Great game I am happy brought back more major characters than just Yuna and Rikku. Its like visiting old friends and catching up. I enjoy the new battle system and dress spheres a new twist that packs quite a punch!

This was my first time playing a Final Fantasy game and must this game was great. I loved it because it was story based and when you were fighting or just running aroung to different places in the game it still stuck to the story. The other cool things to make even better was you got to change outfits in battle and they would do it in a really cool way. Unlike some other games I played the characters have different personalities. You don't really had to of played Final Fantasy X to figure out the game either. But if you don't have a memory card you shoudn't play since if you lose a battle and you get game over you have to start all over again. Besides that it is AWESOME!!!!!!

Great but....

Alrighty, first, this game is awesome. The control functions are a little choppy but that soon is mastered. The real thing that made me give it a three star is my game in particular is defective. At certain points in the game, it freezes up and it did come scratched. It has gotten rather annoying so check to see if the actual disk has something wrong with it BEFORE you play. *sigh* maybe amazon should not sell scratched games but OH WELL they've been great up to this point.

Best Game Ever!!!!

Final Fantasy X-2 is the best out of the series yet.If you like RPG's you'll love this one. This is a must buy. The graphics are better than the other one's and the voices are much better. Instead of using a sphere grid system you gain levels by beating enemies. The higher the level the better the stats. You also change dressphers in the battle. Three words Final Fantasy X-2 Rocks

worth it?

when I finished this game, I was a bit confused about how something so unusual is normal to the characters. Anyway, excellent graphics, they brought back the old voice actors--even Tidus. one main difference is that the game flow is mission-based more than anything else. So it could get a bit choppy at times, and motivate you less to find out what happens next. Overall it's fun if you like doing missions and extra games and stuff. the percentage completion and six endings based on your completion threw me off though. if you get 100% completion (believe me, you need a walkthrough to do that) Yuna gets to...well, remember the ending scene of FFX? after the credits? Let's say Square enix knew they would be making a sequel when they finished FFX with that.

Funny..

This game is good for a laugh or two, I'm not against it, It's fun but if you are into the newer final fantasy games I reccommend getting crystal chronicles instead!

When I first saw advertisement of this game I thought it was all a bluff because Yuna had a completely different outfit on from FF10 and it was not her style at all. FF10 was definitely not the best of the series because it was depressing and all the systems in it was crap. The characters weren't new they all resembled those from previous games plus I hated the idea of protecting a useless person i.e. Yuna.

The most annoying thing about this game was that you run into so many monsters after you have walked only 2 steps. The locations are very plain compared to old Final Fantasy games (they all consists of just a straight line road). The battle system is awful even though it's a tad bit better than in FF10 can't they make it any better. the number of characters is disappointingly small. However, despite the flaws, I actually find this game a wonderful work of art that clearly shows how much the games have improved in terms of graphics(I have played all the ff series from 5). The FMVs in this game are absolutely stunning and beautiful. The main characters are beautiful (Paine is my favorite) and although I did not like Yuna at all from FF10 because she was a miserable git and looked weird with a sort of western and eastern beauty mixed together, I come to like her in this new series of her because she is better animated and looks more western which I think suits her more plus she is more positive.

If you haven't noticed there are slight differences in the FMVs between the Japanese and the American version of the game. In my opinion the American had done a better job than the Japanese for once. They cleaned up the animation very much and created a wonderful masterpiecepiece for example, the Real Emotion and 1000 words concert scenes. The dubbing was done very good as well, much better than in FF10. The story of the tragic lovers could have been done better but it is what makes this game very emotional which is further expressed by the 1000 words song.

The soundtrack is good as well, it is very positive and upbeat, although it is short. The songs are brilliant. 1000 words is the main song and it is a good one although I swear the main song gets longer from game to game. Real Emotion is the best song.

Play the game it is worth it but the FMVs are the best about this game, they are wonderful pieces of animation that are worth collecting and watching over and over again.

Okay, so some people don't like it that is their opinion. Are you just going to trust their words, I mean you haven't even triend the thing so you cannot judge it by other people's ratings. I love the game, and the FMV's(Full Motion Video) are just GREAT! The intro is awsome where Yuna, the main character starts singing on stage(Real Emotion and 1000 words are sang by Jade from SweetBox.) singing Real Emotion, but too bad it was- ergh. I don't want to spoil it for you! But my favorite character is Rikku, and also if you buy the stragety guide, you can master the game, well in a few trys at least! At least rent the game and try it, if you like it buy it! But do not judge on my words or someone elses words, you decide whether you like the game or not.
