I'll admit that the gameplay and graphics were incredible but the game as a whole was just to darn hard! Nearly everytime i turned around i had to go to a website to find how to get out of someplace. It's also too long. I perfer games like Mario where the levels are orginized with a map but here it's just all laid out at once and it take you ten minutes to get from one side of the world to the other. For the serious gamers(the ones who collect Pokemon cards and dress up as Link for halloween) I'd tell them to buy this but for the average games(who live a life outside of video games)I'd highly recommend Mario 2 or Yoshi's Island.
Waste of money

What a waste of money, this game is the same thing as the one for the original gameboy. That one is probably half the price maybe less.

AWESOME GAME! ALL ZELDA GAMES ARE AMAZING AND THIS ONE DOESN"T LET YOU DOWN! Graphics are fine for a GBA game and the plot is great. This game is almost better than the original version. This game is long, and so it is not a game you can beat like that. A MUST BUY FOR ANY GREAT VDIEO GAMER! A video game collection is not complete without this great game!

This is a GREAT game. It takes a while to beat but is very fun and not very hard. it isn't really easy like Zelda: the Minish Cap, but not insanely hard like Zelda: the Wind Waker. A fun continous game with good music, good characters, and it's GREAT
all around. ON a scale from 1 to 10, i would give this game a 11!
its my 3 coolest zelda

This game (like the SNES version) rocks. It has got to be one of the best ever made. Its good and long like a video game should be. Not for the faint hearted, it's a game (unlike windwaker)that will push your gaming abilities to the limit. (i'm not kidding this game is haaard) The graphics are just fine for this kind of game (also unlike windwaker[I hated that cell-shading crap])and the music is great(for a videogame). You definatly should buy this one.
(This review only applies to the singal player game. I never even played the multiplayer game, but a game this good can stand on its own)

As much as I love this game I could not force myself to give it anything higher than a three star rate.
The original game is a mindgripping one. However, this game (this version, The Four Swords) is just a way to pass the game in a day. The true purpose of ANY Zelda game (and I think most Zelda fans agree) is to pass the game alone.
The multiplayer function or whatever you want to call it is like using a strategy guide. It spoils the game.
The story line, in itself, is probably the best part. It is an intriguing story which takes you back and forth through time in order to solve the riddles and dungeons that lay before our hero in order to save the Princess Zelda from the evil claws of Ganon (Only Ganon, not Ganondorf as he has become in Ocarina of Time and Windwaker). Most people will agree with me that A LInk to the Past (original game and one player) is the best ZELDA game that has been produced.
Ocarina of Time is a somewhat short version of this game and Windwaker is the sequel to the game.
So, in conclusion, buy this game if you want to play a Link to the Past. But try to pass it by yourself. It is much better that way. Sadly, the original SNES game can not be found very easily.
The original game (A Link to the Past SNES version) would get five stars.
Best GBA game!!
