I have been a FPS player for a very long time and even though I do not find the time to play that much anymore, I always keep an eye out for the next big game, the game that will make me want to rush home and start playing like a 10 year old (I am 30). THIS IS THAT GAME!! OMG! the physics, the cinematography, the game play everything is phenomenal, just the way people interact to the bullets the way they die or run for cover amazing experience!

I own Halo3 and some other newer titles, nothing comes close to this, NOTHING!!

Cant wait for 5!!!!

Online Nerds UNITE!!!

I wanted to play with buddies at my own home - CANT. You must pay for the online services of your xbox360 for ALL NERDS TO UNITE ONLINE. I guess the hype and high ratings come from those fellas with the head sets and small biceps. I hate that most "BIG" games now days seem to be online driven and designed for that type of play. Hey, I guess whatever makes money right? Monkeys see, so monkeys do...

FRUSTRATINGLY PAINFUL!!! yet fun multi-player

The good about this game are many, the bad, few but just absolutely horrible. The good are: fun, great graphics, good controls, fresh new ideas for a fps, great multiplayer (especially like the kill camera so people can't just camp the whole game), perks in multi are nice.

The Bad: There is never a short supply of badguys somehow. they just pore out the same house constantly like cockroaches. In hardened or veteran difficulty it's hard to make progress. they seem to have an endless supply of grenades. when you get shot you bounce all over the place which should happen. When you're shooting the enemy, he doesn't seem to flinch and mows you down. when being tactical, the friendly ai is great! when a nuke is about to be launched or the spot you're standing on is about to be fire bombed by friendly fire, that is NOT the time to be tactical, yet they still decide to take their sweet time while you have to run ahead by yourself with no covering fire. a bad that i think every fps i've ever played has had wrong with it is perspective. when you walk up to an object with your rifle out in front of you and the object gets bigger and makes your rifle look like a toothpick... that's a little bit wrong. this has been going on since Goldeneye 007 on the N64, FIX IT! all you have to do when you walk up to a person or an object is have the character lower his gun. it'll take it off of the screen so it won't look like an M16 pressed up against a leaf with a width of 5 feet. veteran difficulty will frustrate you very much at times so get ready for many deaths. also, online matchmaking is not done so well.

Overall, if you love to play online you're in for a great game. if you just play single player (you should first get out of the stone-age and get some good internet) you are in for one frustrating game if you plan on beating all missions on veteran.

I played the single player version and finished it in a day of heavy playing. Great graphics, sounds, etc. etc. It's not the game's fault that I have to realize the extreme shooter genre is not exactly my thing.
The game is gripping but for me soon forgotten, like a shallow Hollywood movie. I am missing some tactical depth beyond blasting it.
My biggest problem is that the game play is not always transparent. The objectives are clearly stated. It was not always clear though why sometimes my actions didn't get me to the objective and sometimes they did. It's a bit too much trying around and getting eventually lucky without exactly knowing why.
I can't speak for the multi-player online play.

A very good video games, and the replay value is good if you like to play online. I was very impressed overall, one of the better first person shooters out there today, period.

i have all of the call of duty games from cod to cod4 i suggest you get them if your relly into war games great graphics great story great weapons and levels c4 charges clamors sniper rifles m60 heavy machine guns rpgs and more GET THIS GAME IF YOU WANT FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Online gameing is better than Halo 3

This is a great First person shoot'em up game. Possibly one of xbox's best games. The online gameing experience is excellent. Great gun selections and modifications. The more you game the better gun,and modification choices you have. Yes, this is better than Halo 3 for online gameing. All in All, The more you play the more fun you'll have.

This game is amazing if you dont mind videogame violence. It's been given 10 out of 10 for most reviews The graphics and story are awesome the game play is cool also the different xbox live game types are very cool 1 example is team dominations (capture the flag). This Game will keep you busy for hours on end.

Single player/Online gameplay. Absolutely amazing!! I am not much of a Armed Forces video game player, but this game made me change my opinion. I have been playing Halo 3 online for quite some time, thinking I would never change games..... With that being said, this game is unreal.

Single player mode is great, amazing graphics and gameplay, even with my old "tube" TV. If your enemy is hiding behind say plywood or a thin piece of sheet metal or whatever it may be, you can shoot through it, which is very modern of course, amongst many many other things.

Online play is even better. Didn't notice any lag, it seems to be a heck of a lot easier to get kills, you can change guns by pausing the game, and once you respawn you have the new weapons. When you die, it goes to a video and it shows who killed you, and how they did it. That is by far the best online perk I think. It leaves out the painful question..... "Who the hell shot me??"

All in all GREAT GAME!!!
