i like the idea of square enix letting you play three girls from this game. because it isn't fair that most of the main characters you play are guys. im a guy and i like girls which is the reason why i got this game. the graphics are as good as ffx. but the gameplay wasn't the best out there such the summons were gone and it's pretty hare to get 100%. anyway this game is pretty much worth your time.

i LOVE this game. let me tell you a LITTLE story how i played this game. I was at Hollywood Video Store/Rent. and i was looking in the game isle and i saw the sequel to FFX i decided to give it a try and when i did i was BLOWN. I was almost drooling... hehe... well at the beginning, when i started the game i sort of figured what good is a sequel with out the first part so i went out and bought FFX. My favorite thing(s) is the Dressing Change (not in the perverted way), and at the very beginning of the game when Yuna was singing "real Emotion", thats when i started to drool. well i hope u liked my review
bai bai (bye-bye in Japanese).

Speaking with my daughter she truly likes the game, but it appears as though the game targets girls only. I normally play various games with my children and played the first version as well. The first version seem to target boys and girls. Not that the main character had to be male, but all of the key characters are women and the men seem to be in the background. My son will not play this version. My daughter gave the fun portion 4 stars. I gave it 3 stars. She gave the overall rating 4 stars. I gave it the overall game 3 stars.
Decent and Adequately Satisfying

Initial Thought:
I had bought this game on a whim, and it was probably one of the best 'whims' I've done. At first, it was a little confusing, mostly because I had never played a Final Fantasy game before, but thanks to all my asian friends who love Final Fantasy, I gave it a shot. I was amazed with the graphics, initially. The voice actors were better than most Japanese dubbed products (They didn't pull a Sailor Moon). After a few weeks I finally finished the game with a 53%, and of course I started a 'New Game Plus' to finish it. I thought it was very odd that you had to do all of those side missions to actually FINISH the game. But oh well. To this day, I only have around 83%.
Storyline:
After saving the world of Spira from Sin, Yuna's boyfriend Tidus mysteriously dissapears back to his native land of Zanarkan. One of Yuna's guardians Rikku finds a sphere that has a man that resembles Tidus, so she runs off to search for more clues. Along the way, you'll encounture talking cactus', whiny bird lovers, and a poorly dressed jealous rival. Oh, and a giant contraption called Volde- erm, I mean Vegnagun.
Gameplay:
You assign your charactors 'jobs', such theifs, or warriors, and they act those out using 'dresspheres' during battles. The most pathetic one is the 'songstress', but along the way you will come across some very good ones, such as the Dark Knight, and the Mascot. The most annoying thing about the battle mode is that you have to wait for your ATB gauge to fill up before you can execute your next move. It's somewhat annoying to see your charactors be stabbed and just stand there, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Items:
Throughout the game, you can equip your party with accesories (this reminds me of Barbie...) to increase their physical attributes. The best ones are The Key to Success, Iron Duke (almost impossible to get), and Cat Nip. It's really bothersome you can only add two to each charactor, but I guess it's better than one. You can also add "Garment Grids", which are helpful in a similar way that the accesories are. I don't have that many, but the ones you will want to get yourself are Pride of the Sword, Chaos Mealstrom, Meggido, and "The End". It's really irritating that you have to pass through two or three nodes to make good use of some of them.
Overall:
A well put together game. It has some really corny missions, but aside from all of that, a worthy sequel to X. I reccomend it, but some people might not like it because it has a bit of a girly factor to it.
