There you go was'nt that helpful. The game does go to DBGT but the only thing in it is the fight against Omega Shenron. There's this place called Dragon Universe where 11 characters have story mode. And after you beat it with all 11 you get Dragon Arena where you can use anybody. You know how in world tournament you can't use fusion well if you play Dragon arena long enough you can get cell games in this there are no attack restrictions. If you read all of this you would want buy this game buy it it's worth it.

I started to have hope that they wouldn't make a Budokai 3. But when I heard it was coming out November 17, I almost fainted. I'm a DBZ fanatic and I've enjoyed 1 and 2. For the guy that asked about the trailor, try going to Dragonballz.com and chack out the screenshots. I'm hoping for these changes:
-Lose dragon world
-Give Yamcha a Hyper Kamehameha Attack
-Give Tien his Tri-Beam Attack and lose that sorry ass Volleyball Fist
-Pikkon would be availiable
-Most of the chracters from GT on there
I sincerely hope those are the changes that I expect. If not, then I could problbly understand, but if that irritating Volleyball Fist is on there again, I will be devastated.

Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 (2004.) The third game in the Dragonball Z Budokai series.
The Dragonball Z series has always been one of my favorite animes. It combines fast-paced action and adventure with an amazing amount of depth, making it one of the most universally-appealing animes out there. Unfortunately, since the series really had no audience prior to 1995 outside of Japan and its neighboring nations, so American audiences missed out on most of the games based on the series. But with the series breaking into the mainstream circa 2000 due to its being aired on Cartoon Network, games started being released in America. Not just older, previously-released games, but also entirely new games! These were hit and miss, for the most part, but the Budokai series of games was by far the best of these new games. The first and second games in the series, despite their flaws, were solid games through and through. And in 2004, a third installment arrived! Read on for my review of Budokai 3.
Essentially, Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 continues with what the previous two Budokai games started. What you get is a fast-paced fighting game that, for the most part, recaptures the excitement and energy of the anime series. You can choose from a plethora of different characters from the series, and no two characters play exactly alike. Only further adding to this aspect of the game is the fact that you can unlock a TON of characters. While you start the game with plenty of characters, there are a lot of them to be unlocked, including some characters that are only in the movies! There are also the usual gameplay modes, including the standard versus mode and the tournaments in which you can earn money to buy capsules. Using these capsules, you can customize characters to your liking - so whether you prefer offense, defense, or something somewhere in between, you'll be able to create a version of a character that will work out great for you. As for the story mode, this game has a MUCH better one than either earlier Budokai game. What you get here is something called Dragon Universe, in which you choose a character and essentially play through the story of Dragonball Z from that character's point of view. As you travel, you gain experience you can use to upgrade the character. As for the actual fighting itself, it hasn't changed a whole lot. It plays mostly like the earlier two Budokai games, but there have been some new features added into the combat, to keep thing fast-paced and interesting. I was glad to see the inclusion of a step-by-step training mode, since learning the game can be a little tricky for anyone new to this series, or new to the concepts this game in the series introduces. The cel-shaded graphics are also great. I'm not a huge fan of cel-shading, but the guys that made this game knew what they were doing. THIS is the way cel-shading should be done! But, as you probably guessed, the game isn't perfect. If you didn't like either of the first two Budokai games, it's highly unlikely that this one will change your mind, due to the fact that it pretty much plays the same. Likewise, some of the flaws from the older games weren't fixed (nothing serious, fortunately.) Fortunately, the good outweighs the bad, and for the most part, Budokai 3 is a triumph for Dragonball Z games. It's nothing terribly revolutionary in the fighting game world, but it's a solid game through and through.
Since this game is a recent release, it is readily available in most stores that sell video games for the Playstation 2. And since the manufacturer's suggested retail price has just dropped from $50 to $40, you've got all the more reason to buy it now if you're a Dragonball Z fan!
If you're a fan of Dragonball Z and you enjoyed the previous two Budokai games, you'll enjoy this one too. It's not a massive improvement over the earlier games, but everything does come together rather nicely, making it the finest installment in the series thusfar. This is a game that's well worth purchasing, and you're likely to agree - it's the best Budokai so far.

I would like to say this is a awsome game. I would know because I am the best there ever was at Budokai 1, 2 and going to be at 3. No one in the world can beat me at this game. I was in a tournement with this game at EB Games and I won first place. There were 57 people there and I beat every one that I went up againts. Take it from the master, buy this game!
If you do believe that you can beat me in this game ( which you can't ) then say that this review was helpful to you. Judging by how many people it helped it will tell me how many people think they can and can't beat me. If you say NO then that means you admit that i'm the best at this game and the best person at video games that ever lived!!!!!

This game is great, I started it just to get an idea of how it played and couldn't stop playing. As a big fan of the DB series, this is by far the best DB themed game I have ever played. The fighting engine is very similar to the previous Budokai games, with the addition of the Hyper mode and the Dragon Rush mode. Like in the previous games, you can customize your characters with capsules, which also affect the abilities of the two additional modes. For example, with Goku, you do a normal Hyper mode Dragon Rush, in which he will use a flurry of Ki blasts, or equip the Warp Kamehameha and upon successfully launching a Dragon Rush, he will use that technique instead. The Dragon Universe is a very simplified RPG game that follows the DBZ storyline very linearly, in which all major battles are fought. These can be done through the role of different characters. Overall the playability is simple to get a handle on, and like in Budokai 2, there is a training mode to familiarize you with the controls. With over 40 different DBZ characters to discover (I have only found a handful so far) there is a lot of different matchups. I was impressed to see additions from the DBZ movies, such as Bardock, Cooler, and Brolly, as well as DBGT characters. If your a diehard DBZ fan, I highly recommend this game.
