I love to play the same levels 100 times! Yay!

This game is SOOOO fun if you are like me and love to play the same level again and again 100 times. I like to just sit and hold my PS2 controller and press the same buttons again and again even when my PS2 isn't even on, so you can imagine my joy when I got to play the fight scenes in this game and got to press the same buttons 10000 times without getting past the level! It is so fun: you make no progress for hours, then you get to start all over again the next day after turning off the PS2 without a save point. Such a good game and designed so well with people like me in mind. I wish more games were like this. The main fight scenes are like that old game Track and Field but without a point to the button pressing. You get to try and try and try to defeat enemies but you can't! And of course, not being able to make progress makes a game so much more fun. It really makes me feel like my hard earned money was well spent. It is so great. I hope the next one that comes out is "Prince of Persia: Press the Buttons" where you just stand there and get to press buttons without enemies to even fight. I would love that so much. There is nothing like pressing buttons without end.

COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT

BUT THE PROGRAMMERS MADE IT SO YOU HAVE TO DO THE SAME LEVELS 100 TIMES AND I GAVE UP. DO WHAT I DID: SELL THE GAME ON LINE. MAYBE THEN GO TO THE STORE AND SUPERGLUE THE POINT OF A THUMBTACK TO YOUR FINGER TO PIERCE AND DESTROY OTHER COPIES OF THIS GAME SO AS TO COST THE COMPANY MONEY. HAHAHA.

Do Not Buy it! Rent it, or borrow it if you want to play it

As stated in title, Why? The game does looks great but does not justify the dollar u spent on it. Trust me, the graphic looks great but there is some problem with cameras, fighting, and pointless story. This console save point has go to stop, many times u will find yourself repeating the same things over and over -- lame way to make the game longer to play. What's wrong with the ability to save everywhere?

The female character is pointless and useless. She helps the enemy by screaming for help then got killed and then game over.

To make matter worse, Ubi's forum has a moderator called Freakishly. This guy has an attitude problem. if you criticize the game in any way he locks your post. Gee so we are supposed to say how wonderful the game is even if its not? A guy complained how the game didnt support Nvidia 440, he locked the post and said "go read the label next time". Hey, the guys just wasted 50 buck for a game that they couldnt play nor return. He is a jerk, I supposed people at Ubi are like him.

Again DO NOT BUY THE GAME. Not recommended!

fun at some parts, but at others, its so hard that it takes all the fun out of it. if you want a real action game for the ps2, buy god of war or resident evil 4. they have fast paced action thats not lagged down by horrible gameplay.

Dont get this game!!!!

Button mashing destroys a potential great game

How could it be that a game designer like Jordan Mechner would allow button mashing endless fight sequences into what has the potential to be the greatest game ever for the PS2 or any other console? A great premise, gorgeous graphics, awesome character movement and abilities....and my copy is going up on ebay later today because the GAME IS UNPLAYABLE. I grew out of "kill an endless stream of enemies to get to the save point" at age 15. Button mashing hell. Avoid this game and wait for the next one in the series which will hopefully be an improvement.

this game has probably the worst camera angles and game controll i have ever seen. its not fun at all. all you do is die, rewind time, only to die again and again. if you like fusturating, annoying and migraine inducing video games then this one is for you. other wise look els were.

I am playing the game right now and I have to type meanly on my keyboard. To get started I loved the 2D prince of persias and for that I started playing this expecting a lot. My first impression was that this was a great game, the graphics are beautiful and the moves are cool. But that is the end. there are so many horrible parts to this game I could never get to them all. worst of all though are the camera angles. this game had so much potential and they completely ruined it. COMPLETELY. half the time the view is shifted so that you cannot see yourself or the important action going on. next, you have to protect this obnoxious (...)that does absolutely nothing but get in th eway and get you in trouble. in short i wish i could have loved it but I really hate this game and the only think that keeps me playing is the need to finish it so I can throw it away.

Beware One Seriously Annoying Aspect

All the positive comments by others are basically true but there is one TRULY annoying near-glitch in the otherwise beautifully rendered game and oh-so-smooth interface. It is the successive jumps tactic that is occasionally REQUIRED to move on to the next area. This is the run up the wall and then jumping back and forth from wall to wall. This move is disproportionately difficult from virtually any other move and can literally add hours to your game time. There is no way to really 'master' the move either because in different situations the timing requirement is different - this one thing truly hurts the gameplay and enjoyment. Everytime you hit the multi-jump area it can take an hour to get it. Or once in awhile you do it the first time - there is no rhyme or reason to the move at all. It's just a total game downer - wrecks the flow of the story and completely frustrates experienced gamers and rookies alike. My friend who'd never played before got it before I did, then could never duplicate the move and gave up.

The truly strange thing is that other seemingly complex and difficult moves are rendered quite smoothly, predictably and easy to master, but this one move being so disproportunately difficult can just ruin the game.
