Best game i've bought in ages.
Very good gameplay, graphics are stunning (specially on my 30" dell) and the controls are easy.

If you don't have it, get it! Best game of 2007, hands down. I played this in 1024x768 mode on an nVidia 7600GT Core2Duo E6700 system with no problems at all. Great story, great style and theme, amazing graphics and sound (the sound guys deserve an award for this one).

Its wonderful, unique underwater setting, art deco, graphics are marvelous, sound work fantastic, the bad thing, its single player only and too short for me. There are two endings based on weather you save or harvest Little Sisters, but just as i gathered enough plasmids, tonics, weapons and upgrades to enjoy the game without dying too fast and was ready for like additional 10 to 20 hours of battling SPLICERS in Rapture the game comes the the final Boss fight and thats it. Buy it if you want for 19,99 no more. The plasmids are very cool, and weapons are sweet, so if you don't mind the game s limited replay value of 13teen chapters through like 20 of total hours get it. I badly wish it was longer. P.S. I bought it used and there was NO problem with activation or Evil Securom DRM that many people complained about before and gave a game bad reviews because of it. The game ran silk smooth on my PC with Sempron 3400+, 1 gig of RAM, and e VGA 7600 GT

This game is amazing. Not only does it look great, but it plays great as well. It is by far the best shooter I've ever played (Better than COD4 and Half Life 2, I think). Despite all the problems others have had running it, I've had hardly any at all. Its crashed 1 time, but I'd only been playing for like 15 minutes so it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, for some reason, except for my graphics card, all of my system specs are at the minimum requirements, yet I have the graphical settings up all the way, and it works perfectly fine. The game is actually a little scary too, and does a great job of setting the mood with music and scenery. Definitely one of the best designed games I've ever seen. Anyways, if you're skeptical about buying this because of how many people have had problems, just give it a shot. Who knows, you could get lucky like me :)

This game is amazing. Thrilling, terrifying, moving, confusing, amusing, compelling, and very dark. BioShock isn't simply the sign of gaming realising its true cinematic potential, but one where a game straddles so many entertainment art forms so expertly that it's the best demonstration yet how flexible this medium can be. It's no longer just another shooter wrapped up in a pretty game engine, but a story that exists and unfolds inside the most convincing and elaborate and artistic game world ever conceived. One thing, there is NO rootkit. There have been some problems getting the game to install as Irrational Games authentication servers had some problems the first few days and some people had problems inputting their reg code properly. This is a minor issue, but there are obviously some immature and bitter people here. Since so many others have spent the time to review this game already, I will post the reviews I found on metacritic.com:

Probably the most unusual fps game I have ever played.
Very solid, innovative and complex. Tons of fun.

From the moment to exit your crashed plane and look back at the burning oil it is a non-stop adventure. You will replay this game over and over to see the things that you have missed find new exits prizes people. You have no name but a guide named atlas who moves you around needless to say snooping is allowed and encourged. The people in Rapture are stuck in a 1958 new years eve costum ball. there comments are a riot. but in the wings are little girls with a great power and a hudge friend. hes call Big daddy or Mr Bubbles a hudge diving bell of a creature. hes mean and hard to kill but you must get past him to get to the girls. Now your consciense must be your guide. Kill the girls and get 100% of there adam or save them and get a little adam an life drug you need to survive. Three different ends depending on what and how you do things. It is a trip in to wonderland where everyones nuts Talking vending machines, Powers you can buy or obtain, like shooting bees out your hand or lightening the killers are on the ceiling behind everything,Bonus, everything hides prizes even the dead,. money, ammo, health, weapons, this is one tryly great and well done game. The audio is fantastic you can hear Rapture leaking, creaking, Spooky sounds music oh and security bots in the walls that fly at you when least expected. Buy this game and enjoy your Stay At City Rapture 20 leages under the sea.

After anticipating this title for a few months prior to release, I had high expectations. Just about all of them were met. If you've got the hardware, this game is visually stunning and the atmosphere is great. The combat system is fun and the integration of puzzle solving keeps the gameplay fresh. Definately a must have this year.

Bioshock is great...if you have a good PC

I bought bioshock, about 2 months after it came out. Great storyline,gameplay. If your PC is just allright, it wont run. My PC is top of the line and it still occasinaly glitches. If you are looking for a fun, intense shooter, pick up Bioshock!

Rapture

This is the game, I really enjoyed this game. I haven't finished it yet but I am planing too. I have to wait untill I get enough crysis before I finish it.
