Many new things to this recent incarnation of GTA. The slow-down frame rate at times is annoying, but does not detract from the game. It's sheer size fightens me - los santos is about the size of vice sity without the addition of country side in between.

ok so I am 14 A VERY MATURE 14 YEAROLD anyway ill admit this game IS VIOLENT but isnt everything nowadays? I dont think this game is for kids 16 and under that are not me that is..lol..anyway this game KICKS ASS n the whole WEST COAST THANG IS WATS POPPIN SON..the missions are sick as hell u can customize ur character to dress gangsta wearing headbands chains watches etc ALL REPPIN UR GANGS COLOR GREEN! overall this game in my opinon is one of the best games TO DATE will rockstar live up to its potential? HELLZZ YEAS P.S. The Evolution of Video Gaming

Finally we have Grant Theft Auto: San Andreas. In most ways, this is the best game in the GTA series simply by default. Two years in the making, San Andreas boasts the biggest, baddest and coolest video gaming experience of all time. You are Carl Johnson, or simply CJ, who has returned home to Los Santos to bury his mother. Once there, all hell breaks loose, in typical GTA fashion and the rest result in the evolution of video gaming. You want to do the normal storyline missions and beat the game, cool. But that is just the bulk of this monster. There are side missions, which when completed turn into assests for CJ. You can go have some lunch, get your hair cut, buy clothes, even equip yourself with some gangsta tatooes. San Andreas is more like The Sims franchise rather than the GTA tagline. There are hundreds of cars, motorcylces, boats and characters you interact with throughout this indepth game. You will meet characters from the previous GTA games, which in my opinion, is the coolest part of this game. There are some flaws, but none as surprising as the game's plot. The storyline is typical, but for some reason, Rockstar chooses to end the game without any real answers. We never do find out who killed CJ's mother. All the twists and turns along the way seem pointless and contrived and in a way they are. What is the point of CJ's odyssey across the entire county of San Andreas? Tommy Vercetti takes over all of Vice City at the conclusion of his game. The Guy seeks his revenge and moves on. CJ you ask? Well he simply returns to the hood he was dismissed from in the earlier portions of the game. When his brother Sweet says that CJ is selfish in a way he is correct. CJ's ventures in Las Ventures and San Fierro seem to be for his own personal gain. All of which don't apparently matter at the game's conclusion. Even with this major flaw, GTA: San Andreas is hands down the video game of the year for 2004. It marks another step in the revolutionary Grand Theft Auto series, leading to the unthinkable next installment. Oh and if you're still asking which game I think is the best out of the series, well, you'll just have to wait until the series is complete to get that answer...

My 'Half-thought' On GTA:SA

I loved the first one, and so naturally I *had* to try this one. After playing with it for a few hours, I was addicted.
I loved the new style, the way you have to gain 'muscle/driving skill/etc..' so you are the best. If you stop training, you lose stamina, muscle and you get fat. ;) (There's a lot more to go into about this but I don't want to ruin it.)
Oh another thing I loved was the fact that you can personalize your dude! I won't go into details, but it rocks!

Although I'm not finished the game yet (I don't want it to end so soon and wait for another GTA to come out ;_;), I think this game rocks and is worth buying if you liked/loved the first one.

Just recently I got into the grand theft series, so Ill give it straight. GTA III had the lore of doing rampages and performing tasks for random gangs. GTA Vice City had that + more mobility, and a stronger interaction with the city. Owning property and not to mention better graphics. Nevertheless, for the both GTAs the character was prety much a mute without much character.
As for GTA San Andreas, We now have a developped character who can obviously be percieved as a member of society. His story has dramatic sequences and it gives the impression that he is human. That is until the GTA kicks in, your killing black and Latino gang membres by the thousands (yes check your stats) and a fleet of white cops are out to get you. Character is much more vibrant with the customizing of wear, hair style and a personal inclination to sporadic cussing. Many have complained about a lack for better graphics compared to previous GTAs, this not the case. It is the case of an over developed character in an unrealistic platform.

YEAH THIS IS A GREAT GAME. I'M A 28 YEAR OLD MAN. SO THE GAME ISN'T FOR KIDS. GREAT GAMEPLAY. WONDERFUL GAME. BUY IT. ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE.

I THINK THIS IS WORTH THE MONEY 100 PERCENT. ONE OF THE FEW SUPER GAMES ON THE MARKET. ITS VERY DEEP. ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN HOW GREAT THE GAME WITHOUT ACTUALLY PLAYING IT.

IF YOU'RE OVER 18 BUY THIS NOW.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE MOTHERS AGAINST VOILENCE!!

The game of the year is what I label GTA San Andreas. The best game ever. [...] The Game was created to tell you what to do. Run for ur life when the main character is around. This Game was created to help kids like me to have the fun we DESERVE. I have not been desensitized by The Game. I hope This Game comes out on every other system so all people can experiece blinding fun. I hope all people get to experience This Game!! I hope the Mothers Against Voilence and all other organizations like that get locked in a movie room that has 6 year olds playing the game behind sound proof 2 way mirrors GET THIS GAME!! GET THIS GAME!! IT'S THE BEST !!IT'S THE BEST !!
