GTA vice city is a great game. The missions are fun and the voice acting is great. GTA 4 is gonna be the best game ever!!!!!

Playstation 2 has to be commended for creating a classic, such as Grant Theft Auto: Vice City. The graphics are excellent, the story is very descriptive and detailed and the characters are fun to listen to.

One slight negative to the game is that it can be VERY addictive. Once you are thrusted into the action, it is too good to stop. One mission that's trouble for me so far is the mission when Tommy uses a toy helicopter to blow up a nearby building. Once I master the movements of the helicopter, I should be able to accomplish the mission. Right now, I just finished the mission when Tommy and Lance kill Diaz (a spoiler for people who haven't played the game yet). The architecture of the building is very similar to an infamous movie (Scarface). Like I said, the game can be addictive.

Another huge plus is the radio stations. Some of the major hits from the 80s are in the game. And also listen to the radio chat stations, especially KCHAT. The characters in the radio show are downright hilarious. Also, the radio commercials are funny.

Another huge hit from Rockstar Games. Hopefully, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will follow up to the Grand Theft Auto series. Enjoy.

This game was good but I think it was a little overrated one thing i didnt like about it was that it was too small of a city in gta 3 at least the city was big and you could ride around after you were done beating it.

Every thing is great in Grand Theft auto Vice City. The graphics are really good in Vice City. I like this game so much because the missions are challenging. My favorite mission is rub out. I like the cars in the game my favorite is the Ferrari. It is one of the fastest in the game. I like all the weapons that you can get. I also like how you can buy condos and buy business. You make money every day after you complete all the missions for the business. My favorite mission is the car show. This is a really great game and I think people should buy it.

Vice City is a must have game

Vice City is the greatest game ever both on the Xbox and PS2. If you own either one of these systems this game is a must have for your collection.

Despite all of the controversy over its violent content, the Grand Theft Auto series of videogames deliver time after time with the best entertainment bang for your buck. In my opinion Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is the best game out of the series so far. Yes, the missions are a bit easier than those in San Andreas, but Vice City is a better overall experience. The setting is beautiful, there are more properties that you can own, and the automotive,firearm and weapon selections are also quite large. The soundtrack to this game is amazing. From 80's pop to metal to old school rap and hillarious talk radio, its all here. Grand Theft Auto is the greatest videogame series ever because it combines fun, challenges, and elements of real life triumphs and consequences in one well produced package.

Wow, Vice City is a f**king awesome game, a huge improvement over the killer GTA3. I love all the refrences and similarities to Scarface and Carlito's Way. Any fan of those 2 movies will appreciate this game! A real classic right here!

A Clear Improvement from GTA3

GTA3 was a great game and the bar was set pretty high. Vice City, however, has blown it out of the water.

First things first-this game is NOT for kids. It contains violence, obscenity, all the adult content of an R-rated movie. No children should be playing this game!

Now that we've got that out of the way, it should be noted how great the game is.

The great thing about GTA games is their freedom and flexibility. The main focus of the game is on its entertaining missions, during which you make money for yourself, expand your criminal empire, all while punishing the other criminals of Vice City and avoiding police scrutiny. These missions can be started at your discretion. In the meantime, you are always free to walk/drive around the city performing various other functions, such as taxi/pizza delivery/fire/ambulance/police missions, finding ramps off of which to perform unique vehicle stunt jumps, sticking up local stores, or anything else you like.

Improvements on this game from GTA3 include

--Celebrity voice-overs, including Ray Liotta, Philip Michael Thomas (vastly underrated), Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper, and my favorite, Gary Busey.

--A police force which is more difficult to elude.

--Gangs which are easier to deal with. I hated that after I had finished the GTA3 missions, I couldn't drive around much without being assaulted by gangs which I had previously taken care of.

--The ability to buy and control asset properties in order to generate income.

--The ability to fly helicopters and planes.

No video game is perfect, and there are still some things I would like to see improved. One frustrating aspect it the clunky method of switching between weapons. I can't tell you how many times I tried to switch to my rocket launcher, only to switch to the wrong weapon and pay dearly for it. I also didn't like how the radio stations were too monochromatic and didn't have as much contrast as before.

If you don't mind violence, you will love Vice City. It's certainly easy to find now at a great price, and I recommend it

The only thing about Vice City that made me mad, was that it didn't have that classic GTA feeling. GTA 3 was great at that, the nice Mafia feeling made it a great game. Even though the story is a lot better told in this game, it's not really much different from 3, when it comes to Graphics and Gameplay. Story is really the only Major difference. I don't think the city length is as big as 3 but i think it does have more depth, you can go into more places. It is a great addition, but again, don't expect something totally different then 3 because you are expecting too much, it is just as good and is pretty fun.

I've never had so much fun on my PS2! This game is full of life and interactions. Cool cars. Awesome graphics. BUY IT!
