THIS GAME NEEDS TO GO OUT LIKE THE NINTENDO 64. By now I thought for the 4th installment graphis will improve like the great resident evil, silent hill, devilmay cry and so on. If you want to shoot Pigs a.k.a cops, or humans, buy resident evil 3 zombie pigs everywhere at leats your not killing live pigs. This game over all is not a worse game but it doesnt deserve to be the game of theyear. give me a break. If looking for a challenge lots of guns/ graphics buy resident evil 0. Dont recommended. flush down the train

Grand Theft Auto Vice City is good don't get me wrong but its not as good as it could have been the missions are way way to easy I went through 19 missions without failing one and that was only in the first hour of renting it didnt need cheats or any thing this game would be great if you hadnt played Grand Theft auto 3 first but the in vice city the missions dont build on each other their jaust pointless it gets extremely boring to play this game if you dont believe me rent it but if want a great game get Grand Theft Auto 3.

This game is not for the weak of heart, but any serious gamer needs to play this game, because there is nothing like it. Warning: totally violent, and if that is not your bag, move on. The graphics and the whole concept of Vice City are beyond anything else that is out there. The whole, "Miami Vice" scene will play well with gamers of all ages. I have never seen a game series that can involve a whole room of people, its like the whole room gets into the game. This is a new reality of gaming, and that cannot be denied. Warning: Completly addictive and time consuming, but then again if you are reading this, you really don't care!

I had never played any of the other GTA games, but knew the concept. I heard all the hype surrounding 'Vice City', so I pre-ordered the game. My copy arrived on my doorstep on Saturday. I immediately ripped open the Amazon box and put the game in my PS2. After running around and wasting a few innocent bystanders, carjacking a few cars, and running from the police, I finally realized that I was supposed to be on a mission (the instructions aren't real clear on the exact goal of the game). Being a first time player, it was a good way to get a feel for the controls though.
Following the blips on the map in the lower left corner, I next started working on the missions. Then I got a hundred dollars for completing my first mission. I was hooked. I then began completing the other missions. Who needs instructions? It was really easy to get the hang of playing this game. Basically you're guided from one task to other, whether it be roughing up some jurors or chasing the pizza delivery guy. During these tasks you have to avoid being arrested or killed.
This is easily the best game I've played for PS2 or GameCube in over a year. The graphics are exceptional, the animation is top-notch, and the whole experience is intense. I would recommend this game to anyone over the age of 16 (contains adult language, not to mention loads and loads of crime and violence); plus if you've never seen an episode of Miami Vice, you won't appreciate the details of the game as much.
The best GTA game yet....

This game is by far the best in the GTA series. The graphics and audio are great. The music is actual tunes from the '80's and you feel like your in the TV show Miami Vice. Warning: the game is addictive. Also, children should not be allowed to watch or play this game....it is graphic.
The Ultimate Time Burglar, No Doubt...

I own GTA3, and the countless hours that it has taken from me have not been in vain. It's surely one of the only games that, even after I completed the various missions and storylines, I continue to play to this day. Whether it be to take out my aggression that gets built up by driving on the road with idiots every day, or just to have a little fun, there's really been no disappointment from GTA3 (other than wanting like mad to be able to fly that chopper...)
Given that, coupled with the fact that the GTA Vice City VirtuaEnvironment is, according to Rockstar, 3 times the size of GTA3's (which was huge in and of itself), and given the fact that we will have more interior environments, and will have things like motorcycles and helicopters and more (real) music and more weapons and more cars...could there possibly be a downside to this game?
I can think of only one: after the release date, my girlfriend and my interests in furniture-making, wine and cooking are going to see alot less of me. Hey, at least I'm honest! So, what can I say? If you enjoy doing other things, then steer clear of this baby. It's sure to be the ultimate time burglar. Is that a bad thing? Depends...

Grand Theft Auto has it all. Robbery, violence, and a storyline that is well developed. A drug deal goes bad and you need to make it right. I must say this is a good game to play and it is challenging. The gore is realistic so you may want to keep young kids away.

This game is controversial, violent, anti-social, and completely brilliant. From the detailed city streets that comprise your virtual playground to the weapons, cars, and characters who'll shape the actions you make, this game provides seemingly limitless opportunity to let our imaginations run wild and fulfill those dirty, unfulfilled desires that resound in the shadow of our being.
How you play this game is totally up to you. You can fulfill the quest of Tommy Vercetti and proceed to destroy your enemies and own the whole of Vice City. Or, you can spend hours wreaking havoc on the innocent masses with cars, motorcycles, guns, chainsaws, knives, swords, even golfclubs. Or you can span the town putting out fires in a stolen fire engine, rescue lives via the hospital's ambulance, or take the law into your own hands in a vigilante killing spree. You can even be a pizza delivery boy. The structure of this game relies solely on what you want to do. Do you need a plot? The game leaves that question up to the player, a thing almost blasphemous to most titles.
Overall, I would argue that this title is nothing short of revolutionary. It will change the way we think about video games and is one title that truly entertains the medium of our imagination.
