this game isnt really that good. its fun but there lots to be desired. like first of all cant you people think of anything besides weapons. oh yeah weapons weapons they make a game dont they. please you closeminded fools cant see anything but weapons. but thats what this uncreative pile of garbage is all about unfortunately. intelligint gamers will now read on. basically youre in this space world and you just pretty much kill everything you see. this game is just a stupid uncreative trashy pile of crud designed for people too dumb to understand anything. here are the cons and pros of the game. cons annoying characthers linear gameplay pure uninteligince no creativity or classic platform elements. pros nice cartoony bright graphics excellent flow of well put together music. so bottom line is rent this if youre an intelligant person who want creativity in a game rather than walking with a gun preparing to shoot the life out of everything like a fool.

I have never played #2 or #3, but from what I've read and heard, they have all the parts of this game that I didn't like amplified. I originally rented this years ago in a quest for a new platform in between Spyros. It was kind of cute, but everything just seemed dull and repetitive. No puzzles, missions, or anything. Just firing at enemies. Eventually I got to an area where I couldn't find the way through, passed the controller on.
kind of cool

Reading some reviews of this, it looks like people were bribed to praise it's genious. It is a good game, I've been playing it for a while and I like it, but that's about it. It doesn't compare to classics like, well, any Zelda title. Also, the camera could be more sensitive, it can be cumbersome at times, but my complaints end there. Good gameplay, good graphics, but only grab it if youve already experienced the classics, because this is most definately not a replacement.

This game has okay playability and is pretty fun. The music is not the greatest nor are the controls. I think that some of the puzzles are fun but the graphics are not great at all. Hopefully Commando will be better.

This game is fairly well done, but lacks that special artistic touch seen in "Jack and Daxter" or "Sly Cooper". I recommend getting those titles first.

The Great world of Ratchet and Clank
Fun, Fun, Fun, that's what you will be having once you play the one and only Ratchet and clank. This game will keep your hands on the controller and your eyes glued to the TV. This game has everything you could ever ask for in a video game so get ready to come in to the amazing world of Ratchet and clank.
What can I say about the levels besides the fact that they are excellent? The levels are so excellent because in some of the levels it gives you a riddle to solve which makes the levels challenging but fun.
The price is great because it is worth so much but it cost so little. The price is somewhere around $19.99. Once you play this game you will ask yourself why it isn't much more.
Most control settings for good games such as this one are pretty hard. But the control settings for this game are excellent because they are not hard to remember and not hard to do. So if you think all control settings are hard then try playing Ratchet and Clank you will think twice about this game.
Usually graphics are pretty realistic and that's what makes the game great. For this game the graphics are so realistic it puts you in the game. If you like graphics you'll love this game.
So what do you think? Are you going to play this game? If you are looking for an action packed game then go to your local store and pick up this game. I would recommend this game to all ages. The rating is E for everyone. I command you to go home, sit down, and have a good time while playing this video game.
Hands Down, the Best Platform Game Available

"Ratchet & Clank" is fun and innovative. The graphics are outstanding, and the gameplay impeccable. This game has some of the best voiceovers I've ever heard, and the humor is just cheesy enough that it is clear that the designers knew they were being cheesy and decided to ham things up when possible. I was very impressed with how easy it is to interact with the environment, and the weapons were creative and unique. So long to the days of jumping on the enemy's head to destroy it, with an arsenal of 30+ weapons, "Ratchet & Clank" finally brings platform gaming into the new millennium. Each weapon adds its own exciting twist to gameplay. "Ratchet & Clank" builds on past successes in the platform genre and then runs off into a one-of-a-kind world with a gaming experience like no other I know. A wonderful game for all ages, and one that will hopefully inspire families to play together.
The only thing that keeps me from giving this game 5 stars is the fact that you are forced to replay each level again and again and again in order to get enough bolts (money) to buy all the upgraded weapons-- which is itself a requirement for unlocking all the "goodies" available after beating the final boss. Also, a strategy guide is pretty much required if one wants to understand and beat the secret challenges that open up other "goodies." Game designers just don't seem to understand that many of the people who play their games do so as occasional recreation, and that it is disheartening and frustrating to reach the end of a game only to find that some of the best special features are not available to us simply because we don't have the time to replay the same game multiple times. If the game costs the same for part-timers as it does for hard-core gamers, then we deserve the same complete gaming experience as do those whose primary hobby is video game playing. And no one should have to spend extra money to buy a strategy guide for a game like "Ratchet & Clank" simply because the designers refuse to put any type of clues at all regarding certain "missions" into the game itself.

The first time I saw the preview of Ratchet and Clank in a Playstation magazine, I thought it looked cool, but that it was just another knockoff of Jak and Daxter. I eventually broke down and rented it, and to my suprise, it was great! The setting is brilliantly colored, the environments totally interactive, the characters were interesting and fun to play, and gameplay was easy enough for young kids, but complex and challenging enough for players of any age. I loved the flexible camera angles, which could be moved with the right analog stick, and the triangle button left for a quick weapon change to fight specific enemies diiferent ways. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the full effect of the game, because the one I rented had a scratch on it, so many of the characters' voices didn't work, and it continually froze up. But when I bought the game, I found it to work perfectly fine, and I think it could easily be the best game of the season!
