disapearing traffic and ghost cars , but who cares with a game like this.

This is the best game i have played since a long time. If you love driving simulations you will love this game. The graphics are great and driving around is loads of fun. You can't use all the cars at first, because you have to earn them, but earning them is just as fun as driving around. You can cruise around or you can race. This is a great game

I've played everything...THIS IS THE BEST THERE IS !

I agree there could be more towns to drive in, and more cars, still don't kid yourself...THIS IS THE BEST CAR GAME OUT THERE ! The best for sear fun, and one of the only ones even a three year old can play without help! (My 3 year old loves it! )You don't even need to race, just driving around hitting cars and stuff and scaring people is a blast! Graphics are great, and being able to drive so freely beats Need for Speed and the rest by miles. I gave this a 5 ONLY BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE A HIGHER RATING! If you want THE BEST, and want PURE FUN....THEN BUY THIS !

Most Enjoyable Driving Game I Ever Played!

I have been to Chicago before in the wintertime, and I have never been to a bigger and better city. Naturally, when I went to my friend's house to play Midtown Madness, I was excited since it took place in the Windy City. I have never played a more enjoyable racing game. They had the city of Chicago laid out to near perfection. The only problem is they forgot to stick a neighborhood beyond the outfield wall of Wrigley Field, but that was OK. The best mode is the cruise mode, where you can just go insane. You can chose how many cops you want on patrol, how many pedestrians you want so you can see them go diving for their lives, how much traffic you want, and the time of day and the weather. It doesn't beat actually going to Chicago, but it's close. They got the landmarks all laid out in their correct positions. The El is in this game, Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, the Wrigley Building, Soldier Field, Meigs Field, Wrigley Field, and a shopping mall that you can crash through! That's TIGHT!! The car I always chose is the Panoz Roadster. I chose a City Bus one time, but it's pretty slow. Fortunately, you can run over just about anything with a bus, but it's hard going flying over the draw bridge by the Wrigley Building. The only problem I have with this game is that Bill Gates seems to think everyone has the proper equipment to run it. Well, some of us don't. I tried downloading the trial version, but my computer wasn't up to the task. Oh well. It's still a fun game. Kudos to Microsoft!
