Well... this is a pretty long chain of games and this is the first time a sequel is being made. To be honest, i'd rather have a new game with new characters. FFX was a ...good game, but the 2 before it were better.
I only want to make this point- every time people hear of a new ff coming out they say its not gonna be much good cos some stuff from the last one has been taken out. And then they actually play the game. Personally the idea of learning abilities from equipment worked great in ffIX-the best one yet- but some people dont like it that the sphere grid's gone.

Have faith in squaresoft, when they bring out a new ff, even if the old great things r missing, there'll be other things about it that will make it great. And when that stops happening, there'll be no more Final Fantasies.

Ok first of all they should make ff X2 with half femal and male characters not just female charactes in my opinion but...just having a great ff game is good enough for me after i played VIII
and X10 they were great games A+, but..i dont think they should make a squel it be much funner learning about new characters than not learning anything from old ones. X10 i spent over 100 hours on it over a year (i dont play much) but that was a very very good game so.....

And i hear its shorter

but i give 5 stars because everyone of ff games are fantastic :)

When SQUARE/ENIX joined forces, there were some good games which they made together and some bad ones. The good was "Final Fantasy Origins" which had the remakes for both FF1 & FF2(which hit the PSone last year) and "Sword of Mana" (a remake of "Final Fantasy ADVENTURE" on the GBA) And now for the bad: "Unlimited SaGa" with its terrible, boring board gameplay and this one! FFX-2 is a very weak sequel to FFX in the series and drags the series down greatly! Graphics are good, (though NOT everything) but the soundtrack is just poor for an RPG game and sounds too much like Brittany Spears/Christina Aguilera American Pop garbage! (And believe me, a FF title deserves better!) The plot is also uninteresting and there's really no story involved at all except for some stupid side quests, therefore making the replay value VERY low! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the first and ORIGINAL FFX on PS2, but the second one sucked! Yuna & Rikku are probably the only good thing about this game because they're both pretty cute. Otherwise, this is the WORST FF since Mystic Quest on the SNES console! Just skip this one and play the original FFX instead! It's 100% better!

Innovation anyone?

From what I've read, this is the most innovative Final Fantasy Game in existence. First off, it's the first continuation of a story. Many of the games, such as Final Fantasy IX, left their endings open for sequels, and Final Fantasy X is no exception. It is also the first female-led story in the series (unless you count FFVI). This is a great encouragement for female gamers. One can only hope that it's not too girl-powered to turn away male gamers. Second, the gameplay has been completely changed from the first one. Instead of the Sphere Grid :'( the job system has been resurected from FFV (if not FFTactics). This is the first 3-d FF game where the characters change before your eyes. The battles are now more active than ever in that they allow multiple characters to take action at once. Another great aspect is that you can JUMP. No more ramming into invisible barriers (is that good or bad?).
In any case, this game has much potential, and one can expect that it will sell rapidly simply because it's innovative (I, myself, have preorded it to ensure a copy. Now all we can do is pray that Square attempts to make a PREQUEL! May Yevon grant such wishes without restraint.

THis game really rocks if you have game magazines it will tell you that this game you have to rescue Tidus from FFXThe thing that I hate is you can only play as female chracters. there is another thing that bugs me is you can only play as 2 chracaters from FFX. I know that one name of the new character she is named Paine. She is kind of like LuLu from FFX because she has no sense of humor

Ok, first of all ever who rates this game lower than a 5 needs to shut thier pot hole. They don't know what they are talking about. The first Final Fantasty blow my mind. It was so good. The graphics were the best I ever seen on a game. There was no game that had more life like people, than Final Fantasty X. The game's mini movie things were like watch TV itself, it was so detailed. The gameplay shocked me at first, since it didn't have the tradtional leveling up system, but the aeons were so cool and so was the story. When I heard they were coming up with a FFX-2 I was schocked since it was the first direct sequel Squaresoft had made. (I think, if not first FF)

The graphics gives you the same thing, too. The story is going to be really good. I already seen a screen shot of this Yuna and Tidus look alikes and I'm dying to find out who are they, plus I wanna know who Paine is. There are some disadvantages, but I won't really mind since the game is going to be off the hook. There are no aeons, since Sin is dead. By the way Sin was done so good in FFX. Yuna becomes a gunner. Rikku looks uglier in braids, and she looked so pretty before. Rikku is way too showy with the way she dresses. There is no grid sphere either. There is no male character, though the new character should have been male, but they wanted it to be a all female.

Here are the advantages: You get to find out what happens to the plot and no other FF game made me what to find out what happened. There is no more Blitzball (I didn't like it), there is no Sin, yay! The first FF game with an all female party. The main character isn't male for those who didn't liked that. The level up the old fashion way. They can change their class, like a white mage, black mage, a new type trainer, a new type mascot, and many more. I hear it has a fast pace battle system, which is an advantage for those who like that. You can check spots above and below, which can mean more hidden stuff.

Overall any RPG fan, FF fan or anyone who even plays video games will love it. It's worth every penny! ^_^

Hmmmmmm, FF-X-2 a GREAT Game?.....Thumbs Up From Me!!

Well, firstly, the soundtrack to FF X-2 is nothing special at all, as many of you may or may not know, Nobou Uematsu diddnt work on the soundtrack for X-2, so we see a few 'un FF like' tracks emerge which i dont like at all. Secondly, FFX is one of the worst FF games in the series, it's dry storyline and linear gameplay dissappointed me, however if this has been changed, i beleive that it will have a look and feel for a 'Next Gen' FFVIII (VIII being one of my personal favorites). Having said this, in the run of things, VIII was one of the most hated FF games there was, so fans of the Fantasy aspect of Final Fantasy may be dissappointed, and hate it like many hated VIII.

With the first FF sequel almost here, its sure to say that weather the game is loved or hated, its not going to do badly from a selling point of view, i think that if the game aspects which made X so boring towards the end are fixed, and the music fits with the world arround it, FFX-2 is almost certainly going to be one of the best games available this year.

I recently went to Tokyo, but for some reason, I couldn't find FFX-2. But I looked in Bangkok, Thailand, and found the Japanese version at the Central mall. At the video game store, they let you play any game in stock for 1 hour for 60 baht. (about US 1.20)
So I played, Final Fantasy X-2, and even though it was in Japanese, I was able to get the gist of it, though the battle system was very complicated. I just can't believe the characters have such low HP! And, like FFX, FFX-2 hs amazing graphics, and you get to see a whole mesh of them at the beginning, not even counting the J-pop scene! Overall the game is spectacular, though I wish the females could cover up a bit more...Yuna's shirt is sooooo dilapidated...it's like it went through the shredder or something...

I just beat the game today, and it was absolutely amazing!! The music and graphics were great! plus, there are extra endings which you can only see if you did certain things in the game. If you liked Final Fantasy X, you should definitly buy this game.

I am a Final Fantasy Freak!!! I absolutly love all the Final Fantasy games but my favorite would have to be FFX because of the outstanding story line and out of this world graphics. So it makes me think about how FFX-2 will turn out!! imagin Squaresoft going another step from X!! This is going to be a awsome game and after long waiting after X I think its going to be the best b-day present ever! I know I'm a 13 year old girl and everything but hey I LOVE FINAL FANTASY!!
