Uber fun gameplay. Repetative Design.

This game is freaking great for crazy cool action. Drive, Limit, and Reaction commands made for some incredibly fun fights and they barely ever got tedious or annoying.

The character design however is what bothered me the most. This may seem weird for me to not a like a game because of how some of the things look but Tetsuya Nomura's characters all look strikingly similar.(warning spoiler ahead) Ansem (Xehanort, Xemnas, Ansem heartless whatever) looks like Sephiroth. Setzer looks like Sephiroth. All the Organization XIII guys wear black form fitting robes. The bad guys in Advent Children wear form fitting black leather suits. You see what i'm saying. They look pretty darn cool but there very similar a lot of the time.

The planet designs weren't that interesting either. Sometimes they'd do cool things like expand on old designs but it never was really all that great in my opinion. (Atlantica was one of the most annoying things I've ever done... EVER)

Gmaeplay was superb. Design wasn't all that.

KH2 alot better than first, leaves room for a 3rd

this game was an amzing game except for the flipin 5 trillion hour prologue. it wasnt so bad because it kind of explains alot when your near the end of the game, and when u start learning more.
graphics- 10/10-graphics were amazing if this comes out for PS3 its going to be a must buy.
music-10/10-love the theme song alot better then the theme song for the first KH. the battle jingles werent half bad but they changed it everyonce in a while so your ears wouldnt bleed
gameplay-9/10 this game had alot of new features like drives that allow sora to combine with his friends. there is valor form which allows sora to dual wield a keyblade and enhance his strength. theres wisdom form which allows sora to float, use magic alot easier, and shoot thingys out of his keyblade. then theres master form which allows sora to combine with both of his buddys and become an eye popping beast. there are also secret forms such as the anti form and the final form which make no sence. even though the cut scenes are annoying they always tell you about whats goin on and u could skip them if u want.u could also use the right analog stick as a camera which i think makes it easier to lock on and try magic spells since ur not always tapping r2.the only bad part about gameplay is u cant explore until u pretty much beat that world. if u try to sora will say something like " i dont have to go this way lets go to the other door" or something like that. the gummy ships were alot more fun and doesnt leave u saying goddamn that was easy and boring.
replayability-7/10-if u want to beat the game on easy first then move to standard then beat it on proud its your chocie. but after u beat it the first time u feel like youve already gone through the worlds twenty times and know everything about the game.
overal-4.5/5- this game isnt a 4 but it isnt as maxed out as a 5. i would rent it first and not play it like crazy. i think this game is gonna stay at 49.99 for a while so if u want to wait its fine. the next kingdom hearts isnt gonna come out probaly for 3-4 years cuz thur gonna lie about the dates its gonna come out. there are some questions to be answered in the next kingdom hearts that really leave u hangin and wanting more.

I was looking forward to this game for a while. I am glad to say it is amazing! The graphics the story its all great. It is so much fun. The only downfall is the gummi ship it is a boring waste of time. Other then that it is fun traveling to different worlds fighting the heartless and nobodies and I highly recomend this game to anyone. :)

Square/Enix save Disney's butt, again

Disney owes Square/Enix a favor, big-time. Kingdom Hearts 2 is so important in defining the next generation of action RPGs, Disney never could have made such a creation in-house. After decades of painful Disney video games, the company finally wised up and abdicated to the more sophisticated Japanese designers. It takes guts to admit you need help. Kingdom Hearts is the best quality Disney game since NES Duck Tales.

So I buy the game a week after it comes out, play it, enjoy it, laugh, cry, and fall in love with the plotline and gameplay like the first one. But what sucked was having too re-visit a level to take down an Orinization XIII member and do it again. As for beating it, depending on wether you just picked up a PS2 controller or you're a die-hard gamer (like myself). If You're new, I'd give it a year, but if you're a pro, two months at least.

Good Things:
1)Griping plot line that shall make grown men cry
2)Graphics to please Adam Sessler
3)Enhanced Real Time RPG Gameplay

Bad Tings:
1)Repetitive Boss Fighting That Becomes slightly predictive

This is the next great game to buy for the PS2! What's bad: It's very long and hard. What's good: Everything else in the game. There is very good grapics, Plus, a frickin' Drive command is added.
If you like sword-weilding RPGs without the blood and gore, Then this game is for you, Which is why I rate it 5 strikes out of 5.

Pros:
A intricate story. LOVELY.
Likeable characters.
Beautiful animation.
Opening Song "Sanctuary" is lovely.
King Mickey! =)
1000 Heartless War Scene [could play it over and over again, it's so much fun.]
Cut scenes bring more elaboration and direction.
Reaction Commands
Larger Worlds
FFX Characters =)
Kairi is beautiful. =)
Maleficent's Revival.
Introduction of Yen Sid [sorcerer from fantasia].

Cons:
Though the cut scenes are lovely, they take up a good 60% of the game.
The DDR that is Atlantica.
The game as far as battling and what you can do seems a little forced with the massive amounts of cut scenes and marked off areas.
Pete.
It's toooooo long.
It's not a game you can play over and over again.

Overall:
So pretty much, take the game for what it is.

This game is awesome and completely deserves its 39/40 rating from Famitsu (only 6 games have gotten 40/40(!))
The graphics and camera angles have been improved greatly, as have the gummi ship levels, which makes this game a great experience of Final Fantasy and Disney!

This game is so cool!!!!!!! It's easier than the last game because you always know what to do but it is so much fun and the scenes are awesome! Even if you've never played the first one (which would be a shame) I still think you would like this game i would give it 50,000,000 thumbs up if i could!!!

So its finally here, Kingdom Hearts 2, and I must say I was not disapointed. The graphics were incredible and the music is better then ever. The reaction command and drive system made the game so thrilling it is almost impossible to explain. But there is some small things that stopped me giving this beutiful work of art 5 stars. First of all, the story line was a bit confusing. I mean you dont even play as sora as first. You play as his other half Roxas. When I finally played as Sora, and the feeling of that took forever. Another thing was that there were too many cut scenes and not enough fighting. But overall It was a great game that was well worth the 50 dollars out of my pocket. So with this parting words of advice, I recomend buying this game, when you have at least beaten Kingdom Hearts 1 otherwise you are going to be even more lost then I was. But any way the creatures were spectacular, the voices were perfect and the story line, confusing as it was, was still stable and full of great characters. Thats why any square or disney fans should at least rent this game and give it a chance. This is me over and out.
