Brings a whole new perspective to mobster games

This game was a big surprise; I thought it was just going to be another GTA3 with motorcycles. Well in away it was but with a few more upgrades. You can do everything that you can in the third one but now you can fly helicopters, pose as a police officer, get your own mansion etc... A little ways into the game I thought this game is just like GTA3 and it started to get kind of boring then I passed the Diaz missions and got my own mansion then I found you could buy more property. Each property has it's own set of missions that you have to complete to have them generate money and when you buy a piece of property guys with machine guns will appear on them, these are your guys (You get your own thugs!) the fact that you get your own thugs has to be one of the best part of the game. Fast cars, your own thugs and a whole lot of explosions, who wouldn't want this game?

A side note, this game had two really awesome missions, the first was the Porn film studious bike mission, I think it was the last, you go into a building ride the elevator to whatever floor line up your bike and floor it out an office window. If you were wondering why a large building would have a giant square in it well now you know.

The Second cool mission was the last on of the Malibu's Club, you have four guys and you all plan a bank robbery (Not much more to explain here).

If you have never played the third Grand Theft Auto don't bother just go out and but Vice City.

It is the best Game ever! you jack all sorts of cars and the story is great I advise you to get it!!!!!

My husband bought this game, and after watching him play for a short time, I realized I wanted to give it a try! Addicted from the beginning!
We play this game alone and together, and we've been playing it a few weeks now, and we've barely scratched the surface as far as things that can be done - missions, etc.
The entire "city" is huge, with GREAT graphics and layout. I love cruising the streets listening to the many radio stations. This game is a winner! You will NOT be disappointed.

Twice as good as GTA3

if youve played GTA3 than you probably think you know what to expect... think again this game far surpasses it predessor in every aspect, from the graphics to all the funny little details.
there is so much to do from chillin by the waterfront watching the rollerchicks skate by, cruisin around on a harley and even takin to the skies in a chopper. also the police have got a whole new set of tactics including swat style hellicopter drops. there is so much to this game and none of it is dissapointing, you will not be sorry if you buy this game...nuff said

The thing I liked best about the last game (GTA 2) was the driving aspect of the game. It was very realistic and fun. Not so with this game. It feels like an arcade game when you are driving any vehicle. Also the crashing sound of cars hitting things sounds fake and tinny. The last game had much better sound effects in this regard.

I don't get the hype. I admit I am not a huge fan of the "gangster" genre but there are several things that are really just average about this game. First the graphics quality is quite below average. The gameplay to me (my opinion only) is quite boring. Yes you can go around a punch people and run them over with a car but after a while, its actually quite boring. Anyways I am sure many people will like this game but there are clearly much better games out there.

the game is a near exact replica of grand theft auto III with the exception of the addition of motocycles and helicopters. the graphics are the same.. IF NOT WORSE than the original. there is only one city and there was very little done to make this game better. i dont understand why it gets the reviews it gets
