Huge bosses

This is a very unique game that is worth playing. Its awesome riding around on a horse exploring the landscape.

Just the game i've been waiting for.

I first played the demo a while back, and was convinced right away that this game would be the next big thing. Now that I bought, played and beaten it, I can really say that this game was worth the wait. The graphics are nice for PS2, the controls work just fine, the music is very entertaining as it adapts to the situations, and the story even, though not as grand as FF or Zelda is somewhat refreshing. I'm looking forward to playing thru this game a couple more times, cause the battles with the colossi are really addictive. My big gripe about the game is that it came out for PS2, I believe it would have been an even better game on Gamecube, the controller would have been just perfect for it, and I'm sure the graphics would have been even more beautiful. I know Sony made the game, and Nintendo has it's own "fight with a sword, ride a horse and save the princess" adventure game coming; but for the sake of the game, it would have been flawless.

Dissapointed in this game!

I was expecting this game to be like God of War. I usually play these type of games with my gf. We use the strategy book and try to pass each level. We found the game to be boring. It couldn't keep our attention and the movement of the character was not good. I would not recommend this game to anyone! If you really want to play a good game try God of War I and God of War II.

This is without a doubt the worste game I have ever purchased. It is basiclly one big empty landscape with about 16 or so bosses that you have to climb on to beat.

They could have made this a decent game so easily just by puting in some minions and some characters to talk to and buy stuff from. As it is right now it's just a really, really, really, crappy version of Zelda: Orcarina of Time.

If you have any respect for decent video games you will not buy this video game unless it is for the sole purpose of setting it on fire and stomping on it.

Everybody is right, good scenarios, graphics, etc, but very boring game to play, its all the same, it takes you 15 minutes to get to every colossus, and once you get there, you need help from internet to know how to finish with the colossus, and you kill them all the same way, there is not enough action, BORING,BORING,BORING

A great silent film could be interesting at best.

Great environments and boss fights. The boss fights are sorta typical of adventure games, it's a combination of both action and puzzle. What makes this game different is that the boss fights usually involve finding ways to climb large moving creatures and staying on them. All there is is 16 boss fights, and when you're not fighting them, then you're traveling around the environments searching for them. It's fun and innovative gameplay for the most part.

The down sides of the game (to me) are the graphics and narrative. Despite cool scenery the graphics themselves are kinda blurry. The biggest problem is the narrative. What's an adventure game without a cool plot? There's no voice acting and the story clips are only at the beginning and end, the actual story leaves a lot for the imagination. The game is always compared to ICO, I never played ICO but I'm guessing it's also something like a silent movie. That's the feeling Shadow of the Colossus gave me and it's probably the style the developer goes for.

Too complicated.

You have to be a kid to figure this one out. I guess I am too slow to figure it out. I wouldn't recommend this game.

I got bore within 45min... story is weak, animation is weak... basically everything in this game are so weak that I had to return to store immediately... YES!! Thats how weak this game is!!

HORRIBLE!! This game is horrible DON'T BUY IT.

The controls suck.
The storyline is horrible.
The graphics ain't that good I don't know why people say they are so good.

The only good thing about this game are the bosses. Don't buy this game.
