My mom bought this game for me for christmas right in front of me! She let me open it and look at the instruction booklet. It said it is about this guy named Blarg who is the ruler of a polluted planet. He gets tierd of the polluted planet and decides he will take chunks off of other planets to put together the best planet ever. While making small robots to steal chunks of planets, one got a computer bug,and turned out to be a good guy but brainy. Clark escapes from the factory, and finds Ratchet on another planet. Ratchet is workintg on a spaceship, but can't get something quite right. Clark comes along and fixs the problem. Then he asks Ratchet if he will help him save the galaxy. Ratchet agrees to help clark, and thier mission starts. Thats all I can tell you now, but highly recomend this game. Go Ratchet and Clank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is totally nuts and off the wall. Rachet and Clank are a classic example of characters that don't hold back. Really, this game is so off the wall its unbleieveable. You have a huge weapon arsenal to choose from including rocket launchers, missiles, flame throwers....you name it. Gameplay is challenging and fun. I like these types of games where you just blow-up targets and huge explosions. This game owns!!!

This game is fairly well done, but lacks that special artistic touch seen in "Jack and Daxter" or "Sly Cooper". I recommend getting those titles first.

My #1 choice of platform games on he PS2 so far..

Ok, so I haven't played them all but I do know an awsome game when I play it. Graphics are great and the control is perfect. I played jak and daxter and while it is a good game, it can be very annoying at times(unless you wanna cheat).

Now here is something I don't think I have seen mentioned on a game review yet, maybe because I am the only one over 30 writting reviews? Anyway, I have noticed that since games went to full 3D range of motion, I sometimes get very nautious after about an hour of play or 30 mins if it is Spiderman. Well if that ever happens to you this game is so much better for the cam motion or lack of it. It will keep up with the action but not swing and twist you into a green faced wuss that has to turn it off for a rest.

As for the action..Yeah baby! I am addicted to getting ALL the bolts(your spending money). I love all the weapons and cool stuff that you can BUY, of course. It does remind you that NOTHING is free. The load times are not even noticable and you can jump past all the blah blah stuff if you like. Well, I haven't gotten far enough yet to talk about anything else. I did just defeat a big boss and it was a lil too easy, but hey it was the first one of the game not to mention I ROCK hehe. So of course you should spend your hard earned bolts..I mean dollars and buy Ratchet and clank.

I've always been a huge fan of platform/adventure games, so when I saw Ratchet and Clank, I knew I had to play it. But I did'nt have a Playstation 2. So, 3 years later I finally got a PS2, and the first game I bought for it is Ratchet and Clank. I hoped It would be good.
I was not dissapointed. The Ratchet and Clank series has quickly become one of my favorite video game series because it's diffrent than any other adventure game i've ever played. The characters and worlds are very well- desingned and the voice acting is excellent. But it has to be the crazy weapons that are the best part of Rachet and Clank. I could'nt wait to find out what gadget I was going to get next.
The only problems I have with this game are that you can't easily obtain bolts, so it's hard to get all the weapons quickly and the hoverbord races are a little tedious. But these were both fixed in the sequel, and they don't detract any enjoyment from this instant classic.

RAtchet and Clank 1 is one of the best ps2 games. U can buy all these weapons with bolts that you find or get when you distroy a monster. In this game you really need good hand eye coordination BUt were kids (well i am) and we have good hand eye coordination. You travel to different planets as ratchet and his buddy clank to stop the evil dude (i for got his name) from taking over the planets. The weapons are awesom!!!!!!!!! You have to buy the weapons from the gadgettron (thats why i gave it 2 stars of educational value. But it is awesom. Youll youll love the game when you first start playing. It takes a good and pretty long time , so you can enjoy the game. There are to me no yes i repeat no , no ,no no, bad things about this game . dont listen to anyone you are going to love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am telling you buy this game everything is so cool . I cant wait to get the 2nd and 3rd!!!!!!!!!!

This is like the best game you'll ever play all the weapons are awsome and if you liked this game like i did buy Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.

This game is one of the greatest games in the history of video games! Its fun for any age and its funny (thats hard to find in games these days) its fun even if you've beat it 20 times! All the sweet weapons and gadgets are fun to blow the crap outa your enemys with! If you dont have this game, GET IT!
