As long time RPG gamers - both computer and old-pencil-and-paper, we came into WoW through a friend who suggested we try it after the NWN2 fiasco.

We love Role Play, we love action, we love all aspects.

WoW delivers! The graphics are decent and unique. Great for immersion. Why you ask - because they aren't top of the line cutting edge! The game runs decently on every computer we've tried it on down to laptops with 4mb video ram (ok their frame rate sinks but still decent game play!)

Role play - if you're on a decent RP server, is awesome! We're having a ball.

Characters - each race/class has decent lore and the world lore is engaging (if sometimes conflicting). We like the fact that the "bad guys" aka Horde aren't so much "bad". Everything is perspective. Very adult concepts, which make for a very fun framework.

Servers - be a bit careful about which servers you play on. You'll need to choose based on PvP (player vs. player) or PvE (player vs. environment) or RP (role play). We much prefer RP, and when we want to beat on other players there's always the battlegrounds and/or world pvp (groups of players attacking cities and such). But figure the environment that you will enjoy the most and don't be afraid to abandon one realm/server for another style to try it out.

Well worth the entertainment expense for us!

This game can hold your interest for a long time. There are many aspects to it and you can play it anyway you like. There are provisions in the game for those who only play occasionally, yet there seem to be people playing that do nothing else.

quite lengthy!

Everyone likes to compare this game to EverQuest, and with good reason. The amount of time it will take to completely finish this game is incredible. You will NOT get bored with this game any time soon.

The difficulty in this game is pretty hard, but not quite as tough as EverQuest. I don't know why, really.

All the quests and features that are included in this game are guaranteed to satisfy you for a very long time. I really recommend this game to everyone. You will NOT grow bored with World of Warcraft.

Definitely a great game. Recommend everybody should at least try it out. 7 million subscribers are not wrong. Don't listen to the naysayers from other games, they just wish their game was actually popular. Popularity does denote quality, this game is high quality!

World of Warcraft is a good game. Online interaction with other players gives more fun than regular games. Easily addicted. I played almost everyday since I started a year ago. 1 hour - 10 hours a day. Language used is OK for kids.

Expansive world with lots to discover but be prepared to devote hard earned time and money

The fact that World of Warcraft has 2 continents and several zones on each makes playing WoW an enjoyable but addictive and time consuming experience. Any rewards worth mentioning only materialize after hours of game time. With WoW the more time devoted translates into a higher level for your character through constant exploration of the picturesque terrain and monster killing. Not to mention high lvl dungeon instances which can only be accomplished by joining others and forming groups or raids. Overall the game would be a lot more fun if the monthly subscription price tag of $15 were reduced a bit.

World of Warcraft: dangerously addictive!

I avoided purchasing and playing this game for a long time, mainly because I did not like the idea of paying a subscription fee per month to play. But eventually, my nephew convinced me to try a free 10 day trial, and that was it: I was hooked! This game truly is a blast to play, and I can see why millions are subscribing monthly to play. Blizzard has successfuly created an alternative reality, where magic, dwarves, elves and other bizarre creatures roam a starnge and beautiful world. And the world is vast, and continues to evolve. It is fun to do the quests, fight the battles, find new items, and discover new places, but it is the interaction between other "live" players that makes the game truly fun. I suppose in a way, it is much like "the Sims", only in a much more fantastic and fairytale-like environment. If you like this kind D&D type game, then WOW is the ultimate way to enjoy it. Yeah it still sucks that a monthly fee has to be payed to continue to play, but (and I hate to say it) it seems worth it! As long as the game continues to be fun and keep me coming back, I'll pay (though I wish it was just a little cheaper: like under $10 a month). I play an average of about 10 to 20 hours a week, so at 15 hours a week (or 60 hours a month) that breaks down to about $.25 an hour, which is pretty cheap entertainment. Eventually, though, it'll probably be the ongoing monthly cost that makes me stop playing. So the bad things about the game: it is highly addictive and requires a monthly fee to keep playing. The good things about the game: there is real interaction in a simulated fantastic world, with real people, and, of course, it's a lot of fun!

I have been playing Star Wars Galaxies for two years and watched that beautiful thing fall like a angel, my friend kept telling me to try this game. I was bored one day and decided to download the trial...holy cow. There is just something about this game...the world is massive, there is so much to do. Yeah some of the starter quests are the same but they pace them and place them in a way that it doesn't get boring or take the fun out.

After about a day or so I found myself hooked on the game, it can be VERY easy to get to hooked on it so I have to be careful and limit my gaming time. What I love about it is you can hop in, do a quick quest to get your fix and hop out...I love it. This is the way MMORPG's should be.

Excellent game. The one vice I have with it is the younger (18 and younger) people playing it. But other than that, excellent game with excellent graphics.
