It was the best ad&d adaptation I played since 1991. Planescape is the best realm that such a story could occur. A Forgotten Realms adaptation of the same story would probably fail. It is an incredible storyline that forces the player to see what fate is expecting nameless one. It is one of the few games that I literally became the hero. Addictive! Fallout and Torment are the best RPG's i have ever played in my life!
Best game of all time

This is the best game I have ever played. The only bad thing about it is that I just can't enjoy any other role-playing game(or any other game period) as much as I used to after playing this game.

The most off-beat RPG ever. Nothing has ever been quite like it.

This game was a little slow to start so if you are going to install it be preparred to spend a few hours right away. Bring some reading glasses as well because this game is very text based and intellectual. Once I got into this game however, I realised I had never played anything with so much depth and originality in game play. Absolutely brilliant game. Deals with Religon, afterlife, philosophy you will be lost in thought throught your experience. I hope to god they make a sequel, because this game is the reason I play RPGs. If you are an RPG fan and have some time...spend it here. If you don't like this game; I am afraid your just not very smart, so go play another Diablo clone.
Good gameplay and graphics

I was interested in "Planescape: Torment" because for years I've missed the thrills of playing AD&D in my friend's basement. 15 years in fact, but I still remember the rules and the spells, the races and classes, etc.
I've played other computer RPGs (going back to Pool of Radiance), but none really could bring back any of the real excitement of AD&D. Happily, "Planescape: Torment" does.
Granted, it's not quite the real thing, but it's close enough that I've spent many happy hours playing the game, working my way through the remarkably interesting story, and enjoying the combat.
If you can't find the time or companions for some good old gaming, "Planescape: Torment" is a good substitute.

Decent graphics, but a little slow in areas, especially with multiple spells going off at once. Besides that, pretty good plot, decent leveling ability, and VERY nice fighting. I think you'll enjoy. Just be sure to have a 3D graphics card enabled, and some decent RAM.

this game is a real turkey. 1. the theme is goulish, almost disgusting; 2. the pace is extremely slow; 3. the player options are poor. Also, it " eats " memory out of your computer. I have nothing good to say about this game.
Exellent! Awsome! AMAZING!

I bought PLANESCAPE: TORMENT yesterday and I knew I would like it. It is very much like Microsoft's "Age Of Empires" and Westwood's "Command & Conquer" but twice as good

I'm not going to knock BI, this is an awesome game, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would and actually felt that it was a bit limited as far as the games I have seen them roll onto the market. The graphics are awesome, the effects are awesome, and the storyline is great. The only complaint that I have is the character was pre-generated. I hoped that it would have been more open.
