this game is now where near as fun as the underground games. if you are going to buy this game get it for gamecube. need for speed hot persuit is a million times better on gamecube. you would think they would be the same. the gamesube one i would rate 5 stars the one for ps2 i would give a half a star.

Nothing so special in this title . If you want to seek for the best graphics , go for PC. On PS2 the graphics are a bit [worse] but still fair to play .....

I always despised the NFS games, the only good one was Porsche Unleashed. I lost interest in this piece of schlock after 20 minutes. The graphics quality is 2 years behind times and has overall kiddie feel to it, number of tracks is limited, control is horrible. Cop fight mode is an interesting variation on the racing theme, but how do you execute it if the cars neither break nor steer? How these guys get away with selling such garbage for...a pop, is beyond me.

This game is awesome. The graphics are the best, the cars are great, and it is a fun, exciting game. The cars include evrything form a McLaren F1 to a Ferrari F50 to the Lamborghini Murciélago. If you are thinking of buying this game then quickly buy it. You will love it

Need 4 speed has been one of the best racing games ever. They really struck when the first released hot pursuit 1. Now hot pursuit 2 comes with a new rush of action, with the latest sports cars, lamborghini cops and a new introducing to air pursuit.
Although I have made this game sound fantastic i have rated it 4 star through the fact that under the time it took to make i think they could have had a better game play and more advanced maps!
Though i recomend this as a must buy!!!

i really did not like this game for many reasons. for one thing it is not very realistic. i have a v12 vanquih and i cant out run the cops in a corvette z06, and i reccomend that you choose the extreme handling versus the classic handling. in extreme handling you are able to move the car much better. also there are times when you make a jump and the game freezes and it goes around your car this can get really annoying. there are also short cuts since you race on a road courses these can get really annoying because you can be in first then last because you didnt take the short cut. it seems that EA spent more money on the music(which isnt very good) than on the game. the graphics are nicely done and the cars are pretty cool but why spend 50 dollars to buy this game when you can spend 20 dollars and buy gran turismo 3 a much better racing game

this is their best game ever. both undergrounds and carbon doesn't even compare to this game and never will. u get to play 49 cars, 30 races and several cop cars. u get to play with a friend. graphics are great. i like some of the music on there. u get to choose your players names(player 1 and 2).
