Enhancements for PC Version

I've read that the PC version of GTA3 will be up to 16 player multi-player online and also have a few additional missions. Anyways, I also saw two screenshots and the game looks even better. Check out the press release from the rockstar site on 3/25 to be real excited!!!

Forget the minimum requirement, forget about gaming, and yes, forget about the fifty bucks you just spent on this clunker. The premise is terrific, I looked forward to something different and man I got it--a solid week of e-mails with their crack support team. Or were they on crack? Anyway, someone want to buy a new game cheap? Better think twice even if you've got the newest hardware.I believe the positive reviews here were hammered out by the Rockstar team to insure they kept their now in question jobs!

NO MULTIPLAYER!

That's right people, no multiplayer, which makes me wonder why we waited so long to get it on PC. I'm sure the singleplayer is fine, but, frankly, I don't care. The multiplayer game in GTA2 was so great, and it looks as though GTA2 is still the best multiplayer carjacking killing-spree out there.

When i bought this game, I expected it to live up to its predicesors (GTA and GTA2); however, it simply doesn't. Right off the bat, this game will only run on maybe 2/3 of the systems out there, if you have an onboard sound or video chip, duron, or celeron procesor you can forget it. Even then, many video cards experience wierd anomolys and signifigant slowdowns when you get into a firefight. The gameplay itself is utterly repetitive, with most missions just being a harder rehash of previous one. Weapons now need to be purchased, and the better one are very very expensive, limiting them to sporatic use. Overall, by the time you've reached the third (and final) island, you'll be board stiff, as you will have spent 15-20 hours doing the exact same thing, only to find that the game holds only more of the exact same thing for you. This game is fun, for about 5 hours, then it [is] just [bad].

I got GTA3, looked at the minimum system requirements. My system far passed the requirements! Installed it, opened it and started the game. It was optimizing itself to my Radeon Prophet video card, top of the line! played the game, it was dark and all of the details where very bad! I couldn't make out a thing, not even in the day! Next time Rockstar needs to look and change the format of the game before they put it on p.c!

I own many PC games, and I must say this game is the most inferior. the quaility of gameplay and sound is Extremely poor. Playablity is for anyone that does not have an intelligent mind. It has NO plot, no Purpose, and no point, did I forget to mention the game goes NO WHERE! I would advise to get Max Payne instead. It is more fun, the graphics rock in Max Payne, even Hitman Codename 47 is better than this one. I would not advise to get it. The game is way to buggy. If you do get it good luck on getting it to run well on your system.
I would give it -10 stars if I could! Better luck next time with Grand Theft Auto 4?

Okay, This game is tight! Everything about it is good, matter of fact you know its good when the government starts talking about taking it off the shelves....I can just see it now....instead of spending money somewhere else, let me get that copy of GTA man!!! I suggest yall hurry up and snatch your copy before someone up there changes there mind.

Finally Grand Theft Auto 3 is comin 2 P.C, Everybody i know is always talkin about it and i dont have PS2 so i cant play it. But now its comin out for P.C so i can play it!!!11 my dreams are about 2 come true!!!

I preorder this game back in February and I waiting anxiously for it to come out. It finally came, and I fly down stairs and load it up. It doesn't work. I restart the computer, It still won't work. Finally one a maricle it works, but it is slooooow. Unless you have all the system requirements, don't even bother with this game. Either find some new game to play or get a new computer.

This is probably the best game there is on the market, FOR PS2. Because I don't have PS2, I bought the game for PC figuring it would be just as much fun. Unfortunately, I never got to find out. The system requirements are unbelievable. Sure I was able to install it, but the game wuldn't run because it requires 12MB of audio memory. I created as much space as possible on my comp. ant it still wouldn't run. Unless you have the world's greatest PC supermachine, don't waste your money on this ...
