The Mullet-Loving hero returns!

I cannot believe this game is coming in November! I seriously thought it would come in 2004.

I'm not absolutely sure if you actually play the "mullet-loving hero" (Snake) The only thing I know about this game is that it takes place before the first Metal Gear for MSX and the NES.
it takes place in the 1960's. I just hope you don't have to play a dork like Raiden.

Im a MGS Nut and i cant wait for this game. i have MGS, MGS2, and the Document of MGS2. MGS3 is the one im waiting for.

I havent played the game yet so I cant say its good nor Bad ( Though I think its going to be awesome) But I do Know a lot of info on this game. 1st, You play as Solids Snakes Father... BIG BOSS. It Does take place in the 1960's during the Cold War. The Gameplay is going to be enhanced with "stalking" and using new weapons such as the Knife. The enviorment you play in is in the Jungle. Raiden does not appear in the game, since Raiden isnt born yet in the 1960s, nor is there any character change.. YAY !

What can you say that hasnt already been said.....MGS3 IN NOVEMEBER WOOOOOO....anyways, Just to help people clear some things up.... You start off by playing as Big Boss, which if you play Metal Gear games you know that Big Boss is the man that Solid, Liquid, and Solidus were cloned from. People argue that David Hayter who does Solid Snake's voice in MGS2, is also in this game, say that, this means that you play as Solid Snake..not true, becuase Big Boss and Solid Snake are exactly alike, which means same voice.... (hence EXACT CLONES), and there is one thing that is not cleared yet...that I would love to find out...Does Grey Fox make another appearance??? Only we will find out in Novemeber... also everyone knows it takes place in the 60's, Cold War Era, in some Japanesse Forest, the game takes place 90% I believe out doors and then near the end you infiltrate a base, which will most likely hold the movable Nuclear launch mechanism (Metal Gear) of some sort. Alright, all we do now is wait until the glorious month of November for the release......

About time...

Konami released another MGS game. I enjoyed MGS and MGS2, espcially Substance. So much depth... Can't... swim... too deep...
Anyways, Snake Eater is gonna be awesome. I've seen screens in EGM (the Sonic Heroes cover) and the graphics are still some of the best out. Just wish I could see the trailer. Dang those Quicktime video formats.
The game will take place in a jungle, but hey, you can't have an MGS game without a modern base full of walking tanks, the "Metal Gear"s. I still love the room in MGS2, with the random names, all full of Metal Gear RAYs.
The AI will *gasp* have an IQ large enough to know to take cover before bleeding to death.
You get to eat animals in this one! Yay!
I like chicken!

A Preview of the next Metal Gear Solid Game

This is NOT A REVIEW this a PREVIEW of the game. The only reason I put five stars down is because you have to select a star to submit a review.

There has not been much released about Metal Gear Solid 3 at this time. But the setting of this one is the 1960's which means that it's BEFORE Solid Snake was created (I'm assuming you played the first one so if it spoils I'm sorry). Snake was born in exactly 1970 (Provided that you know he's 35 in MGS and that takes place in the year 2005) Evidently you'll be playing as Big Boss possibly. This man looks like Snake (even has the mullet) but he seems to have had something done to his eye which makes me suspect that he's Big Boss.

Metal Gear is changing up to be a even more realistic than it already is. This one takes place in the jungle and the only way to survive is by actually eating animals. So no more rations in this one. Instead you eat animals for restoration in life. Also, I'm not sure if you get a radar in this one. Not only that but I'm not even sure what the plot of this one is supposed to be.

Whether we play someone like Raiden or not hasn't been released and I don't have high hopes on that since they hid Raiden away from us when MGS2 was released. I didn't have a problem with Raiden, but the fact that they just tossed him in there didn't suit me very well and I hope that Konami learned from this.

When I have obtained more information I'll post another preview for this game and when it's actually released I'll post a review.

In this all new game it takes place in the jungles. The title is currently called "MGS3: Snake Eater" because that's what you do, you eat animals to survive. I was told that this game is supposed to be released in November of 2004, so Christmas shoppers for next year better start pre-ordering!
In this game, you don't play as Solid Snake. The game is going to take place in the 1960's before Snake was even born (or created?). So I am thinking it's Big Boss. The player in the game looks exactly like Snake, because he has the same DNA and genetics as him. Also, one of his eyes I heard is missing?! Anyone who is a fan of the series would know that Big Boss has one eye, even though no one has really seen him in any of the games, (except for Solidus Snake in MGS2, who looks more like him).
I don't know much more about this game but we will know soon enough.

ok dudes so you know it comes out late 2004 to early 2005 so for you dumbass's has konami ever released a game 1 year after makeing its previous version.......nooooo. and it is Big Boss Snakes Father but so you know they are the exact same except in the mind because Big Boss gets killed by snake for messing with metal gear so does grayfox. Gray fox is 38 so I dont think he will be in it but I dont know he might be a clone to. This is going to be awesome, I mean playing as the Greatest soldier ever born even though snake won he is a clone of the big man. Its just the name that confuses me..... I mean I read the story of metal gear and it never says that Big Boss code name was snake hmmmmmm o well we will just have to see. Buy this game dudes cuz its gonna fly off the shelfs and Ps3 Comeing out 2006 WOO WOOO!!!

Metal Gear Solid 3 looks great (I have downloaded some of the trailer music and it's flat out beautiful). If game asthetics are just as important to you as gameplay, then be sure to check this out. The graphics already look awesome.

F.Y.I., it will be called Snake Eater most likely because according to the story in MGS, Solid Snake served in the Special Forces before joining Philantrophy, the anti-Metal Gear group. Since the character in MGS3 seems to be a younger Snake, we can only assume he is a Special Forces agent in the game. S.F. agents carry the nickname "Snake Eaters." I just thought anyone curious should be aware of that; I learned that myself from Time Magazine. Or maybe you eat small reptiles; who knows. All I know is that Kojima is definitely going to put a lot of effort into this game and we can expect greatness.

I think MGS 3 is going to be one of the best game of Konami. Everything looks all realistic. I have the ten minute trailer.It is cool. You play as Big Boss not Snake. Now he could hang from one hand and shoot with the other. I pre-ordered this game and I can't wait for them to ship it to me. This time no radar. You are gonna have to hear for twigs to break to identify an enemy. Now there is hunt dogs looking for you too. I hope this is helpful for you guys.

i know this game is going to be the greatest part yet. i have read all the reviews and seen the trailers and i know this game rules. Now solid snake is no longer who he was b4. you play as a different person now, some kid of secret agent, referred to as snake eater. watever, now he can hang from trees, struggle 4 survival by eating animals(snakes) and since there is no radar you have to listen close to hear bent twigs forshadowing troops. remember, now hunting dogs are on the lookout as wel.
