Great Game

I noticed a few reviewers say that the sixaxis controls felt forced. I believe in the options you can turn that off so you can use the analog control sticks.

Anyway, I was extremely excited for this game, especially after playing the demo. I then read a lot of negative press from early reviews and so forth, so I began to get a little worried.

My only gripe with the game is that it is a little short, but it is fun enough that I would go back and play it again, probably a few more times, just for the cut scenes and story. It's like watching a movie you love multiple times. If you are worried you won't like it, give it a rent. It's well worth that, at least.

this is really the best game right now for PS3!

Do you wanna know about a good and complete use for the sixAxis and great play mode? do you want to play a very exotic game with very amazing graphics? if your anwer is YES! this is the game for you! Heavenly Sword is a game make like movie, rich in cinematography, details, scrip, art direction, music and actors. So im already told you about de Good...

The Bad: this is really a short game, and thats to bad, you can beat the entire game in six or seven hours; but i really love to beat this game again and again; and the other thing... King Bohan's Reminisense of gollum, please no more Andis Serkis Face for a while please.

This game does have great graphics and a somewhat great storyline and a sexy lead charater but that's it. It's to short for one and annoying on the other hand. God of war was a much better game. I wouldn't reccomend buying this game at 60, go out and rent it because you can beat it in the time you rent this game. There really is no real replay factor to this game either.

Heavenly Sword is a great game with a great concept, though it is incredibly similar to God of War. I didn't mind that so much though since God of War made for an excellent game.
My biggest beef with this game is that Girl Kratos has some of the worst looking hair I've ever seen. With all the amazing effects you can now do with the PS3 ...that was what we got for hair? Her clothing looks amazing, flowing and material-like. Her skin actually has poors, flaws, shine from sweat, smudged makeup, but her hair is a giant lump. That's just not okay with this amazing technology.
My second problem is that you have to be amazingly accurate at everything. While shooting cannonballs, you should not have to have a deadon shot on a tiny shield in the distance Let's face it, if you have a cannonball that hits just under a shield then that shield is going to blow up. It doesn't require a straight on hit. Same goes for rockets. And at one point I hit a gong and it actually rang the gong, but apparently my hit wasn't perfect enough, because I had to try hitting it again right in the middle to get a door to open.
Also, they don't give you time to get used to the tilt axis of the controller. If this is your first PS3 game the you obviously have no experience with this and just being thrown into needing to use all the time is rather difficult to get used to.
Also, the Kratos-like experience of pushing the buttons on command to kill enemies off or to climb walls or other various things is nice, except that you have a lot less time to see the button flash on the screen before you need to hit it. In God of War you had some time to comprehend what you were looking at. Here, it has to be dead on in two seconds or you're done.
Other than these problems, I loved the game. You can get used to the tilt axis controller and you can get over her hair looking bad. You can also sooner or later get the button on command pushes just right. Don't hesitate to get this game. It was great.

this game is so much fun but it is so damn short even with hell mode. me and my cousin beat this game in one day including hell mode!!!!!!!!! but it is so fun!!!!! i still recommand it. i am getting ready to buy myself a copy.

Great "hack them up" Game....

This game was the second I tried on the PS3 platform. For the "Hack them up" genre it played very well. Graphics are superb and looks great on my 55" HD-TV. Be aware that unlike Assassins Creed at 1080p it is only 780p. Not as good as the GOD OF WAR on the PS2, but to be fair the games are distinct and this one is fun, none the less. Probably 7-9 hours of fun for a hardcore gamer. About a week for your average casual player. PS3 games are overpriced... so shop around and wait to get the best deal.

This game is a must play.

I bought this game a while ago and it had been sitting because I couldn't stop playing COD4. I put it in and was hooked right away...a friend of mine was watching me play and he wants a PS3 now just to play it. Best use of the sixaxis by far. The only knock I had was that Normal mode was too easy in a lot of areas. I wish it would have let me play on Hell mode from the beginning. Then people wouldn't complain on how short it is. If you don't play a game on the hardest setting available...then you shouldn't even review it.

I am not into God of War type games but let me tell you, you cant go wrong with this beautiful gaming experience. I bought it because i played the demo, and saw videos of it, and since ps3 didn't have any games out that caught my eye I bought this game (I am into RPGs). Let me say, I would spend 60$ all over again, its such an incredibly well done game. Not boring by any means! You can't go wrong!
