fun game

this is a very fun game if you are into rpgs. most of the game is easy except for a few parts. i really liked it and finished it in a week.

rachet and clank is one of the best games ever made. the graphics are stunning the sound is top notch and theres a whole lot of gameplay. unlike the typical platformer rachet and clank focuses on weapon usages and the best way to use a weapon. the game is connected to an intergalatic hub world consisting of 18 planets. theres a map of objectives to be completed on that planet. rachet and clank happily does not fall into the tradtional platformer item hunt. rather than going around collecting to complete a mission. you simply collect to be able to buy new weapons with the currency of bolts. you start out with a mere bomb glove and a wrench at first but the weapons start getting better. like the pyrocitor- giant flamethrowing gun. the blaster- responsive fastshooting pistol. the ryno 2- groundbreaking machine gun. visibomb gun- gun that allows you to move the camera after the shot is delivered. the devastator- huge rifal. theres also the morpho ray the tesla claw and others it would be hard to list them all. the gagets range from the therminator and the trespasser to the dynamo. rachet even gets a hoverboard which he can use in the planet rilgar racing competion. the visaul scope and graphics are simply amazing. the game features graphics that would make jak and daxters graphics look weak by comparison. you are in huge excotic futurustic citys forests and vistas while everything runs at a smooth 60 frames per second. you see bright colors and you can see so much detail work and objects and vast plains ahead. youll wonder all night how they put together such a graphical masterpeice. this games beats jak and daxter in every way heck theres even a skating pole where you can skate in one planet. not to metion how interactive and minutely detailed everything is. are you conviced yet go get this game. but wait thats not all rachet and clank is twice as long as jak and daxter.

Only one small problem...

and that's that the game isn't eternal. This is truly the best game I have ever played, just difficult to feel like an achievement, with tiny games hidden throughout to enjoy.

The re-play aspect isn't great, I ended up playing a few times, as it gets harder once completed, but without enthusiasm. Once 100% completion is attained there isn't much to look forward to. However, since the game was long enough the first time around I didn't find this disappointing.

RATCHET AND CLANK: JUST FOR FUN

This game rules!!! RATCHET AND CLANK is about an adventurous mechanic and a robot on the run. You go around as Ratchet(Clank changes into a back-pack and travels on Ratchet's back)collecting items and bolts(money),saving planets, destroying bad guys, and using gadgets. I won't spoil the storyline but this game has amazing graphics, funny characters, and wacky weapons.

There are over 30 weapons and gadgets to choose from! Here are just a few-
The Bomb Glove, Pyrocitor, Blaster and the Devastator.
Now, this may seem a little boring. Just bombs, a flamethrower, a gun and rocket launcher, right?

What about-
The Suck Cannon (suck and chuck enemies!), Glove of Doom (makes minitiaure robot allies), Mine Glove (let the mines do the dirty work for you!)and the Morph-o-ray (turn your enemies into chickens!)

There are also cool weapons, like-
The Visibomb (control your rockets), Walloper (punching glove)Tesla Claw (electronic beams) and don't forget the all powerful R.Y.N.O (Rip Ya a New One) and special upgrades, gold weapons!

And gadgets?
The Swingshot(swing to and fro), Heli-pack(to fly!), O2 mask (breathe polluted air and unlimited oxygen when swimming) and Magna-Boots (take a guess)are just a few!

And this is not all. You can also become Clank, and the destructive Giant Clank, who can shoot rockets, punch, jump and explode!

So now do you want to get the game? You should! It's cheap, too, and is for almost anyone! (there is no blood, just a bit of animated violence.)

if you own a ps2 you must buy this game

rachet and clank is one of the very best platformers ever. its compelling intresting and just a joyride to play. it takes place in an intergalatic system of levels. each level is called a planet and diffrent names for planets too. planet rilgar planet eudora those are just examples. basically you are required to complete a mission to go to the next so called planet. actuaully missions theres about 3 in each and theyre displayable at the options screen. when youre in a planet youll wanna bash open crates for bolts the currency of r and c. bolts can be used to purchase weapons and gagets from the general gagetron stand. rachet and clank is so much fun theres no transversing or replaying levels its done in a nonrepetitive fashion theres no load times and youll have unlimited lifes. theres 36 weapons and gagets in rachet and clank plus the wrench you start out with. the wrench is basically bashed like a sledge hammer but can also be thrown like a boomerang if you press the li button and sqaure button in the same instance. the weapons include a basic shotgun a flamethrower plenty of bombs. and the gagets differ from things like a helipack flying mechanismor a swingshot. the graphics in the game are just a blast to look at. the levels are gargaunt and the graphics are so colorful detailed and perfectly animated. one of the best looking games on the ps2 with ease the graphics are just award winning apseouloutely fabolus graphics. the characther animations are also very beautifal the expressions designs everything is well done. the music and voiceacting are also well above average. the controllers are never a nuisance and can quickly be countered with a tap of the li button. the game is just so fun and challenging and its never frustrating or discouraging its always just excellent fun. this is a wonderful must have game. dont think twice about getting this game. this is one of the best looking best playing games ever on the ps2 and will be a welcome library to the all the ps2 platformers. and at the price of 20 this thing surely is a great bargin.

better than jak ii

rachet and clank is an excellent platformer. it has exceptional graphics voiceacting and plenty of sharp gagets and weapons to top the cake with some heavy custard there are even skating games. but often the qeustion comes up is it better than jak 2. thats quite an excellent qeustion. jak 2 focuses on carjacking hoverboard runaway beat up style missions. whereas rachet and clank has all those cool weapons and gagets thats quite the qeuistion. but after some irritating backtracking and frustration of jak 2. id have to say rachet and clank. rachet and clank is just less annoying and more of a joy to play. i had some wicked fun in jak 2. but all around rachet and clank is probally the best of the best i highly recomend it. it has some of the most wonderful graphics youll ever see in a game. lots of cool weapons. its extremely fun very accesibale and very enjoyable. but heck if you cant make up your mind get them both.allthe worlds are gigantic filled with activity the graphics will simply shock you out of your mind in this game. you can go to gigantic swamps lakes city metropilises oh you gotta see this game to eleive it.

rarely will you find a game like this

just like the title above says rarely will you find a game like this. rachet and clank is just that good. and it simply has all the tools to easily replace the best platformers. from its deep captavating graphical detail and all those great weapons you truly will love this one. its deep imiginative has wonderful graphics and a very good storyline. the detail of each level is superb. the worlds are gigantic bright colorful and chok full of detail. you can even see veichles and things in the sky hovering pass you when youre in levels. the characther animations are definitely better than marios engine could handle. by looking at rachet you can tell he is probally the most detailed and beautifally textured characther ever in a platformer. you can get acess to about 30 weapons and gagets in the game. like the blaster the pyrocitor the bomb glove the taunter the visibomb gun the devastator and my favirote the ryno. you can get get lots of weapons. but the high prices demand you collect bolts. the cutscenes voiceacting and characther animations are superb. rachet is definitely one of those platform characthers you can make a atrong bond with. you will fall in love with this game. even the tunes and music are suprizingly well done and very fun to listen too. theres a whole lot of fun to be had in rachet and clank. its a long game to about 20 or so hours of stretched gameplay not counting the bolt collections needed for the weapons. rachet and clank is not to be missed not to be taken ligtly and beleive me not to be underestimated. do yourself a big favor and go buy this game now.

playstation 2 or xbox game

the graphics in rachet and clank are so good. that im suprized im actuaully playing a playstation 2 game. ive played xbox and beleive me rachet and clanks graphics are definitely up to par woth xbox. the playing areas are enormus. the bright colors used are wonderful. just look overhead in some levels you can see veichles flying by. rachet and clank looks like a detailed intergalatic city. the graphics are apseouloutely insanely good. the game has great weapons. like the devastator the hyprocitor. all of them were a treat to use though not nececarily needed. and unlike most games i actuaully really enjoyed the cutscenes. this is one of these games youre actuaully dieing to see the story progress. ive pkayed xbox games and plenty of platformers. so i know what is a great game. and beleive me rachet and clank is s great game.

A good game

The game is good but I have not beatten it. I need help with the part with the water filling up on planet rilgar (hover board racing planet) and I do not know how I can get the o2 mask. The game play is fun and sometimes FUNny. Getting the wepons is fun to. I have always liked varity and this sattisfied my needs. It is a great game and I was going to give it 4 and a half stars but I couldn't.

I got this game. It was great. The graphics I would give an 8 out of 10, the cutsenes are very funny, and the levels are huge! There's so much room you can go places you might never have been to before even if it's your fifth time. The gadgets and weapons are cool, and even more, you can fly planes, and control clank when he's big(as a giant robot) If you like action-adventure third person shooter\fighting\exploring game, this is a good one!
