Too short, excitement is short lived, no replay value.

For the first time since GTA 3. I have finally played a game that is so fun and addictive! This game leaves you wanting more! It took 2 yrs to make! Simply the best COD ever! However, it's only 4 hours long! No replay value once you beat it on veteran! I wonder how good multiplayer is?
Good game, but nothing new.

When I bought Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, I was expecting to be slightly let down by the change of setting. While the previous Call of Duty game had not been as consistently good as the other games in the series, it seemed strange that Infinity Ward had skipped over the Korean and Vietnam conflict for a game setting. However, the modern setting, as I found out, is well thought-out. However, this fast-paced, story-driven game is lacking in one major field: originality. The storyline, while good, could have been ripped from just about any novel about terrorists, and the game has nothing new on the previous games in the series. NOTHING. Nil. Zilch. Call of Duty 4 is any other Call of Duty game, except the soldiers carry AK-47s and M-16s. There is no innovation of any kind in the gameplay. In fact, listen closely enough, and you'll notice that many of the sound effects are carried over from Infinity Ward's previous Call of Duty game, Call of Duty 2. A few gimmicks such as an AC-130 gunship level and night-vision goggles don't help make the game seem newer.
However, ignore that fact, and you've got a great game. The graphics, while not great, are good, and the cinematic style serves to keep the player on the edge of his seat. Multiplayer is probably good, I haven't tried it. This game is easily a must-play for any shooter player that owns a 360.
Good game , but ....

In fact, the worst thing in the game story, which is detrimental to the Arabs directly and indirectly. The city of Jeddah in the game is not as presented has been presented as a backward city and the old way. The game is good, especially online mode .
Probally the most overrated game of all time

This game is SO OVERRATED. Campaign was short. Multiplayer was the same as Halo 3. The missions in campaign that were ok are what kept me giving this a 1 star in the "fun" rating. I mean, this game blows. Its Conflict Desert Storm with a different case and slightly different missions and characters. This game is such a disgrace to the COD series. I LOVED 1,2, and 3. This one BLOWS!!!!! Get Army of Two/BioShock/R6V/R6V2 and put your 60 dollars to good use. See you later!
UPDATE4/12-I know Halo is unrealistic. I think everybody knows that. At least this game is somewhat realistic. But
1)Turrets Overheat in this game. TURRETS DONT OVERHEAT!!! I've shot turrets before, and you have to reload them after 100 shots(which you dont do in COD4 i think you know), BUT THEY DONT FU**ING OVERHEAT!! WTF!!
2)Why cant you take silencers off the guns? I know you cant do that in AO2, so dont tell me. But why cant you reach down, and screw the silencer off. Thats BS
3)Graphics. Sure they look great. BUT ONLY IF YOU STAY PUT IN 1 ROOM. THEN THEY ALL LOOK THE FREAKIN SAME!!!
Okay have a nice day goodbye
terrible

There are so many glowing reviews in here that I'm almost sure that the marketing team for COD4 wrote them all. I this title is good, not great. What stands out in COD4 is the amazing graphics detail displayed on the environment. In contrast, the character models definitely need a lot more polys, which can be seen as you watch your team stack up to open a house door that should look much more detailed too. I like how tight the controls feel, with fluid movements as you look around in search of the enemy, but I totally hate the gun fire sound effect. When engaged in a fire fight, the machine gun fire sounds like everybody is banging on zinc roofing planks all around you. I think it's about time that Infinity Ward graduated the COD series to REAL gun fire sound effects and REAL looking and sounding granade explosions. I recommend this game at a purchase price of $40. If you buy it at $60, you're a tool.

First off, without a doubt, this is a great game. That being said, this game does have some serious flaws.
Graphics- 3.5
The greatest word to describe the graphics is "Inconsistent". You will go through most of the single player game marveling at how wonderful the trees and walls look, then realize that the explosions are absolutely terrible. The deaths are amazingly unrealistic and so are the air strikes.
Multi player- 4
The multi player plays extremely well although it can get frustrating at times. It is very well balanced. The only thing I wish was added was a function that would increase damage after you kill a player. This would make it easier to finish the challenges (mini quests) you are working on.
Story- 4.9
The story was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best I have ever seen. It feels like you achieved something at the end.
Single Player- 3.9
Short but sweet. It also needed something more personal about the characters you play as.
Over all- 4.1
I believe this is an over-rated but still pretty good game. It doesn't give you an accurate description of war, but still, its a very good game.
Awsome GAME!!!

Its a good game,Great graphics, Ease of movement of character
I got tired of people ending the game if you were rated to High(Good) It was a lets see who can rank up the highest the fastest, not a work with team members to have fun and play a great game.. Way to much testosterone, To Bad..This and halo3 killed Rainbow6 I think every server xbox had was running rainbow6 now...One running everything? People seemed to have lost interest,I went out and bought a PS3 to see if theres was any better, But thats a differnt review. Peace
I'd buy it again!

I'm only 5 missions into the campaign and it's been pretty fun and enjoyable so far. I haven't played online but the reviews from other forums are that it's 10 times better in online play. I'd buy it again.
