Bully isn't your typical video game. I can't think of another game like it, in fact. It's sort of violent, but I don't think the violence is anything to worry about. I like the idea of the main character (named Jimmy) having to gain respect from his classmates by pulling pranks. You can perform pranks such as the slingshot (long-time favorite!) and even a bomb in the toilet, if you wish.
The game mainly encourages you to fight the bullies head on. This is pretty interesting for those who grew up being picked on. Hey, if you're attending school now and you're having trouble with a bully, check out this game to fight back!
Anyway, this game certainly has interesting gameplay. It's unique.
Rockstar has done it again-for the 6th time......

Wow, Rockstar never seems to bring out a dud; from Smugglers Run to Midnight Club to Manhunt to The Warriors to (oh, who can forget?) Grand Theft Auto Now they`ve got the most controversal game of all time. My mom forst me to go to sum lame church meeting and this old lady-ill call her Bag-was blabbing on how this game encourges kids to kill other students-yet the game the opposite! Just goes to show ya how bags can blow things out of proportion-Dont we have bigger things to worry about?*cough iran cough*
A really really really fun game

Bully isn't a game for kids, I mean since it's a bad example for them. I mean you can cause trouble in school by throwing stink bombs or eggs at people. Plus you get missions like having to steal panties from the girls dorm for...the gym teacher lol. It also doesn't teach you to go by school rules. Infact you get many missions to break school rules. As someone old enough to not to do what I see on the game though it's a blast. I mean I thought it was a game where you are in school the whole time. But no you can even get out to town eventually and even have missions there. The school stuff is fun but you can get tired of only being there. I also like how the game is seasonal and how it's Halloween on one part and Christmas on another part.
Without doing the missions you just have class or can flirt with girls or start random fights, or pick locks to lockers. Plus you can start fights with those hallway geeks who chase you around if you are even a second late for class. They then bring you to class if they catch you. With all the Grand Theft Auto games basically all seeming exactly the same despite different missions it's nice to see a fresh game from Rock Star Games. I wouldn't recommed this to any parent to pick up for their kid though. Well unless they are in their 20's lol and mature enough to not do what they see in the game.
Fantastic

With the PS2's lifespan dwindling down, the list of games coming out for the system aren't anything too special (with a few exceptions, such as Okami and God Hand), but leave it to Rockstar to come up with another smashing, and controversial, game to rock the PS2. Bully takes the Rockstar formula of gameplay and inserts it into a different setting this time: a crooked boarding school. You play as Jimmy Hopkins, a very mischevious kid who gets dumped at Bullworth Academy by his mother and is left to fend for himself and deal with the clueless staff, and ruthless fellow students. As an outcast of the school, Jimmy must attend classes, learn to fight bullies, and tricking and antagonizing the different cliques that run the school. What makes Bully stand above and beyond the rest of the pack is that the game makes the most of it's setting with well done cut-scenes, great voice acting and music, and a storyline that manages to be mature without throwing in a bunch of cursing and sex, yet still manages to draw enough controversey because of it's content. The graphics engine isn't the most attractive, but it does the job, while the rest of Bully is superbly done. Offering challenging and innovative gameplay and a lengthy story, Bully is a real treat for PS2 owners looking to get something great out of their aging system.
A fun title with a great engine.

I was excited to hear they were using the GTA engine for this game. Creating a massive environment with many different chracters brings out a life that is reminesent of high school. The main chracter can be played so many ways and it's fun just to have fun. If you are looking for a somewhat less violent version of GTA with the same type of environments look no further.
Jampacked!!!!! (look at any other review for story info)

my god, there so much to do in this game `sides the story mode. You wanna get a job? go for it; if flippin burgers, running paper routes, or mowing peoples lawns is your thing. Wanna gamble? go for it. bet on fights, games, or races anytime. Wanna waste money? go for it. You can spend money at the clothing store, comic book shop or carnavle rides anytime. Wanna hit the arcades? go for it. Theres tons of arcades to waste hours on.
This game is awsome, period(.)

I loved this game when I laid eyes on it. My friend had introduced this game to me about a year ago. I had thought I had to get this game, I HAD TO! This year on my birthday, my aunt, uncle, and cousin sent me a gift card for Amazon.com. I said "I'm going to get BULLY!" The person that sold me the game, sent me everything that the original game would have in the box[game case]. I have to thank two people. One, my friend, and two, the seller. Thanks so much guys! Anyway, the game keeps you busy for a good amount of time, it's fun, it's fun, and it's FUN! Down right, straight up, plain, fun! So, please take my word for it! Buy the game!
(please note: if you want the map/poster, game guide and a game in good condition, buy from NEW or LIKE NEW[used])
A lot of fun, but too short and too easy

This game was a lot of fun, you can do so much and the dark humor was great. The only gripe I have is that it was just way to short and easy. I easily beat this game in about 3 days, and I still have 2 days left on my rental. I would say rent this game, because you can easily beat it within a week.
So overall, here is a break down of the Pros and Cons.
Pros:
-Playing pranks on students
-The missions are a lot of fun
-The side missions are also a lot of fun, bring more to the story
-Good Dark Comedy, like all other Rockstar games
-Unlocking funny constumes, like the black ninja costume to stay out past curfew
-All the different Cliques were great, and being able to beat up and bully anybody is a lot of fun
Cons:
-Just way too easy, the missions can be beaten very easily.
-Incredibly short, nothing like the Grand Theft Auto Games where it can take a month to unlock everything, I was able to unlock everything in 3 days.
-Would've loved to see some of the same things from GTA:SA in Bully. EX: In GTA:SA you are able to have gang members follow you and do what you want. It would've been great to see that in Bully.
Overall: I would suggest renting, a lot of fun, but easily beaten, not worth $50.
Fun and entertaining, but a little too easy.

I enjoyed most aspects of this game and it quickly becaming addicting. There was great satisfaction is beating people up and plenty of opportunity to fine tune my skills. Overall though, this game was definately on the easy side. Compared to the Grand Theft Auto games, of which I was never able to complete, I finished this one in just over a week. The final challenge was particularly simple and I really expected more. Still, I'd recommened this game, however rent it, don't buy.
Great Game!!

This is actually the most fun I have had with a PS2 game. This game is very fun. It is not a "Columbine Simulator" as some critics have dub it. There is no blood, guns, knives, or death. There is violence in the form of fist fighting, shoving, using a slingshot, baseball bat, marbles, firecracker, etc. The weapons (bat, yardstick) can only be used a little before they break. The bullies that you beat down end up on the ground just writhing in pain. You are the main character, Jimmy Hopkins, and you have to go to class or you become truant. You can break curfew, trespass, and earn respect with the school "clicks." If you get "busted" several times you go to detention. Very tongue and cheek. Rockstar has done it again with another great game to go along with the GTA franchise. This one is better because it can be played by younger gamers. Bully is well worth the $[...] price tag. I hope that it comes out for PC because in my house we fight over who plays next!
