Virtual Reality Fantasy

I am not a gamer at all but I got this game for Christmas to play on my kids PS2. I was into video games when I was a kid (Atari) but as an adult I lost interest. I can't put this one down. When I'm in my car after playing True Crime: Streets of LA I have an urge to speed through town driving on the sidewalks and running from the cops. I keep two personalities on my memory card. One I play the game as it was meant and the other I kill everyone and run from everyone trying to kill me. I hope they come out with True Crime: Streets of LA Two with the planes, helicopters and motorcycles I here about in Vice City. As for the dragon I haven't gotten there yet. Its fantasy. I am looking forward to the dragon.

Good but Short

This Game was a really good game and the graphics are really good. The only bad thing about this game is that it is really short, the whole game itself took me about three hours to play, each level took me ten minutes to do it.
Other than that the game is a good game, it follows the story and isnt like one of those games that has nothing to do with the story. So all-in-all, its a three star game

I just picked up my copy of True Crime and I am having a blast with it! This game is NOT a Vice City beater. Although the game has a lot of cool features like double guns, unlockable cars, new guns, and Kung-Fu moves, plus there are plenty of missions. The bad things that makes this game a bit below Vice is the control.Even though it is not as resonsive,you will get used to it. Also the missions are way too easy! Also the missions are very repeative like chasing a dude,or a brawl with some pissed off people, or blowing away the bad guys with a bunch of big guns. The game is still very enjoyable and I would recommend to any GTA fan out there who are looking for a great holiday game!

Hm.. this is a hard game to review. It's got a bit of a lot of games in it such as GTA: Vice City, Dead To Rights, Max Payne, and even a little Devil May Cry with those demons. That's the problem with this game, everyone compares it to these bigger, more "best-selling" games when they haven't even tried it. I bought this game right after I rented it. It might not be as good as GTA:VC but they both have their pros and cons.

Great graphics.

I am in no way a big video game buff.... I have a PS2 and have only played this a couple times because I don't have much free time to play. But from what I have played the game is fun, and the graphics are really amazing. Oh and the fact that I got a brand new one for 8 bucks from the Amazon marketplace makes it even better!

Another disappointment

Well, to say the least this game was a disappointment. I was really anxious to play this game. The game plays out like a corny and cheap action movie. You are Nick Kang, you're mother was killed as a child and your father disappeared, now you are a sarcastic and reckless adult. You have an outstanding criminal record but you are the best person when it comes to clutch decisions. The chief of a new branch of LAPD law enforcement recruits you to be the first field agent. You then have to fight chinese and russian gangs and clean up the streets of LA. Well I like the game's concept but they delivered it really poorly. There are 3 main parts of the game, driving, shooting and fighting. The driving is pretty cool because you get to ride and cruise around in a very well recreated LA. The shooting is ok although you don't run out of ammo, which in a way is a good thing for people who like the games to be easy. The fighting is pretty cheesy though you only have 4 types of moves, the punchm low kick, jumping kick, and grapple moves. Outside of the storyline you have petty street crimes to deal with. I felt these to be kind've challenging, mainly because of the good cop bad cop thing. If you beat the person unconscious and then handcuff them you get a good cop rating but if you kill them you get a bad cop rating. I was trying to get a good cop rating by instead of deliberately kiling them I shot them in the leg to injure them or slow them down, well it did neither. The person kept on running at the same speed or it took a bullet in the leg to kill them. You will also find Nick saying some pretty stupid lines such as "You have the right to soak in your own urine" and things like that, they all got to be pretty annoying. Although I liked the concept of the game, I felt they executed and developed it quite poorly.

This game has awesome gameplay, features, I seem to learn more and more as I play. It is a great game, I Highy recommend this game. I rented it for five days, ended up keeping it for seven. I like the fact that while your driving to a mission, you can fight other crime at the same time. I really like how there are so many fighting actions you can learn. you can be a good cop or a bad one. I was a bad cop, the only disadvantage is you can't go that far in the game as a bad cop.

OK, this has to be the worst game of all time. Really unrealistic to it's title, especially because of the part where u have to fight a BLOODY DRAGON. omg that is the dumbest thing ever. also, the part where u have unlimited ammo... ya, that's not quite right. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

i aint into video games much much wen i got dis game it was screamin good i live in los angeles and its all lookin real the freeways r exactly alike n i also got me the gta 3 n VC an i think dat this is better than those its madd hott get this title but it kould use some improvement. out here in LA there are alot of gangbangers krazy cars lowriders and streets that r move lively than these it could use sum work.
but it still tha bomb not alotta weapons.if there kould be a weapon system like in gta VC were u kan switch weapons and gangs r heavy in la so the game could make gangsta wearin gang colors but, again it aint perfect but its still good buy it, shoplift it, do wateva an get dis.
