Interesting Puzzles

1st of all, this game is not for those who are not willing to think since you won't progress without using your head. The game tends to have a lot more math problems, but none of them require you to use a calculator to figure out the solution (I have not used one at all). The puzzles range from very simple to common sense and some mind numbing puzzles in addition to actual puzzles (slide puzzles to be exact). Some of them are very easy to solve and you won't need to use the 'hint coins' (which are coins used to get hints for the puzzle without giving away the answer) while some are difficult and require some hints (you can get up to 3 hints per puzzle). If you had to categorize the game, it is a point and click game (where you point at the person/object and touch it on the screen). This game requires you to think, not only for the puzzles but for clues to solving the mystery (although it is a very straightforward game some parts require you to locate certain people at a specific location). In the event you can't solve a puzzle you can always go back to it later and try to solve it then. Also, if you are missing a puzzle, later on you will get access to the puzzle you missed for that chapter (although if you missed something early on you won't be able to get it back later on). Overall, the game has over 100 puzzles for you to crack and that is more than enough to satisfy any puzzle lovers, but it gets better as there are puzzles that are downloaded every week for you to solve a brand new puzzle. Simply one of the most unique DS titles to be released on the system and does not disappoint.
Recommended for everyone and highly recommended for puzzle lovers.
Logic Puzzles Around Every Corner

I haven't had this much fun with a DS game in ages.
Around every corner is a logic puzzle or riddle that tantilizes those parts of your brain that too many of us let atrophe once we're no longer in math class.
The subject matter might be ok for teenagers or kids (mild murder mystery story), but as an adult I'm having a great time with this game, its pace and its reward structure.
Lot of puzzles and lots of fun!

I bought this with a Cobalt/Black DS Lite to get a free hard case. I was doubtful but this game is great. It has many, many, many puzzles of all different styles. Some of them are real stumpers. You can find coins along the way which can be used to buy up to 3 hints per puzzle. Spend your coins wisely though because you don't want to run out. This definitely made the purchase of the DS Lite worthwhile.
Great game, perfect for DS

I hadn't picked up my DS in two months but seeing reviews for this I decided to try it. Now I can't put it down! I've spent 2 hours the last two nights playing this and it's a blast. The puzzles are hard but not impossible; some are silly but that's to be expected. The story is ok, but it does add something that the Brain Age (which I like) type games don't have. If you love puzzles and riddles, don't let the kiddie look fool you. This game is just as good for adults, maybe better, than it is for kids. Dust off that DS and give it a try.

Literally had me glued to my DS for days! I wouldn't necessarily recommend this game to people who are more into action/slashing-everything-that's-in-front-of-you types of games. But for those of you who tend to enjoy the narrative aspect of video games (like me), this is definitely for you! Not only is the story in this game interesting - the artwork is really superb (although, limited only by the resolution of the DS system). At times, it really felt like I was watching a fun, little anime (Japanese animation). The puzzles in the game are pretty fun and challenging also (the puzzles work to unlock more parts of the story and further your progress). I want to liken them to a mix of things you find in a puzzle book and logic questions on standardized tests. Believe me, if you're into any of the things I mentioned above, you will not be bored.
The clock on the game says that it took me about 15 hours to complete it. It might seem short for some people, but remember that this is a game designed for the DS (a handheld/mobile gaming system). If I spent any more time playing this game, I would probably still be sitting in my dark, little room playing it instead of going about my day or writing this review.
A puzzle game with a storyline!

I've never played this type of a game before where you have a story and solve variety of puzzles! I've always played games period. Never a game-story.
This one is like a story, you go through town looking for clues to solve cases such as where did the cat go, who killed Ramon, lost wristwatch...etc. Along the story, you solve mini puzzles along the way to keep you amused. This is so much fun!
I said to myself, I don't like to read on my DS. I read books and then use my Nintendo DS to play. I was little wary about this game because there is alot of reading to do but I was surprised that I liked it. Very creative game with a plot!
I'd like to know if there are any other games out there like this? I want more!! More!!

This game is an excellent example of the classic puzzle game, with some adventure game elements added on for storytelling purposes. If you, or someone you know, enjoys puzzle games, or books of puzzles, or just typical mind teasers, this is the game for them. Really worth the purchase.

I just loved this game. I got it because I saw a good review on it, and the guy at Walmart said it was a popular game. It was so much fun! The puzzles really make you use your brain. Some of them I was walking around the whole day trying to figure them out on paper and in my head. I LOVED the little video clips through out it! (I just wish there was a few more). I think it is a game good for a lot of ages. My 10 year old brother loves it, but I don't think my 9 year old sister could do them. I think even my parents would enjoy it (I am 21 and my 16 year old sister likes it too). I can NOT wait for the next Professor Layton game! You know, this game would make a very fun tv show...
