Good...Not Great- - Loads of Room for Improvement

MoH:Frontline looks like one of the best games, especially at the beginning when you're thrown into the storming of the normandy beaches.

But then you go on all of these "Bond-like" Missions, I mean who in WWII fought alone, who broke into a secret U-Boat factory ALONE?

There is no way a person could take out that many people. It's possible...If I wanted a 1 person, alone shooter, I would have bought 007:Nightfire or one of the other Bond series.

I wish that MoH:Frontline was a tactical sqaud-based first person shooter, I mean even when you're teamed up with a group of people they never kill anyone, just recklessly shoot.

In the end Metal of Honor: Frontline could have been the coolest game invented, if it wasn't so "Bond-like" It gets really old having to kill everyone yourself, without the help of your so-called "Commrades".

MoH: Frontline is only cool if you really like 007 or something like that, but if you're looking for squad-based, REAL war, I recommend Ghost Recon.

Here's a breakdown:

Graphics- 10/10 this is one of the best parts of the game, it all fits together nicely and looks seemless.

Gameplay- 5/10 It's o.k., but machine guns have infinate ammo and it's just really shotty, AI is completely awful.

Difficulty- 5/10 Too mixed, there's no feeling of levels getting harder or easier, The beginning is hard, but then in the middle it's really easy. And at the end you face off with tons of germans with one bullet...HOW STUPID!!!

Fun- 6/10 gets really hectic and just really stinks that you're on your own facing tons of Germans...it seems kind of futile. You don't even get to fly the cool plane, seems like all of the hours you've spent on the game have been fore nothing.

This game could have been great, but it wasn't. I mean there is a good premisis, but it's just too boring and too repetitive. It's definately not worth $20, trust me, if you haven't played it yet, you're not missing anything.

Strengths outweigh the weaknesses

Okay first off, the game is not a breakthrough in the area of graphics but trust me when I say that doesn't matter. The graphics are good and do more than enough to help the overall presentation, which is extraordinary. The realistic way in which this game puts you into World War 2 will literally take a player's breath away. The sound effects, combined with the authentic weapons, uniforms, and sounds make one feel as if they are taking part in storming the beach of Normandy. As you navigate across the beach you know that at any moment you could be tagged by one of the gunmen on the bunkers, mortar shells, or air raids. The controls are a little difficult, but again, that fades in comparison to the experience of playing this game.

The Metal of Honor Series hits the PS2 at last

Metal of Honor Frontline is the perfect progression of the MOH franchise. If you have not played the first two MOH games I recomend getting a hold of them because they are great PS1 games.
One major part of what makes MOH Frontline shine is it's new platform, the PS2. The creators of the MOH franchise as well as many other game designers are able to more completely realize their visions for what their games can really be.

From the very start of the game, the player is immersed in the world of a WWII fighter. Now, if this is 1% of the realism that a WWII veteran faced during the war, you can see why we are forever indebted to our veterans.

The follows much of the same story driven missions as past MOH games but with the increased visual power of the PS2, the games is in for a real treat.

The controls are fully customizable and I encourage gamers to find a control scheme that fits their playing style. It may take a few times to find one that works but it is worth it as the user will soon not have to think about what they want to do, it will just happen.

You can not review a MOH game without talking about the musical score and sound effects. Frontline does not let us down, this game begs to be hooked up to a surround sound system or at the very least, a stereo system. Get comfortable, dim the lights and raise the volume and you will be truly drawn in. The music changes pace depending on what is happening on screen and the weapon sound effects are par none. The sniper rifle sounds so real you can almost feel it "kick".

This is by and far the best true to life "war game" first person shooter available on the PS2. Another plus I should not fail to mention is that you get a history lesson while you play this game, the film footage is a nice plus.

This is a great game to showcase your PS2. Now go out there and get your copy!!!

It doesn't get any better then this!

This is one of the reasons you have purchased a ps2. It has great graphics, unbeliveable game play, and an extremely high replay value. I have played it over and over again just to find beating it more rewarding the next time. There are a few glitches and what not. but with a game this great they are easy to look past. Also at times it can get a bit difficult but replaying a few levels over again is a real treat and if you like a certain level you can go replay it at anytime. bottom line, what is not fun about this game? Come on now you get to kill nazis :)

Number 1 game!

I CANT SEE HOW PEOPLE LIKE THIS KIND OF CRAP!!The first two levels are pretty decent but the AI is the worst kinda crap next to the whole game! One time,i was 500 meters away, and i see bullets whizzing past my head! The levels are sssssssoooooooooooo BOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIING!!There is no blood and gore, which makes it hardly look like a battle field. The weapons make the most UNREALISTIC SOUNDS!The Thompson SMG sound like some guy farting, the Colt .45 sound like someone chopping at a tree, and the B.A.R....Well..I cant really explain that lol.Overall, this is one of the WORST PIECE OF GARBAGE MAKESHIFT FPR GAME I HAVE EVER UTTERLY SAT THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also,in Easy difficulty,it takes about 500 bullets to kill me.Right now,Medal Of Honor Frontline is sitting on my shelf collecting dust.I ought to take a bazooka and shoot my copy through the window of the building who made this thing! The only thing this game is good for is....FIREWOOD!!The reason I gave it one star is because ITS A GAME!!I hope i inspire new generations to stop buring wood..Insted of wood..USE MOH!!

must have,mouthwatering.jawdrooping game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have played the previous medel of honors, those were O.K. Then, this new one came out and I baught it right there.I was very pleased. This game is an action packed first shooter. You carry real world 2 weapons and you mow down thousands of nazi soldiers. It has 18 missions with objectives like rescue a soldier to execute a leader. The only bad thing in this game is there arn't really as many lvels as the other medel of honers. Even though the levels are pretty long. But that's only one rong thing and I still love ths game.

An excellent game

If you by any means like the stories from WWII this is a must have. After some time learning the control you will be able to experice the feeling of a real war with all the stress and anxiety it got. The manufactures are real WWII freaks too
and it shows.

Note that you should be 18 years to play it.
